TwilightSparkle 224 October 19, 2011 Share October 19, 2011 Madame Foster pony? Yeah, I wondered about that. I couldn't get a very clear look, so I didn't post it, but I think you might be right. The eldest used her unicorn powers to raise the sun at dawn. The younger brought out the moon to begin the night.

Finesthour 7,287 October 19, 2011 Share October 19, 2011 Who is she? She is from a show called Fosters home for imaginary friends, an old show on cartoon network.
Vinyl Scratch 262 October 19, 2011 Share October 19, 2011 She is from a show called Fosters home for imaginary friends, an old show on cartoon network. More importantly, Lauren Faust was the animation director (among several other things) on that show. Her husband, Craig McCraken, created it as well as The Powerpuff Girls which she also worked on. If this is a ponified Madame Foster, it's a nod to her past. "YEAH! I'm the mayor of Jam City!" - Director Bullock (Patrick Stewart), American Dad! Senn555 242 October 19, 2011 Share October 19, 2011 (Also Why Didnt The Producers Change It For Season 2 Episode 1 And 2?) The two Discord episodes were produced and completed at the tail end of season one; the remastered theme had not been done by then.
Tom The Diamond 1,830 October 19, 2011 Author Share October 19, 2011 Yeah, I thought that was Madame Foster at first, but if you look closely... Its not. ;_; But it does raise the question... Why did they put old ponies in the theme song?
Vinyl Scratch 262 October 19, 2011 Share October 19, 2011 (edited) Yeah, I thought that was Madame Foster at first, but if you look closely... Its not. ;_; But it does raise the question... Why did they put old ponies in the theme song? I wouldn't think it was the character herself, because she's not a pony. I just thought she was a ponified version of Madame Foster. I'm curious to see how those old ponies will be used. Edited October 19, 2011 by Vinyl Scratch "YEAH! I'm the mayor of Jam City!" - Director Bullock (Patrick Stewart), American Dad! Kodiak 431 October 23, 2011 Share October 23, 2011 (edited) Even better than the first! The new version just seems to have more emotion and passion put into it with Twilight's voice sounding more rich and how the music sort of crescendo's before she lands in Ponyville. The only thing that caught me off guard was Rainbow's voice being a bit deeper. Still, the new theme song gets a 10/5 for me Edited October 23, 2011 by Kodiak Storytellers of Equestria (Audiobook Group): http://ponysquare.com/Audiobooks My audiobook series: http://tinyurl.com/cp7mt2g ~ Semper Fidelis. Emperor_Z 6 October 23, 2011 Share October 23, 2011 I'm kinda meh about it. The main vocals are better, but the added instrumental sounds are unnecessary. The replacement for the "Ahahah" kind of comes out very suddenly and seems to clash.
Lady Rarity Pony 4,892 October 31, 2011 Share October 31, 2011 Season 1 intro is permanently engraved in my mind. I don't like the new one as much but I do like it and I'm glad they made a new one for a new season. LRP's opinions are subject to change without notice. Fees and penalties still apply. Tyger 213 October 31, 2011 Share October 31, 2011 This. While i do love the animation revamp, the original intro's song has kinda been engraved into my mind after a good 28 episodes, so i'm having a bit of trouble adapting to the new version. However, I shall love and tolerate it regardless.
Pinkie Prectar 43 October 31, 2011 Share October 31, 2011 I voted "Eeyup" But I don't get why they had to change what they did. A tiny bit of singing and tunes, plus the train and Big Macintosh
