derpy or ditzy doo?

I much prefer Derpy Hooves to Ditzy Doo, however I don't mind when people call her Ditzy Doo. Both names fit her pretty well even if I like Derpy much better.

We need an option for both, cause I call her by both at different times. And sometimes Both at the same time. Like, Ditzy "Derpy Hooves" Doo. :3

I like them both equally.

However, I do believe that Ditzy Doo sounds much cuter to me.

I think I've actually called her Ditzy Hooves once or twice...

 

And I consider both to have the eyes. :3

Well, To be honest, I say both 'Derpy' and 'Ditzy doo', Though i always get strange responses if I do call her Ditzy for some reason. Derpy is obviously a more well known term for her

Well, first of all, her actual name is Derpy. That is the ORIGINAL name. Ditzy is the name of ANOTHER pony mentioned in Winter Wrap Up as the pony who mistakenly went east. After she came back, she had a different mane style than Derpy. Additional information that made me come to the conclusion that Derpy is actually called Derpy is because she was formally addressed as "Derpy" in The Last Roundup"

That's not the point of the topic though. It's asking for an opinion based on what we've seen, and whether we prefer calling her Ditzy Doo or Derpy Hooves. By original name, I didn't mean what the staff have named her, I meant what WE named her.

 

Buuuuuuuut, if Ditzy Doo is her real name...then...damnit. ):

It used to be what the mare was referred to by the show creators, up until early 2011. They changed their minds for good and just personally call her Derpy. She is a background character, after all, they can change their minds about these things as they probably have with other background details in the show. Saying that that "featherbrained pegasus Ditzy Doo" refers to the gray mare with yellow eyes and mane is like saying there is a female player character named "Blue" in the Japanese release of the first Pokémon games just because it was in the beta.

I still call her Derpy, soccer moms be damned. It's the name 4chan's /co/ board gave her when the fandom was just starting, and it's still the one that most people use.

Derpy Hooves is the original name and it should stay that way. Ditzy doesn't sound like Derpy's personality at all, and Derpy just fits her so much better, so Derpy for life. :3

Okay, it seems you got confused when I said "original name". I didn't mean her first name, I just meant the fanmade name. Derpy is the original fan name, and yes, I definitely agree with you on Derpy's name history, but yeah. I may or may not have screwed up my terminology...oops.
