Bright Spark woke to the sound of Metal hitting metal. Suggesting that The blacksmith had begun his day. He got up from His straw bed, and went into the kitchen to make a quick bowl of soup. Afterwards he went over to his armour stand, and pulled off his steel armour and boots. No point in wearing a helmet anyway. He pulled out his trusty double bladed steel axe, enchanted with the ability to set his enemies alight. This, aswell as his healing spell, were all he ever needed. Bright spark was sworn to the legion, and had moved into riften after aiding its takeover from the rebels. Because of his effort, and from saving the emperers life, had had been awarded the home "lanceguard."
But today felt, different. Almost as if he was destined for something else. nontheless he sheathed his axe, and went to see if The blacksmith could improve it. as it was looking a little dull. Edited by darklord60

Rambler awoke in his rented room at the inn in Riften at the crack of dawn. He grabbed his steel sword and shield and headed out to look for work. That was one of the benefits of not wearing any armor, as was traditional of his people. He didn't have to spend time donning heavy metal plates, and could get up and move quickly, always ready for battle.

He had a strange feeling like today was going to be unusual somehow. Like something really important was about to happen. He left the inn and headed out into the center of town.

Flame had been sitting at the bar...the whole night, sipping on the same beer which had now gone flat.

After a moment he glanced out the window and saw the sun peeking over the horizon. He dropped a few bits onto the counter then, after collecting his things he trotted out of the tavern and towards the center of the town.

Bright Spark went up to the trusty Black smith. who saw him coming

"Ah! my best customer! let me guess, you need ol' firecracker sharpend?"

Bright spark had his need predicted. "yeah, shes getting old."

ah thats ok. tell you what. I had a shipment of metals and leather coming in from whiterun that was supposed to arrive yesterday but it never did. if you can get the items from the shipment and bring em' back, Ill repair and sharpen the firecracker free of charge. we got a deal?"

Bright spark thought about it "I dunno..."

"Ill throw in 500 bits too."

"ok then." bright spark said, he left the city of riften and set out for whiterun.

Rambler spent a while looking for work in Riften, but there wasn't really anything in his vein. He decided to go to Whiterun and see about joining the companions. That seemed like it would be more his style.

@,

(We can meet on the way to Whiterun if you want.)

(OOC: Well...Change of course.)

Flame trotted into the town square and walked over to the nearest salespony. "I'm looking for a map to Whiterun." He said, quietly. The sales pony nodded and walked over to a barrel full of scrolls. He pulled a small scroll from the barrel and gave it to Flame. "Six bits." He said. Flame nodded and placed the bits on the table. He then made his way to the town gates.

After leaving the town, Flame unrolled the map and pulled a compass from his bag. After examining them for a moment he set off down the road.

@,

Bright Spark got himself a mead from the inn and went along for the main gate. He remembered that there was an important event happening soon. Apparently the emperors cousin was getting married and He had been told to Guard it. While Guarding wasn't anything special t could mean better rewards down in riften. But for now he had a job to do. He noticed a pony looking around, like the kind of pony to ask for help. And as much as Bright Spark hated hiring others he would have too much stuff to fight off bandits so he went over.

"Hey. You looking for work? I'm heading to whiterun for a delivery and i'll be too heavy to fight off bandits. You game?"

@,

Rambler looked the pony over. He seemed like he could handle himself, and looked trustworthy enough to hold true to his bargain, so why not?

"If I help, we split the reward 50-50. Otherwise, it's not worth losing time I could be spending getting drunk with the Companions in Jorrvaskr."

"the companions?" Bright Spark cuckled at this "what makes you think they would let you in within the day Probably take you a few moons or so but I can't complain." He shrugged. "i'm only going to need you the second half of the trip which  I will have to do tomorrow so feel free to just take a cart "

Rambler chose to ignore her comment about the Companions and thought for a moment about how he would get to Whiterun.

"If it's all the same to you, I'd rather go with you the whole way. I like to get to know the people I work with. I don't like having to pay for a cart anyway."

"whatever. I ususally don't hire help So I might as wellget to know who iv'e hired." he opened his mead and took a swig, resenting at the taste. "ugh. Low quality mead. They never tell you what type your getting." he threw the almost full bottle at the ground before he began trotting along

Rambler watched him take one swig before tossing his bottle aside. That was pretty much how he felt about mead in general

"All mead tastes foul, anyway. You can't even get properly drunk on it unless you chug bottles of the stuff. I stick with ale myself."

He followed his employer along towards the gates.

"Anyway, my name is Rambler, what's yours?"

Bright Spark shrugged. "makes it all the better for travels. I always go for honeybrew if i'm going to get drunk anyway."

He heard  Rambler ask his name

"the name is Bright Spark. Proud Impearial and candidate for thane of riften." He left through  the gates and pulled out his map to route the quickest path o Whiterun.

Striker Had woken up from his secret resting place on a house in Whighterun, he woke to the sound of the villagers coming to the market, lucky for him he was great at not being spotted, a life of a assassin is never a easy one, Striker had to resort to petty theft when he was not given any targets. Lately he had been getting less and less so stealing from others was his only way to survive, looking around he saw no good targets to loot from an old pony here a guard there, no one really worth the trouble. Jumping down Striker crawled slowly out of the alleyway making sure no one saw him. He decided to go to the towns bar, there was always easy pickings there.

Flame stopped at a fork in the road and sat down on a small log next to the road. He pulled his map, compas and canteen from his bag, he looked over his map as he sipped some water from his canteen. *I really need to buy a better saddlebag...like one that doesn't cover my wings.* He thought, looking back at the bulky saddle bag.

Colt just escaped the cave he was adventuring, before it started to cave in and get overran by monsters.

"By the nine! Those damn drougir ponies didn't give-" His words were interrupted by the loud sound of rocks falling behind him. "No pony's going in that cave any time soon..." He looked back at the cave and put his bow and quiver around his back. "Better go sell what I collected." He said, looking down at the pouch of gems and iron he collected and took out his map. "I guess Whiterun's the nearest city from here." He said looking over the horizen. "Alright, guess I'm going this way! Whiterun, here I come!" Colt started galloping towards the city.

After about an hour's travel Colt arrived at the gates of the fair city.

"These places are built like fortresses compared to the Gallopwood (Valenwood, I'm just improvising.)" He approached the main door and saw a guard standing there.

"Hold there stranger! What's your business in Whiterun?" The guard interrogated.

"I'm just here to sell some treasures and lay my head for a day or two. This city seems like a fine place." Colt responded. The guard nodded at the stallion.

"Very well then. You may enter. But watch yourself, or you'll end up in the dungeon."

"Wouldn't think of it. Don't worry sir." I returned a nod and watched as they opened the gates. He walks in to the city and head to the inn marked his map. "Guess this is where I'm staying. Not a bad place." He walked into the inn and rented a room for the night, then left and started to take a walk around the city, looking for the best store to sell his treasures in.

Striker was disappointed "Not one drunk with enough money on them!" on the bright side he was given a target, The Emperors cousin who recently got married, Not a bad taget but Striker was more excited for the pay, he hadn't eaten anything within the last two days, and with no money, he was really desperate. Ironically enough Striker hated killing unless truly necessary, "well in this case, i guess it is necessary..." Striker thought to himself. Suddenly a extreme feeling of hunger overtook Striker, he felt dizzy and was having trouble standing up, he NEEDED money for food. Looking around he saw a pony walk into the city, from the looks of it he had a lot on him, and from all the dirt and rubble that had collected on him, Striker guessed he was a miner. Striker quickly made his way behind the pony. He wasn't going to kill him, there would be to many guards, but when the moment was right he would take as much as he could.

The leather had been completley burned and all the metals but gold had fully melted. There was an almost fully burned not with the words "shipment to riften" written at the top. Bright Spark sighed "it appears the shipment was destroyed. I say we take a rest at whiterun and go back tommorow."

Flame put away the map and his compass, then he continued down the trail, taking the left path.

Eventually he came across two ponies who were looking at an old scorched cart. "What happened here ?" He asked, approaching the two ponies...and the burnt cart.

Bright Spark unsheathed his axe and spun around, a little on edge after coming across such an attack. When he heard the quetion he answerd as bluntly as possible so as to not give too much detail.

"it was a shipment of smithing items. Leather and metals mainly. It was heading to riften."

Striker slowly followed the pony, making sure not to get seen, eventually he caught up with the pony, he saw his chance and took it he carefully opened up the ponies bag as fast as possible, A grin appeared on his face, "What Luck! This really was a mining pony!" Striker saw all the precious stones and minerals and couldn't help gasping a little. He then saw in the middle of the pile a huge crystal, Probably worth a LOT of gold, Striker then grabbed for the crystal....

Gurgle sat at the bar, bored. He needed something to do.He asked for a mead and surveyed the area. To his left he saw some high unicorns, He didn't want anything to do with them. Nothing else in the bar Looked Interesting so he decided to leave. He exited whiterun and went to look for some deer to hunt. Of in the Distance he saw several ponies talking to each other and he went to invstigate.

"Whats going on here?" Gurgle asked, unsheathing his Dwarven flame enchanted sword and his resist Frost Iron shield

Flame took a couple steps back. "Easy there." He said, eyeing the pony's axe. "Well...was it your cart ? Or did you just find it here ?" He asked, looking at the Carriage, but making sure this pony was still within sight. "Wow...that's quite some damage isn't it." He said, staring at the metal's inside the carriage that had all been melted.

Rambler saw another pony coming from Whiterun to investigate. He walked over and tried to explain what they knew.

"We don't really know what happened, the cart was like this when we found it. It was supposed to be carrying shipping materials to Riften."

Flame turned around to hear the voice of another pony behind him. "Ok...Let's just stop it with the swords and axes and the weapons in general. We're all just trying to figure this out and to be honest...I don't think anypony here wants any trouble." He said, taking a few steps back from the pony that had just arrived.
