So Discord: Troll, Fluttershy: Love and Tolerance?

I wonder if anyone thought about how that episode correlated with the relationship between bronies and trolls. Trolls will always troll and bronies will love and tolerate... or in my case just ignore them.

 

Is that where they got the idea for the episode? What do you think?

Wow, I never thought of it like that xP Good thinking! I guess it could be a theory of how they got that idea, but I highly doubt it could of been the reason that the episode was made based on trolls and bronies. Just another coincidence probably

My thought on the whole episode was that you should give a person another chance, even if it's risky. The person who is bad maybe dosen't have any friends at all and just need someone to trust them to change themself.

 

But that the episode shows the relationship between bronies and trolls I never really thought of. It sounds like it's a possibility or just maybe a coincidence. Maybe then Discord in the end is a troll how became one of the herd. xD

Well, to be perfectly honest, I don't see it. Love and tolerance is a running joke, not something you do, unless you want to annoy people when they are being offensive.

 

As was said above, the "moral" of the episode I saw is "Forget your prejudice and give people a second chance". Mind you, people, not trolls.

As said above the real moral was, "Forget your prejudice and give people a second chance".  I really don't see it myself, love and tolerate is a running message in the show.

Yeah I'm really getting tired of love & tolerance being considered a "joke". Sure if it's a phrase being used BY trolls it's not a defense from their behavior but it is a part of the show and should be an expectation from our community. Not sure why that's being derided in the last year. If someone is trolling or hating just hit ignore or call them on it. Peace, love, unity, and respect are all things this community needs.

I don't imagine that they were thinking exactly that when they wrote the episode.  In the end, I think the purpose of the episode was to bring back an extremely popular character and set him up to be a recurring character.  Reforming Discord, as odd as it might sound, was probably the most logical option for doing so.  Any other correlations are probably just coincidence (which, by the way, doesn't make them any less legitimate).

Delancey as Q was always not only endangering the heroes but also generally teaching them something about themselves and vice versa (becoming more human as they said on TNG). Bringing that FUN chaos to the show (remember that chaos is an alignment that can be good or evil although Discord likes to keep his promises which is rather lawful in its own way) is something that can be great if he becomes an ongoing character.

Not exactly. There are a lot of less-than-reputable bronies out there giving us a horrible name by being complete jerks about it and arguing away with everyone who disagrees with them.

Not at all. Trolling is just so pointless, its better to ignore trolls. Love and Tolerance beats trolling by a mile, just saying.

I see it a little bit, but only a little. Discord is the definition of a troll, but like people above me have said, that's not really what the episode was about. Fluttershy does almost always, love and tolerate, but I don't think that has anything to do with Bronies and Trolls. But it could be, I don't know.
