Delia buried her face in Draco's chest. "It was horrible, she showed me images of you all. You were dead because of me. She told me she would help me save you all if i gave her some of my life force for her magic. She tricked me...killed me." Delia wheeped. "I was certain i was neve gonna have the chance to see you all...to share a camp with....to love again."

Draco hummed a slight song. He began to sing softly into her ear a song in zebracan one of his families songs. "If I had words, to make a day for you, I'd sing you a morning, golden and true. I would make this day, last for all time, then fill the night, deep in moonshine." Draco ended the song with a deep kiss. "If I had words Milady I would make your day perfect,"

Flare went far away from the others. "Just like her...Chrysalis... I will kill you I won't let these ponies die in vain and you will never again trick any of us..." Flare said quietly as he signed and heard Apollo say about the summit and the crystal heart. "Not gonna be easy...especially since the changelings will probably stop us...but that won't happen"

Melody stood up seeing Delia moving again was a welcome sight. Tears streamed down her eyes, she ran over quickly to Draco and Delia. "Delia thank Celestia you're back. I thought that I'd....I....I'd never see you again." Melody bawled. Melody dug her face into Delia's side, giving her the biggest hug she could muster at this point. She was happy, the group was back together again, but most of all Melody had her friend back.

Delia continued sobbing but calmed down a little. "I'm never going to leave you all. After all, what kind of leader would i be?" 

 

After a long cry,Delia composed herself. She stood up feeling weak in the legs.

"We must go now...theres no time to waste. we must retrieve this artifact and return it." Delia said as she trotted on up the mountain.

"Where did the rest go?" She asked, stopping in her tracks.

Jolt still couldn't believe that their leader has come back from the realm of the dead. After everything else that had happened though, he just accepted the unexplainable. Jolt took a step forward towards Delia.

 

"Welcome back Miss Delia. It sure was a hard time without you. But you're back now. You took a few hundred for the team and at the final hour refused to stay down." Jolt began to cry softly. "And that makes you more of a leader than I could have asked for. It's not our problems that make us poor but how we deal with and overcome the challenges. But right now we've got something to do. Let's kick some Changeling ass."

 

Jolt took a step back this time and let the others continue speaking.

Meanwhile at an unknown location:

Queen Chrysalis cackled at the recent events. "oh how wonderful! I am at full power. Soon the Crystal Empire,as well as Canterlot, will be ours!" She laughed as King Sombra looked at her with a smirk on his face.

 

Elsewhere at the Royal Barracks in Canterlot:

Apollo's horn gleamed as he continued casting the spell.C'mon guys hang in there. your almost done with this ordeal.

"Flare I could teach you the trick to making your wings as sharp as a sword," Draco said with a blush on his cheeks. "But teach no pony else this alright," Draco said as he looked at his friend "This is an O'Mally technique alright," Draco said as he pointed to the collapsed houses.

"Thanks Draco but I think I won't need it...I got a few tricks of my own...and I now remember that I left my amulet at home which means I can't use the tricks so maybe I should learn it...thanks for the offer Draco" Flare said as he looked at the sky. "I don't care if its bad to get revenge but these ponies here deserve it for what happened to them" Flare said

"We mustn't destroy the homes of the dead, Draco. It seems a little disrespectful" Delia said as she walked further up the hill.

She could see a bright light on the end of the hill. She squinted her eyes to see if she could make out what was giving off the shine.

"Are you alright Delia?" Draco asked as he looked to her. "Anyhow Flare to sharpen your wings. Feel the flow through your body feel the magic within your very body. Concentrate on the flow to your wings. Picture your wings as sharp as blade," Draco explained as he walked over to a large boulder. "See this boulder?"

"Okay so just focus on making my wings as sharp as a blade and let the magic flow through me also" Flare said as he started to focus. "Come on Flare its simple just focus and let the magic flow" Flare thought to himself as he kept focusing on doing the skill.

"Well if you don't get it on the first try don't worry I have a theory that mares have finer control over their magic while we stallions have far more control over the direction of the more destructive storms. for instance a hurricane," Draco said as he looked at Flare smiling.

"Destructive" Flare said as he shot out thick sharp feathers at the boulder on accident. "I...dint not mean to do that at all" Flare said surprised he did the wrong move/skill/artes/magic. "Okay I guess I should try that again" Flare said as he started to focus again.

"How large are your wing span?" Draco asked as he looked at Flare's wings calculating. Draco flared his large wings as he looked at his own wings. He began to think slightly as he looked to the sky. "Hmm what is it wait that's it. Flare I ask you again what is your wing span?"

"Uh my wing span...its 9.5....why do you ask" Flare said wondering why Draco would ask him that. "Does it have to deal with my wing span" Flare asked as he opened his wings and measured them. "Yeah 9.6 to be exact" Flare said as he closed his wings. "I aske again why do you need to know my wing span"

"I have a wing span of 13 ft. So think of your wings as daggers compared to my wings which are long swords. So maybe the reason your able to send sharpened feathers instead of your whole wing. So that's my theory plus it's good that your able to do that we need to have a distance fighter,"

"I'm a ranged fighter...great" Flare said as he looked at the boulder. "So I can shoot like...this" Flare said as he shot more feathers at the boulder. "Cool I guess I wont be as useless as I was before" Flare said as he closed his wings. "Anyways do you see something Delia" Flare said as he noticed Delia looking at something in the distance.

Melody wiped her tears away and went over to see Flare. Melody then saw some of Flare's feathers sticking out of the rock and let out a giggle. Melody nuzzled up against Flare "You weren't useless Flare. Things just happened to fast for anypony to stop them. But now we know what we're up against and we'll be ready this time." Melody was proud of Flare the way he'd defended her and the others and this new technique of his just made all the more cute in her eyes.

"I guess your right...but these ponies deserve better...and I'm not gonna leave them like this" Flare said as he went into one of the houses and carved out R.I.P victims of Changelings on each of the houses with his wings. "There now if people pass by they might stop and pray for the ponies that died here" Flare said

Melody walked up to Flare and nuzzled against him gently. "Flare that was very sweet of you. I'm sure that anypony that happens to pass through will gladly pay their respects." Melody placed her forehead onto his looking deeply into his eyes. Melody wanted to comfort him so much at that moment. Melody didn't even care that she was crying with his selflessness. Melody kissed Flare lightly on the nose "You're so kind Flare and I love you cause you listen to your heart. Come on let's join up with the others." Melody closed her eyes pressing a little more against Flare. Her ears laid back letting the moment linger just a little longer before heading to rejoin Delia.

 

(Sorry everyone for not posting in so long been busy and got into a few other RP's but I'm still focused into this one as well.)

"Thank you Melody....thank you"Flare said as his ears perked up as he heard something and opened his wings. "You hear that...." Flares wings sharpen to a sharp point. "Mel..." Flare wrapped his unsharpened wing around her. "There's more of them coming" Flare said as he looked around.

Jolt removed his wing from around Pia. "Stay close, I can hear something. Be on your guard."  Jolt said quietly whilst looking around. "I'm not that great in a fight."  Jolt told the group. "Words are more of my weapon. I'd prefer to stop it happening than deal with the consequences."
