"Fortune is right" the dragon said to the light being, “we are not the best choice to guard this artifacts or search for this champion the city is now overrun by those creatures and there is no a safe way out” he said with a calm voice kind of a strategist one “I don’t think we will be able to keep this treasures safe”. Colt was also thinking of how hard this mission was going to be for the young ones such a burthen for them was just not fair, not when they deserved a peaceful life.

Fortune looks over at the dragon for a moment.

"Is there some challenge buried in those words? Probably not... But despite my age, I want to help." He thought to himself for a minute before taking a step forward and his hat off. "Actually, I'd be honored to help. If there's any way to help, I'd be honored. Colt Fortune at your service."

"This could be fun. I'll do it. Never know, something really interesting might happen and we might all learn something about ourselves and each other. Let's find this Champion guy!"

 

[so... new Pondah off on a grand adventure of saving the world and stuff like that. A cliche but hopefully quite fun. I need to find some blank paper for an adventure log. Then if I die, ponies can know what I died doing. Unless I don't die.]

 

"Everybody up for it? It'd be a shame to leave Epona here disappointed now."

"So they're like the Elements of Harmony." Solar Flicker muttered to nobody in particular. "And if we find the Champion they'll create a new tear." But each Element was embodied in a pony. Faith, honor, peace, strength, joy, and luck. She ran over the list in her mind. None of them really fit her, though some were evident in her companions. "I don't get it." She spoke to the golden alicorn. "Why us?"

"It is true you are not the ones I would have picked. But something drew you here, something beyond even my ken. And you may well be the only ones still free from His clutches. I beg of you, please, take this upon yourselves. Your fate, the fate of Equestria, depends on it."

"As I said, I'm ready to help. I need only know which of these is mine. The "Tear's" burden is my responsibility now. And I intend to see it through. As long as my friends here are with me, I have no doubt we can succeed against this terror."

Fortune said more confident in himself and the others around him than ever.

After being momentarily dazzled by the image of the golden allicorn, Star Rain stayed silent, taking in everything Watcher said and committing it all to memory. Tears of Virtue? Faith? Honor? Peace? Strength? Joy? Luck? I wonder... do these have anything to do with us? "We'll guard the Tears of Virtue and find the Champion," she said solemnly. "Do you have any additional information?" she added.

The alicorn shifts slightly, wincing. "I am afraid we do not have much time. Even now, he seeks to breach this tower. You must escape, now." Her horn begins to glow, then stops, a faint grey mist creeping around the corners of the door. Composing itself, it leaps for the alicorn, worming its way into her nose and mouth. She shudders, writhing. "N-no... You shall... not... graah!" With a blinding flash of light, the tower and the gems disappear, replaced by a far-off view of Canterlot, the flames from the burning city lighting the sky.

"No." Solar Flicker shook her head, stunned. "No, no, No, NO, NO!" Her voice raised with each denial. "This can't happen! Epona promised he wouldn't get her!" Her heart pounded in her ears and she felt the desperate, pressing desire to just hide in herself and forget that anypony else existed. Her parents wouldn't remember her now, that was a plus. But what else? The capital of Equestria was in flames, the Princesses were gone, the watcher and the tears were forgotten. Nothing was left.

"We've got to get to Canterlot." She straightened her back and stretched her wings. "I'm not waiting." She flew off, pounding her wings against the wind wishing desperately that nopony would see the tears on her face.

"That was interesting. Anypony else going in there? If a majority do, I'll go as well." Pondah sighed, the realism of the situation only just making itself apparent.

 

[Even Epona said that we wouldn't have been the ones she would have picked.] These words rang through Pondah's head, echoing louder and louder until eventually a single tear escaped Pondah's eyes.

 

[They've said that before. Mum, dad, prepare to be proved wrong. I will come to some good.]

"Who knew an aspiring treasure hunter would come to help save Equestria?" He said quietly to himself. "I guess if everypony else is helping, there's no turning back now. I can't abandon those in need. I'll throw my hat in the ring." Fortune said with a confident look in his eye. "I'm ready whenever you ponies are. Or should I call you guys my friends?"

“Keep your feelings in line Solar!” the dragon scream to her while he tighten his fist in rage looking at the falling city and what that meant to him, the picture of Canterlos was destroying him from the inside but to bring his friends, the sisters, back he needed to keep this ponies safe with the tears “There is nothing we could to fix what lies behind of us, we will keep going forward and rebuild what was lost”

 

“Still we now need to find shelter, we need to understand how are we are going to find this Champion “ he said to the group, “And I bet my scales that the jewels are the key ” The dragon estimated that the forces that atacked canterlot wil start the serach for the jewels and they needded to stay in the move.

Either way, we don't know if those gemstones have been taken by this "grey guy." Personally, I go for the second option as knowledge is power but that's just me. . No way this can die! Okay, so here's my reply I thought I posted this earlier. Oops.

Solar Flicker pounded the air with her wings to draw to a stop. Her lungs forced air in and out of her body. Canterlot was farther away than she had thought. Angrily, she swiped a hoof against her eyes. "But how?" She exploded. "That's an entire city, burnt to ash! We're seven creatures, there's no way we can build a city."

"Well then, if it is fine with everypony else, let's move to a nearby place of interest." Pondah pulls out a map and looks over it. "Going North West gets us to Vanhoover which is very far away. North East takes us to Manehatten A similar distance East are Baltimare and Fillydelphia. South West gets us to Las Pegasus which is also fairly far. Due South is Ponyville and we are very close to that. I say we go for Ponyville. It's close by, has a hospital for "ol' cripple" here (Pondah points at Fortune) and it'll have places where we can get some on this Grey Guy."

"Definitely! I heard there's a library there that's pretty much the equivalent of the one in Canterlot. I say we go there!" Star Rain said during her rare moments of euphoria. She then looked toward the south and saw the small town in the distance. Finally, I'm leaving my old life behind...

"But... but... Canterlot!" Solar Flicker stuttered. "We can't just leave those ponies to die!" How could they so easily forget the city that once housed the princesses of Equestria? "I say we split up." She suggested. "I might not be the smartest pony around, but if some of you take Fortune to  Ponyville and the rest go to Canterlot, that makes two groups and we can all help more ponies."

"I'll go to Ponyville ,I've almost been killed enough times here in one day and research is one of the few things I specialize in. I can get us some stuff we will need. Thing is though, how will Ponyville Team contact Canterlot Team? You might get annihilated and we would be none the wiser. Oh and we need codenames for the teams. Group A and B sucks. How about " Sages and Canterlot Infiltrators?

"Haha... Yeah, sounds like a sound plan to me. I'm ready to head out whenever all of you are." Fortune couldn't help but let out a small chuckle at Pondah's comment. He looked back at the burning Canterlot. "Maybe I can talk some of the ponies there to form a militia to help take Canterlot back. I have quite a silver tongue as I'm told."

"Well we haven't got a moment to lose. No trees and no caves in between us and a due south walk to Ponyville. Anypony else coming? If so come quickly." Pondah turned to Colt. "Need a hoof walking? Only a short trip before something more professional can be done about that nasty injury."

 

Pondah started walking to Ponyville with Colt behind. "Let's do this."

Fortune shook his head and smiled at Pondah.

"No it's alright. Don't worry about it. As long as we're not running I'll be fine, otherwise I can just fly to keep up." He said, following behind Pondah. "So, what do you think of the others with us?" He said a bit quieter than normal.

  Whisper Woods had spent a few good days traveling around this land. Upon passing a small group of these "Earth ponies" she had overheard talk of a "Summer Sun Celebration".

 

"They celebrate the sun...?But why?" she thought to herself. Listening further, she had determined her destination to be Canterlot. After taking a quick peek at her map and putting it back in her pouch, Whisper made way towards Canterlot. When she arrived in the middle of the chaos, she wasn't sure what to do. Her little heart beat fast as Whisper watched the ponies fight eachother.

 

"I do not like this celebration!" she exclaimed, reeling backwards and galloping out of the city.

In hushed tones, Pondah told Colt. "I don't think that the Dragon and Star Rain like me. I reckon they're fed up of me and that I'm weak link in the group. I think that Amber can only just tolerate me due to that "incident" earlier." Pondah turned to the other ponies and shouted, "Last chance! Hurry if you're coming!"
