I'm writing an article about Bronies VS. Haters...

Is this the final version that is getting printed or just a draft?

Your wording is sometimes a little unclear, like when you say the show is unnatural...  I don't really understand that. Also when you write that "the main characters face what could only face the destruction of their homeland", what do you mean ?

I think you should have talked a little more about the fandom but I guess you had some kind of restrictions seeing as it's for your school newspaper.

Apart from these nitpicks, good job  :P

@@Malakili,

Thanks for the tips!

What I meant by 'unnatural' is grown people watching the show, not the show itself.

The destruction thing. Think about this; when the Changelings attacked, they would tear apart equestria. When Sombra came back, all of Equestria would've fallen out of balance and been destroyed.

And about the fandom; I couldn't really talk about that much, you are correct. That would've crossed some lines. Notice how I avoided haters calling Bronies 'gay' and how some bronies clop?

And about the wording: I'm surprised I even got it that good. I'm more of a drawer, I'm not very good with words.

I guess we kinda need Haters though. Just... hear me out.

I mean, some people need to oppose us, otherwise there would be no balance. Not that I'm with the Haters, I'm a Brony. But since something most of us (or a few of us, i dunno) believe in harmony, we could never achieve it without Haters creating the balance.

What I'm saying is a little far-fetched, so think of the whole Yin-Yang thing. Harmony requires balance. Just something to think about.

Because haters calling us "faggots" and "pedophiles" is just like the Chinese idea of a balance between good and evil. Totally.

This show does an amazing thing that very few other fandoms have to done to our degree.

This show inspires art.

Think about it, almost every avatar on this page was drawn. There is so much music, and art, and animation, and writing that has come out of this show, and as a lover of art, I think thats awesome.

Reason for loving the show: It's got really catchy songs and dialogue that entertain. It can raise someone's spirit when they are down. It can bring people together who at first would never have been friends. (I know that one from personal experience.) There's a pony that everyone can relate to in some way.

Reason to hate: It's a kids show. It isn't 'manly.' It's too girly. It's against God's word (actual words from someone I met at my school)

My personal opinion: The show has a very interesting way to form a plot, while still being an excellent plot. The songs are upbeat, catchy, and just really good. I fell in love with the show because I could relate to the characters. The lessons in the show have been able to keep me in high spirits. It has a natural feel of just being happy that most shows don't give you nowadays. The voice acting is incredible and the artwork is beautiful.

Bronies VS. Haters, Why The Conflict?

BY: Coolio McKickass

“We tend to accept whatever is usual as natural.” John Stuart Mill said that, but there is an upcoming and very unusual trend. Bronyism. A Brony is a person who is viewed to have outgrown the show My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and yet watches the show anyway. Basically it applies to anyone who can use the internet who has viewed the show. One of the main conflicts on the internet is “Bronies VS. Haters.” So why the fighting? More importantly, why does anyone care? They probably shouldn't, considered the combined  IQ of  all Youtube users, 4Chan users, and facebook users that dedicate a considerable amount of time to any one of those sites is in the single digits.

“Haters” tend to say the show is ‘unnatural’. But as John Stuart Mill said, and adults and teens liking the show is unusual, so therefore ‘unnatural.’ Haters also say the show is ‘childish.’ In a way, the haters are right here. But the show can get dark at times, in multiple episodes the main characters face what could only face the destruction of their homeland and everything they hold dear, such as the episodes “A Canterlot Wedding” parts one and two, and “Friendship is Magic” parts one and two. Some Haters also say the show has no plot, meaning it just repeats the same things over and over. But doesn’t every show do this? Only some shows ever really have dramatic episodes that change the series forever, ‘adult’ shows included. Another thing Haters say is the show is too predictable. Conflict, rising action, climax, falling action. But every show has this also!  If a show didn’t have this vital parts, it wouldn’t be a show at all! Lastly, some Haters say the show has terrible animation. The show uses a ‘flash animation style’ that some people just plain don't have enough intelligence to understand.

So why do Bronies say they like the show? Some members of the RFOC (Really fucking obvious club) say Bronies like the animation style, proving some people like ‘flash’ animation and some people don’t..Another thing Bronies say they like about the show is the character development. In the episodes “Sleepless in Ponyville” and “Wonderbolt Academy” the character Rainbow Dash, usually self-centered, takes interest in her friends and comforts them, and even saved their lives. Bronies also say the show has a good plot. In some episodes, the show leaves off in a two-parter unsure about how the next part will continue. Lastly, Bronies say the show has a good message. No one, or nopony, can disagree with this! The show’s main concepts are acceptance, friendship, and tolerance. Something that lacks robots and explosions, which is a big reason it is hated.

Keep in mind too, that at one time it was unheard of for women to wear pants, or little girls to wear the color pink. Society can change at the flip of a coin, so does this mean one day Bronyism could one day be accepted as ‘normal’? More importantly, will people ever accept that Harmonic Revelations is the best user of MLP Forums? Find out on the next action-packed installment of SCHOOL NEWS.

I took the liberty to edit the article to meet the standards I self-imposed on it, Feel free to read my edits, and critique them. I think it improved the over all feel of the article.

@@Harmonic Revelations,

Every time I saw one of your edits I laughed alittle bit.

I'm actually thinking about adding some of this in, but, 'ya know, making it middle school appropriate. Sweet Celestia my spelling is terrible

The other thing I was going to say was that basically you just copied every point from this video right here, for whatever reason.
