Cool. I know it's irritating to just throw out a character and rework them. Or it is for me, at least. XD  I put a huge amount of time into making characters, and I will admit that I get emotionally invested in them. Are you gonna be using that new one for the RP instead?

It depends if i want to use one more like me or what I like to play in games. It's really a coin toss but if you want to read them and see which one you want. I really don't mind using either one of them.

Kismet showed up to the fair like any pony would do out of interest. (unless you have another idea.)

 

I was wondering if it would be okay if Kismet is attending the fair as to help with decorations? It may be a good idea if she had a sense that this particular fair would not be as "normal" as previous ones, so she compulsively decides to join the comity, but eventually becomes bored and doubts her talent.

 

Let me know if this sounds good. Please feel free to tweak it, I am open to suggestions!

whoa! again, I'm surprised to have gotten more replies since I last checked. Usually my forum threads have a habit of dying before their time.

 

Love Potion, your OC looks awesome. I feel like she and Gale will either get along really well or get on each other's nerves. XD

 

Symphonia, your character's backstory is, well... already a story in itself. Which can be a bad thing. It makes it hard to answer the question of "why is she here, if she has such great importance somewhere else?" Also as I know from my own experience, having a complex backstory makes it difficult to not turn the RP into another story centered around yourself, or be that one person who wields an invincible character (which you have to admit... She very nearly is.) Other than that, she looks good to me. 

 

Anyway, to finish my story setup...

Pixel Mouse and Kismet will likely have also just  attended the party for the fun of it, unless you can think of something else. Azure will possibly have opened a small concessions stand nearby Pinoak's to sell bread or pastries or something. Now to add the excitement that might be necessary for an RP such as this, let's throw in a threat of unknown origin that has been made against this particular gathering for an unknown reason. This threat has been largely kept as a secret to avoid mass panic, and the only ones who know of the danger are Judith, (who has been called on to protect Ponyville should the threat turn true,) and Standoff, who has been made aware of the threat through his old connections from the military.

 

and with that, we have a basic layout, 8 ponies to play, and a few experienced people to guide us as we stumble through this. 

 

To answer LeJAK, anyone is free to give advice, that's the point. I admit I'm not a perfect RPer, that's why I made this. XD

 

I'll close registration now. If someone wants to join, you might have to wait until another feels it is time to drop out. Anyone who has told me the OC they want to use at this point is in.

I think that her being a undercover guard was a good idea, and again her back-story will have nothing to do with this rp..

Well... no! It is a bit rude to promote your own roleplay within an existing rp. Also i am not interested in military roleplay with modern weapons. And for my finishing sentence, i am not a boy, i am a girl.

Since we will (hopefully!) be getting started on Wednesday, is there a particular time in mind? I know it will be hard to start it up when everypony is available at the same time, but I think starting together (or at least close) would give everypony a chance to see where the RP is going before we get too far into it.

okay, a few pieces of bad news, one that I don't think I am responsible for, and one that I take full responsibility for.

 

One: I just went through and reformatted the entire first post, and it splattered html code all over the place. Again. so I'll try to figure out how to make it easier to read, and edit it sometime.

 

Two: Spring break for my school system is next week, and my family and friends have planned a vacation to Colorado spanning the entire time. Somehow I had forgotten all about the trip to my favorite ski mountain ever. I don't know how much of this time I will be able to get on forums, and I don't really want to delay the RP any longer, but... I don't want to get it started and then disappear right after. It's your call though, and I'll play along with what you ponies think I should do.

I'll start coming up with ideas for Kismet's character, so I can be ready for Wednesday. Will we be trying to keep our characters separate or do we want to come in contact with each other (without Gale)? I personally think it would be a better idea to try and stay on our own until everypony can participate but that's just me....

we should probably stay separate for the most part, except if it would make sense that you would meet. Like... Azure meets Pinoak while they get set up for the fair. Or perhaps Kismet meets Iron Wing during the construction/decoration. 

 

I guess what I mean to say is... Don't try to keep yourselves separate, because that gets boring. but don't try to mash everyone together just yet, either.

Cool! Sorry for being afk in the this thread and not posting. Based on my brief skim through of the posts, I take it that Pixel Mouse will be arriving to the fairgrounds just for fun. My only question is, because the celebration hasn't started yet, should I start posting or wait till one day in the RP passes so ill kinda sorta have a reason for being there?
