Here's some...stuff

First off, I apologise in advance for any sleepless nights, temporary blindess or vomiting induced by witnessing these creations. 

 

I dont know why i'm posting these here, they're not brag worthy, and burning them would waste fire - but hey, i've drawn them, and someone's gonna suffer see them. So here's the thing, i've been feeling quite down about my art lately  , comparing myself to much better people and knocking myself back about it all. I spoke to a few members of the forums here, and they really helped me look at things a different way, so I sat and I thought for a while, and I stayed up drawing last night. Now - again, they're not good, and they're not special or anything, but this is the first time i've drawn properly in a really long time. I used to be better at drawing, months and months of being lazy has rusted my talents, and so I have to start somewhere right? Again...

 

So...without further delaying, enjoy these eyesores artworks

 

 

 

Here is the first collaboration of drawings, one was a fairly quick sketch of the completed pony, the other was one of my attempts at a front facing stallion, and the third was my first attempt at a 3/4 perspective of a stallion. My god they are difficult to draw. 

 

 

 

 

 

I figured, if im practicing my drawings to get back into things, I may as well go and practice some stallion heads (something i've never attempted before, i've always drawn mares) I used references for these 3 - as you can tell. Eeyup. 

 

 

 

 

 

And then apparently I get worse at drawing the more I try, so this is just some random drawing of a full bodied stallion (again, i've only ever drawn mares before) now...with this. I gave up, honestly. It was looking good during the skeletal phase, and the fleshing phase, but when it came to detail...I just don't know what went wrong.

 

 

 

Anyway that's it for now, i'm sure i'll scare you all with some more later. And I apologise for the horrendous eraser marks and previous drawing sketches that you can see under most of the drawings here...but hey, that's what you get at 5am. Let it also be known that im far better at doing flat perspective than 3/4 perspective, or any other pose other than standing still for that matter. Basically, this is my GOOD work. 

 

And if you feel like critiquing then...well...go ahead - but please keep in mind these are my first drawings in lifetimes, and I have drawn better than this before, belive it or not. 

Millionth edit: So I finally managed to get pictures of them...with a camera. Because technology hates me, so you'll have to make do with non-downloaded crap quality pictures   I'm not editing anything else...that's it, im done. 

That last drawing makes me cringe every time I look at it...did I really upload that? Scratch that...did I really DRAW that? I must've been tired.

The second one is good! The other two could use some work, I'd suggest looking at bases if you haven't already. Using bases really helps you draw better, believe me. But overall, I love your work.

Dude these are awesome. Enough with the self criticism. I'd give my hands to be able to draw as awesomely as that, but then obvious art related problems would arise...

Thanks, but honestly I know I can draw better, I just need to get back into it, and this is hopefully the first step. 

I'm looking at them now and already starting to dislike them, but that's just me I could create the worlds most detailed and sophisticated aesthetically pleasing piece of art, I would like it for about an hour, then look back and be like - "Merh, I can do better."

Thank you, and I like the second one too. The third one just urks me now and that was supposed to be my best piece of the 3 haha.

ah yes, i am like you, sir. months of laziness detering my drawing skills. ive started again recently as well, but just with pony anatomy and expressions. this inspired me to perhaps post my roughs^^

 

as to the artwork, its very good. i like the expressions. just work on form a teensy bit and youve got yourself some artistic potential
