Swift was winded from the race.panting heavily as she looked over the smoking rubble that was appleloosa.

 

Swift " dont underestimate us pegasi we are full of suprizes and THAT WAS SO AWESOO...oh dear celestia...we were to late. I guess you get to see just why I didnt want him chosen to lead the fight here...knowing him appleloosa is just a show of force to scare princess Luna and those following her ideals...there's still hope,maybe we can plead with celestia to pull him back to the castle."

As the chaos broke out, Strong believed it was time to act, with a battle cry, ha launched himself toward the wrecked building where Runedust was standing, his hammer pulled back ready to strike...

Fluttershy's gentle spirit still had not adapted to the rages of war, and her tears flowed freely. This ruffian of a guard wasn't making it any easier on her, as she felt that her life might be cut very short if she didn't do exactly what they asked of her.

 

The guard sneered at her, and spat in her face. "Lunarian scum. We will show you the price of betrayal to Princess Celestia."

 

Don't call me scum...I'm a pegasus just as so many of the rest of you are like. "W-w-w-what a-a-are y-y-you g-g-going to do to me?"

 

"Hmm...well, for starts...how attached are you to your wings? No...maybe we'll leave you intact and present you to Celestia as a prize...and watch as she strips you of your talent and your wings. Make you a monochrome pony, just as that vile leader of yours has done to some of our most talented fighters."

 

"My leader is a fair and gentle alicorn. She does not celebrate in our wounds, nor does she condescend to us when we fail. She reinforces us, and believes that we can do better. When was the last time you got a compliment from your Princess?"

 

 

The guard twitched for a second, and then raised his hoof and slapped Fluttershy across the face, the resulting motion creating what would become a black eye. "Shut up! You don't know nothin' about Princess Celestia, traitor!

 

"Oh...hit a soft spot, have I? Go ahead. Hit me some more. Break my wing, if you must. It doesn't matter. All that will matter is that the end of the day I will know is that Nightmare Moon thinks highly of me and trusts me. Can you say the same of yourself?"

 

The guard was about to strike again, when he heard a loud commotion outside. That was the last coherent thought he had as the small detachment of volunteers from the Lunar Kingdom began to raid what was left of Appleloosa.

 

"I would advise you step away from Lieutenant General Fluttershy right now if you value your life." Sunrise Song said to the second guard, sword in hoof with four or five more others behind him. There was a snarling appearance to his face, and the other guard backed off.

 

"Sunrise Song? What are you doing here? You were supposed to be on reconnaissance over Canterlot!" Fluttershy seemed disappointed, but not upset--she was glad to having been rescued and her wings and body remaining intact for yet another day.

 

"I'm sorry, sir...I was unexpectedly detained at the Castle before departing for my surveillance mission. General Macintosh sent out the call to action, and I volunteered."

 

"Normally I would cite you for insubordination, but considering the circumstances I believe your disobedience was well warranted, Sergeant. Now let's go rescue Brigadier General Rarity and get out of here!"

(OOC: I see this world's Fluttershy as more sly, conniving and bold. She will still have her gentle timidity, but all of that falls to the wayside when she's out in the dirt and getting shot at or attacked by unicorns or earth ponies. And, yes, I know I gave myself a bump in grade--when I saw the ranking for Lance Corporal in the USMC, I decided that somepony of his skill didn't deserve such a low grade.)

(OOC: Perception to the individual: Sunny and Fluttershy don't know what's going outside of their immediate surroundings, so when they do get outside and find Rarity and Strong ready to bugger out of there, they'll just cross their hooves and get out of "Dodge". Are we going to let the Solar Kingdom keep hold of Appleloosa for now, or will the regiment dispatched by Big Mac be enough to counter the forces we encounter--although the city no longer has much tactical advantages as it's been basically leveled.)

Strong continued to fight the guards, he saw another pony going into the building, quickly running in, he saw Sunny at Fluttershy aid, "Well this just got a bit easier, glad you could make it Sunny" said Strong with a smile before hammering a Celestian troop that ran at him

"Easier said that done, Strong Hooves! We're outnumbered 10 to 1 here! Where's Rarity?" Sunny's tone was urgent, knowing that to get in and get out as fast as was equine-ally possible with both of the Elements that had been captured, and to get back within Lunarian borders with a minimum amount of losses.

(OOC: Ahh, a dissenter to the cause. Ah, well. We can't attract everypony to the winning side, goldenHoof. )

 

Sunny felt an arrow zing past his neck, knowing that it was likely just a tiny bit off. "If she isn't, I'm carrying her. General, we need to leave NOW!"

 

Fluttershy nodded, and called out in her clearest, loudest voice. "Lunarian troops, fall back...I repeat, fall back and get back inside Lunar Republic territory as soon as you're able!"

 

What unicorns there were there teleported themselves away, leaving the Earth Ponies and pegasito quickly scatter as best they could. The mission was over, and everypony was safe--for now. However, it came at a horrible price--the inhabitants of Appleloosa, some just innocent civilians that didn't want to leave their homesteads now cast to the winds, were now dispersed as if they were grains of sand falling out of a broken hourglass. Most had escaped...others, others weren't so lucky, as broken bodies lay littered among the debris of demolished buildings as Solar Kingdom troops scavenged over the fallen to plunder whatever they could.

Strong had met back with Zanthak who teleported the two back to Dragon Mountain, feeling that the time was right, he went to his sleeping quarters and grabbed the Celestian information he had gained from Snow. He then went to wait for the return of Fluttershy and Sunny, the documents held in his mouth, I believe it's time that we showed the Celestians that they arent the only ones who know how to attack...

Runedust "appleloosa is just some second prize to me...how am I to show my face to celestia without any of the element bearers...I will be in my quarters and do not wish to be disturbed"
