Chamois continued towards Nightfall.  "Come on, raise your head to the skies!" she said.  "Come on now, don't be shy!"  What?  Chamois...what? 

I...don't...know.

(I really don't know what just happened xD)

Chamois then watched the poison joke incident play out.  Of course this would happen.  Of course.  And then the orb appeared.  Chamois jumped back slightly, surprised.

Chamois then watched the poison joke incident play out.  Of course this would happen.  Of course.  And then the orb appeared.  Chamois jumped back slightly, surprised.

 

He looked at her, suddenly becoming confused.

"Ch-Chamois... are- are you ok..? I mean, are you ok with the pairing..?"

He blushed deeply, trying to keep looking at her, while his head kept drooping. He noticed everything that went on, but was still confused. He looked back at Chamois.

"We- we should probably go..."

Moonbeam followed Lost to check on Arrow. Poison Joke really could do a number on someone, and she needed to make sure she was okay, though she didn't have the same academic curiosity as Lost Knowledge.

 

"Once we retrieve the sword, I can take you to some...thing in the forest that can help reverse that," she said. She knew almost all of the creatures in the forest, from monstrous to mundane, and only two had a cure for poison joke. If Arrow wasn't in any serious danger though, it is best to continue their mission before worrying about the poison joke.

 

Suddenly, an orb flew towards them and hovered in midair. Moonbeam was tempted to poke it with a stick, but she thought it best to follow Paradox's warning and leave it alone.

The orb just hovered in front of everypony.

 

"I wanted to apologize for my actions, you must understand its not easy being a changeling, and being starved dosnt help. Besides... I work better alone, keep this orb with you at all times, il be your eye in the sky and guide you through the hive. As for me, the other changeling haven't suspected anything about me yet so I think il be fine." Shade said through the orb.

"It's Shade!" Paradox growled. He didn't trust her, and he never really would now that she was working in the hive. "What the hell do you want?! And why should we even trust you?! You we're the one who got upset and ran off to join the changeling army to FIGHT us! Now, I say we ignore this little stupid spere and go on our way, everypony."

The orb still hovering in front of every pony...

 

"Have you learnt ANYTHING about me? Halfling, banished from the hive? If I joined the army I'd be locked up and probably killed here if I show my face here. Plus, do you even know where to look for the sword? Because I have an idea on where it might be. And do you even have a plan? From what I can see, your making poison... I can tell you that won't work... If you poison the hive you'll only make a bigger mess. This orb contains a map to the hive, I marked the location that I think the sword might be at, but if you deny my help, I could keep the treasure for myself... But I'm not going to that"

"Stay out of our plans!" Dox spat. "It's because of you that our original plan was ruined because you ran off! How can we trust somepony like you, huh?! I barely even trusted you anyways after you absorbed some of my love for Arrow!" He growled, obviously upset with Shade for ditching them. "If you really want us to trust you... then get your flank back here."

Shade was getting tired with dealing with dox... * no wonder why I like working alone *

 

"Just.... Fine... What ever... We'll do it your way" * for now*

 

Shade casted a spell on herself and she disappeared from the hive. The orb exploded and shade appeared where the orb was, she landed in the poison joke patch and walked out of it and turned into her pony forum.

 

"I'm here..." She said with annoyance in her tone.

Arrow's eyes widened at Shade. "Um...Shade...you just walked in the poison joke." She said, staring at the plant, then at shade...then back down at her hooves because she still couldn't get over the fact she was covered in bark.

 

(OOC: If the plant effects Arrow the Dryad I would expect it effects Changelings...)

"Sure!"  Not at all.  Chamois grinned.  "Why the heck not?"  Why would I be?  Chamois turned to the others and nodded at Nightfall in agreement.  "Yeah...we should probably be paying more attention as well..." she shrugged.  She watched Shade, one eyebrow raised, annoyed.

 

(OOC: Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure Shade will be affected in one of the next posts.  There has to be a reason to landing in the poison joke after all.)

Paradox raised his hoof as if he was going to strike Shade, but he decided against it, sighing and putting it back down. "You're lucky I don't beat the living crap outta you right now, you know? And I think that I'd have a good reason to, too. But I won't. Besides... I think you'll find that the plant you just walked through is punishment enough."

"Calm down, all of you! I'm sick of all of this fighting!" she exclaimed, stamping her front hooves. "First, you and Nightfall couldn't get along, and now you can't stop fighting with Shade! I know it's not just your fault Paradox, but we all need to just learn to get along and work together."

"She's right. That's what I kept trying to tell you. How the buck do you think yelling at her is going to help? Even if she is going to betray us, you're not going to change her mind by shouting, and if not, you're just going to make an enemy out of her."

Moonbeam nodded, smiling at Lost Knowledge before returning her gaze to the changeling and unicorn. "If you don't work together, we won't accomplish anything. Shade returned, and I think that's enough to give her the benefit of the doubt. Like I said before, she may be a bit abrasive, but I feel like she has a good heart. We need all the help we can get, anyway, and she can help us get into the hive."

 

(villan, if you're thinking of poison joke effects for Shade, I think something that would make her very conspicuous would be good. You could make her glow green or turn rainbow.)

Shade looks back at the poison joke patch, "punishment?" She walks up to the patch and rips one of the flowers from the ground and eats it.

 

"You mean this flower that's very poisonous to changeling? Il tell you something, this stuff. Sometimes I wish the effects lasted longer." She said.

Something had changed Chamois a little. It didn't seem like the thing that had changed himself, but she didn't seem like the more shy pony she was only a few moments ago. It was strange.

Dox glared at Shade, then sat and harumphed. "Fine. Tell us your plan, all-knowing halfling. Exactly where is the sword? Is it not in the queen's personal cambers, like I said?" He then watched her eat a poison joke. "Of course it wouldn't effect you as badly as them, you're only a halfling!"

"I don't know exactly where it is... But I have an idea, if it was in the queens chambers, i would have notesed." She said

 

"And it dosnt effect me like that... Poison joke is an interesting plant, it plays jokes on ponies, it poisons changeling, and... Um... Turns you into a tree." She said pointing at arrow. "But me... I'd love to keep the effects of poison joke on me... I could walk into the city as a free pony." She said.

Dox stared at her for a few seconds. Then he said, "What do you mean, a free pony? Why can't you walk in as the pony you normally are? What exactly does poison joke DO to you?" He was really rather confused about it, and felt a bit bad for her, but hoped it wasn't really showing.

"Yep.  Totally," Chamois said brightly, turning to the group.  They seemed to be the opposite of the positive she was painstakingly showing.  In fact, they acting similar to the negative she felt inside.  "So why don't we all get going then!" she interrupted loudly, as if she hadn't noticed them arguing.

Lost Knowledge thought for a moment. Finally he came up with what he thought was a reasonable hypothesis

 

"If I might hazard a guess... the poison joke turns you into a normal pony temporarily, doesn't it? It neutralizes your changeling side, is that it?"

"That's correct, this plant gets rid of my changeling side, but not for long, I mean, I don't have a hunger in my eyes. But yet, this is a joke... Because the plant knows that I will never be a normal pony."

 

Shade picks up the shards of the orb, "so what plan are you going with? The poison that will not work, or I change you to look like changeling."

Chamois seemed to be more assertive and ready to go than before to Nightfall. He felt as if their readiness to go had been swapped somehow. He blushed, making sure he had everything. Once he did, he found himself slowly getting closer to Chamois. He stopped, blushing.

Arrow nodded at Chamois. "Whatever the plan is...we need to get to the changeling hives so we should plan while we walk...and if anypony see's any flowers to cure poison joke that would be wonderful...it will ware off within the next day or so I would assume but...still." She said, looking at her forelegs.
