Diamond chuckled. "Here." She pulled a sparkly pair of jeans and a light green shirt from a counter top and gave them to Shade.

"There's a change room just over there." Ribbon smiled and pointed at a small door off in the corner of the room. Sweet trotted off into a back room.

Shade took the clothing and went into the change room...

 

She didn't think that the clothing diamond picked out would look good on her... Then again... The green shirt went with her mane.

 

She teleported the armor back to her room and put on the clothing... She looked in the mirror and spun around a few times....

 

She walked out and... "I guess this looks good"

Lite smiled as she took a gander at the dress that Diamond gave her. "Thanks, but... I think it's a bit too.. Bright for me. It's odd for me to say that since half of my mane is yellow.", she said with a giggle. She looked around the store some some more.

She trotted around a corner and bumped into a familiar pony. "Oops...Sorry." She said to Rambler.

Shade couldn't get her mind off of prom... It was something that would give her an opportunity to feed... But was she willing to do it?

But she tryed not to think about it... It might make her go crazy.

Rambler stepped back and looked at the pony he had just bumped into. After a moment he realized it was Lite Diamond, his drama teacher. He was surprised to see her, and tripped over his tongue trying to come up with an appropriate greeting.

 

"Oh, miss.... uh, I mean Diamond, um... hi. I thought I heard a familiar voice; I guess that must have been you."

(Hello... Now I'll try to get myself into the story, if it sux, just tell me and I'll rewrite it.)

 

No results. Again.

Young mare was nervously stepping on a place while looking through the binocular microscope.

It's been her first year on the university and the freshmen's ethusiasm has already left her. She would never complain, especially about the classes - in fact, all those lectures and practices were the only period of time when she was actually entertained. With the start of the year, she fastly realised that she has nothing to do in her free time - she has no roommate (in fact, she was glad), there is nothing in here room just a bed, plenty of old books (already read, at least three times), pots with some of her carnivorous plants. She also secretly keeps her pet in a room too, but it's sleeping all the time.

She didn't put her glasses off since the start of the year. The only exception is the night - she secretly leaves the university for a small flight, because her wings can't stand the lack of flying. She doesn't want to fly during the day, because she don't like flying in front of those who have flying classes. She's never fancied the company of other ponies (and even if she did.. she told herself she went to the university for studying, not for chatting), so she rather spends all of her free time in the lab, where she examines samples of mysterious materials. Broken unicorn's horn, green ooze, moon dust, lock of Celestia's mane, leaf of the fire plant... all kinds of weird stuff. Some she's got on her own, some she's bought or traded in the magic shops.

But for now, there were no results. Non of the reactions she predicted was about to start. This event put the whole concept of her research into doubt. She sights, and sadly looks at her rubber bracelet with huge words "SCIENCE NEVER GETS OLD".

"I need to take a break or I'll get crazy out of this garbage." she thinks, looking at the green ooze.

She opens her diary, writes down some notes about the research progress, puts her samples into the tubes, tubes into the bag, takes all of her books about the sources of magic, mysterious slimmy things and Solar System (and it's a lot of stuff), tries to ram it in the bag and silently leaves the lab.

She's now on the corridor, slowly walking (in fact, some other way would be almost impossible - her bag is so full that she's pulling it behind her).

*A what???* "Uhh, excuse me?" she asked not really knowing what he was talking about. Lila thought it was kind of insulting that he said that but kind of blew it off and forgot about it. "Lets just get something to eat." she said in a flat voice.

"Alright," Alright, I definitely don't see this going anywhere further. Typhoon thought. Hope I haven't set a new low at that, considering made a pretty bad impression already. Ty trotted along side Lila and let her lead the way to wherever they were going.

Rambler thought he heard a familiar voice somewhere in the shop and decided he might as well go figure out if it was actually someone he knew. The voice was in the same direction that Cascade had gone, so he figured he would find her and ask her if she recognized the voice.

 

After looking around for a few minutes, he found her looking at some expensive-looking clothes.

 

"Hey Cascade, I finished the call I had to make so I figured I would come find you. I heard a voice that sounded familiar; is there somepony else we know here?"

Cascade shrugged unconcernedly, absorbed as she was into the shelves. "Probably," She said distractedly, not looking up. "This store's supposed to be popular for college mares wanting to look good." She smiled as she found a flowy dress that matched the cyan of her mane perfectly.

She's now on the corridor, slowly walking (in fact, some other way would be almost impossible - her bag is so full that she's pulling it behind her).

 

Nightfall heard a pony in the corridor and hoped it was Light Diamond. But when he peeked his head out of his room, he saw a mare that wasn't Diamond. And she looked like she was having trouble. He trotted over to her.

"Hey, you need help with that?"

He smiled.

"Well actually I'm here with Cascade, but I thought I heard a familiar voice in the store somewhere and I went to see who it was. That's when I bumped into you."

"Alright," Alright, I definitely don't see this going anywhere further. Typhoon thought. Hope I haven't set a new low at that, considering made a pretty bad impression already. Ty trotted along side Lila and let her lead the way to wherever they were going.

Lila could hear Ty following behind her but didn't bother looking behind. They soon arrived at a restaurant and Lila sat at a table, along with Ty and a waitress came by and placed down menus in front of them. "Can I get y'all somethin' to drink?" the waitress asked in a light southern accent. "I'll just have water." Lila replied kindly. She then smiled at Ty for no apparent reason.

Rambler turned and went back the way he'd came, looking for Cascade. He honestly thought the idea of going out to lunch with his girlfriend and their teacher seemed pretty weird, but Diamond seemed nice enough.

"Hey, I'm Coco-!".. she shouted at first, but then just added silently: "-drillo." She jumped into her room and closed the door. Then she fell on the carpet, getting from under the bag. Then she got on all fours and unpacked her diary. She started to check her notes once again (and due her bad hoofwriting, it was a mystery to solve itself).

"This doesn't make any sense." she said. Then she looked out of the window, watching all the ponies outside for a second. "But what in this world does."

She watered her plants. They seemed more beautiful than ever before.

"Still, at least Coco knows someone's name here."

Star Rain saw the purple allicorn and assumed she was an employer here. "Hey, um... is there a good dress I can get here for the prom?" she asked shyly, not very comfortable with talking to strangers.

"Your welcome!" Night Song replied, beginning to hover in place like she usually does in response to gratitude. It was a kind of habit she was just born with that lacked further explanation.

Night Song noticed Light Diamond looking uncomfortable and followed her line of sight over to a purple unicorn who looked to be her age. "Oh, heh. Sorry, Ms. Diamond doesn't work here," she said, giggling a tiny bit. "She can recommend you some stuff, right?" she added.

 

(OOC: This feels weird... like I'm talking to myself...)

 

Star Rain's eyes stretched in embarrassment and failed to hide the flustered look on her face. "Oh, uh, sorry... I'll just go now..." she said, backing away.

"Hey, Cascade, uh, that familiar voice I was talking about was actually Diamond, our drama teacher, and she invited us to go to lunch with her at a cafe near here. I told her I would ask you, so do you want to go?"

Diamonds eye's widened. "No no no no...I just...Well, I don't really know what you are into. But I think the best way to start off would be." She held out her hoof. "My name's Light Diamond, whats your name ?" She asked, giving Star a warm smile.
