Lydia backs up, looking scared. "I'm sorry I said that, especially if I made you angry... I wouldn't call myself good... I'm so sorry Rocket... I didn't know that you were aware I was ex-pace. I was hoping that I could put that part of my past behind me. If you ever need a scientist, just ask."

Hank smiles "well. How bout we all go out to see a movie? Or i can take you all anywhere you want. Maybe we can visit earth?"

 

Colgate smiles "earth.. thats where the humans are from. I wouldnt mind seeing how earth is." She giggles

Golden Age had convinced Nightshade to take him in the Everfree, insearch of something called the "Mirror Pool". The main reason was pure boredom and curiosity. Locals said it was barricaded off to prevent further "accidents".

 

There was one problem however, when they finally did discover the hole, the large boulder that was said to be blocking the entrance was nowhere to be found. "Oh fer Celestia's sake lad!" Golden Age said, seeing Nightshade shake at the unknown. "Yer actin' like a sheep that seen a fox! Dinnae fret, what e'r moved it is lang gane now. If ye ain' gang, I'm gang!" he said, walking in.

 

He walked in to see a large pool, it had a reflection that was almost too clear to be real. He sat on the edge, staring in awe-that was until a growl interrupted him. Unknown to him until than, some creature had been hiding in the corner. It had a mask split in half, one side bearing a plus, the other bearing a minus. Its other features were of little differentiation. 

 

Before the Lieutenant could even react, it shot a red beam of magic at him.  Golden Age felt like he was going to be split in half. When he opened his eyes, he saw himself-or what rather was the opposite of himself. The imposter wore a frock coat made of Jean-Wool, his eyes were red. "I'll be back for you" he said menacingly, pushing the Lieutenant out of the way before running out of the cave. When Golden Age reached the top, he saw figure running deeper into the Everfree.

 

Nightshade, get yer arse back to camp! There's demons in these woods!" 

 

Nightshade and him ran back to camp as fast as they could.

Rocket backed up, "you worked for pace" he eyed her suspiciously. JT turned and saw how he was acting, he walked up to him and put a hand on his shoulder, "easy rocket. You have to forgive him Lydia, he's still pretty shooken up from the war, just give him some time." He said with a smile.

Lydia starts to move back toward the tardis. "It's alright JT... I can tell when I'm not wanted... I obviously made Rocket angry, and I can't read social cues for shit... I should have just kept my mouth shut. After everything I did he has every right to hate me. It was nice meeting you all... "

Lydia shrugs off his arm. "Alright... It's just been a long day, you know? One minute I'm looking for my brother, the next I'm being tackled and forced to disclose information that could doom the planet if it got out... I don't know how much being around you guys I can take, but a tour would be nice."

Hank sighs and nods as he looks at lydia and cezary and jt "okay.. cezary.. get a drop ship okay? We need it.. and jt get a jetpack. Your with me."

Cezary looks puzzled"Where do you expect me to find a drop ship on a timeframe like this? I'll do my best, but I can't make any promises... As for a jet pack... Check the tardis, I think I left an archangel suit in there."

Lydia frowns. "What is going on? Why do we need any of this stuff? I may be able to find a pace drop ship, but I need to know why first. And here I was hoping for a tour."

JT frowned, "well ill give you the tour later Lydia" JT grabbed a Jet pack and said, "Rocket ill see you in a while, stay safe ok buddy?"

 

Rocket gave colgate a hug and said. "its ok, ill hold down ponyvill, im loving it here! just stay safe!" He smiled and waved goodbye.

Lydia looks confused. "Wait... let me get this right... You want my brother to risk his life to move a crate that might be filled with explosives out of a castle that it would be safer to evacuate than try to excise a bomb from? Are you INSANE? You guys have EOD techs right? Why not make sure? And I will tell you now, there is no way in the nine hells that I will let you put my brother's life in danger for this. You said you have like 11 lives? Fly your own goddamn plane." She said with a venomous tone.

 

Cezary attempts to stay calm. "Do I have a say in this sis? I'll fly for you, but I want to know what I'll be flying first. And not just 'it may be a bomb'"

Hank looks at lydia "this is coming from the human who could have helped wipe out an entire race! I cant regenerate if im in a million of pieces. If you wont help. Than dont come!" He was in the tardis working on the scanner to see whats in the crate "yup.. its a bomb.. or should i say.. clusterbombs.." he sighs

Lydia's tone darkens, shocked at what hank just said. "You didn't have to say that. You just had to go and say that didnt you you little time hopping freak? You really want to know what those are? They're pace model-e anti-personnel flechette moarters. You would be safer picking up the pieces after the detonation than moving them. I thought we were friends, obviously I was wrong. JT, you should really watch out with the company you keep." She walks out of the tardis.

He sighs 'i cant believe i said that.. ill talk to her once this is done.." he closes the door and teleports to where drop ships are "okay cezary. Go get one and meet us at the canterlot castle."

 

Hank smiles "we will contact you once we are ready." The tardis vanishs and hank and jt appear near the crate of bombs

Cezary smiles as he starts to ease the drop ship into the air. "If its a C4 type compound you should be fine, if its a liquid it's likely RDX or a derivative of nitroglycerin, those are volatile, don't touch them. If it has any identifying marks, send them to EOD... I'm en-route, but it may be a while."

 

Lydia sits down where the tardis was. "God damn it! Why do I always screw friendships up?" She sees rocket and calls to him. "Hey, you're rocket right? I could really use a friend right now..."

Cezary frowns, trying to remember his training. "Solid explosives have plastic casings, metal would have too much of a risk of accidental detonation. Liquids usually have markings on them denoting them as volatile, but just to be safe you should wait for professionals."

Lydia frowns. "No. I'm not ok... The only person I have left in the world may die trying to protect someone who is already safe, half of my friends hate me, and there isn't shit I can do about it. I'm sorry I said what I said... No hard feelings..." She starts to cry.

Cezary frowns. "I think hank said it didn't have any liquid, so we're good to go. Just get it toward a balcony, I'll try to sky-hook it. What's the timer at right now?" He checks his flight plan, it says 2:16 till he will reach the location.

 

Lydia tightly returns rocket's hug. "Hank probably hates me now... Or at least he hated me enough to not allow me to forget my past. Thank you for making me feel better rocket, but I think something's wrong... Do you know where I can find a jeep? Preferably right now?"
