movies/tv I Feel Like Bad For Liking DBZ

Everywhere I go DBZ is bashed, hated, and criticized for being nothing more than a pile of shit. DBZ is my all-time favorite series, and I know this is going to sound sad, but I can't stand the hate it gets. Things like Pokemon and My Little Pony have these big followings, and yet DBZ is just known by most people to be "that show where nothing ever happens".

 

It makes me feel like I shouldn't even like DBZ, and should just give all of my stuff pertaining to it away. I can't even enjoy watching it anymore without constantly thinking about how hated it is by so many people. I don't know how to get over this.....

Just try ignoring the hatred, don't care about what other people think. DBZ defined anime when it first came to television.  If they hate DBZ, then they don't know what anime is. I wouldn't care if they bash Dragonball GT or Dragonball Z Kai. But, if they bash Dragon Ball and DragonBall Z then they are crazy in the head.

You shouldn't care personally DBZ is my fav Anime, i just love the action in that show. The compliant i hear is usually that the characters spend too long talking but even so the action makes up for it. My fav DBZ character is Vegeta!

Really? I usually hear nothing but praise for that show! I myself don't really care that much for it, but trust, A LOT of people do.

 

Don't feel bad for it either. You just like something a lot of other people supposedly don't Oh well...

Who cares what other people think, you should watch what you want!  I grew up with DBZ, and I still love it to this very day!  If I had a party canon back then I would have used it to spread my love and cheer for the series!

Don't let them bother you. Your opinion is your own opinion, and it doesn't matter what their opinion is. I see this a lot, sometimes hating something becomes a fad and people push aside their own personal opinions to join the opinions of the popular.

 

DBZ used to be a really popular show, I don't know why it's so hated these days. I noticed back when I was more active in the anime/manga fandom that there was always a brigade of anti-Shonen elitists that hated on everything Shonen, even shows they hadn't even watched. "It's all trash" they would always say.

 

It drove me up a wall. Don't get caught in the hatred. I realize that people these days seem to be a lot more proud of what they hate than what they love, and that's sad. Be proud of what you like. It doesn't matter if the majority - or perceived majority - hate it. Your opinion is all that should matter for you.

 

Personally I love DBZ. It's shallow, it has very apparent flaws everywhere, but I just can't help but love it. It has a great amount of appeal in it that just can't be found in anything else I have watched. It's fun, and I love it. And I'll proudly say it. =P

Nothing Dragon Ball appeals to me but so what? Different people have different tastes, and you shouldn't feel like you're inferior just because you like a show that others don't. If the show makes you happy then why should it matter what others think?

That's opposite for me. I hear so much people at my school who LOVE DBZ. Yes, they do make fun of DBZ in a comedy manor...like this vid CRACKS ME UP!

 

 

I laugh at it only because YOU HAVE TO know what is and get the jokes. Otherwise, I liked DBZ, it was a pretty good anime. It was pretty old, but I enjoyed it and especially the comedy in the show itself. For example.
