This arguably belongs in the RP world since it pertains to roleplaying, but the game won't be taking place on the forums, so I thought that would be kind of misleading.

 

As the title says, I'm trying to gather a group to play D&D with over Skype. This is unrelated to the games  I'm already running, although I suppose there's nothing stopping you from doing both. I'm working with Flame Dancer on this, so he's looking for people, too. If you're interested, post here or PM one of us.

 

 

New players are welcome and encouraged (Flame Dancer is new himself), and I'll gladly provide assistance for anyone who needs it. If you want to contact me over Skype, which is generally much more efficient, my name is alex.kennedy118.

I'd be very interested in joining. I used to play D&D, but only 3.5 and 4(As a Druid/Barbarian, Cleric, and Paladin.) . I'll try and figure out how Skype works, so that I can contact you through that, as well.

I'm totally in.  I already have a character sheet for a beginning character together, and I have a Skype account all put together.  I'm not particularly skilled, but I memorized a lot of the beginning wizard's spells and I've played a couple sessions with another brony DM.

What edition did you make your character sheet for? Like I said, we're either going to be playing 3.5 or Pathfinder, but a lot of it should carry over anyway.

Erm... the latest one.  I only made it in November or so.  I'm sorry, I'm really not clued into this.  I have six-sided dice and that's all.  Eep!

I'm not sure if the latest edition would be 4th or Pathfinder, because Pathfinder isn't entirely official as a version of D&D. I guess I'd have to see the character sheet to know which one it is.

 

If you need dice, there are about ten million dice simulators on the internet you can use.

I'd say we do 3.5, but I don't know anything about pathfinder. Also, I'll be using a Dice Roller  if that's okay, idk what happened to my dice. I just made a Skype to use, I was having trouble installing. Skype name is Brosparkles. (Now skype just freezes everything else on my computer while open )

I could care less. Real dice are more fun in my opinion, though. Also Dice Rollers always seem to be unlucky for me.

It's not really too much different from 3.5, really. Almost all the basic rules are the same. It took me about five minutes to adjust to it from 3.5

I don't use windows, so I have no idea. I can't say I've ever heard anyone else mention anything like that either. Sorry I can't be more help.

That isn't entirely clear at this point, but I think it's just going to be a D&D thing. Largely because in my experience, it's hard to DM an MLP-based game. Still, if enough people want to, I'll work something out.

I think I'd be game for something like this. My last D&D group kinda fell apart because we all moved away from each other >: I've got extensive knowledge of 3.5, so I could help someone out in that category as well, and I've done extensive research on Pathfinder.

I have no idea. I haven't even really figured out a campaign yet, and we probably won't actually start playing for a while yet. Usually I start players off at level four, though.

Am I DMing? I don't know. If no one else is going to, then yes. But I don't get to be a player very often any more, so it would be nice if I didn't have to. It depends on if anyone else is willing and I think they're capable.

Yeah, I'd prefer it was someone with experience. I don't mind doing it anyway, I just wish I could get a chance to be a player for once. I might end up helping someone DM and playing at the same time.
