For instance if you have a spell that kills but you only use it to help the dying of a painful disease does it mean it's still dark magic," Draco said as he smiled mischievously at Delia. As they walked towards the mansion he still held his wing on Delia's back.

As Dimitri walked along the others he pulled the letter back out from his pocket and read it for a third time. He gave a small chuckle. "Is funny how the Princess would choose me. I barely know her. I have only seen her once since I've been in country. I am surprised she knows of me."

 

Dimitri tried to initaite some small talk. He knew that if he was alone with his thoughts he'd get worried.

His ear perked up "Dimitri you show great kindness in helping. A lot of ponies would just taken the money and not come to the fountain. You my friend despite your past have come along way. Oh we're here," Draco said as he looked at his large home. "I have to have Dimitri here help me with it. Took us three months last year to finish it. Plus I might have mentioned you if she needed some help,"

"I suppose we're in the same boat then," Acheron told Dimitri after overhearing his comment. "Sophisticated and learned in magic as I am, I'm not exactly popular because of it believe it or not."

Acheron then heard Draco's remark.

"Quite," he said in response. "And Phlegython is the river of blood, made for the violent, Styx the river of hate, Lethe the river of forgetfulness, and Cocytus, the frozen river of traitors."

Delia looked quizzically at Draco. "I wonder what is going through your head.Though, I'm not sure i want to know."She said as she followed Draco to his manor. "So are you going to invite us in?" She said as she chuckled slightly. Her knapsack had been comically sagging on the side of her for a good amount of her venture to his Manor.

"Would've been an extra seven months if I wasn't here to help you." Dimitri laughed and winked at Draco.

 

 

He turned his attention to Acheron. "I had the most formal training in my homeland believe it or not. Being here makes me seem like a moron though. I can barely pronounce the language, and I'm sure my strange appearance doesn't help me. As a young one I remember carrying ingots to my father's forge and then going to get my education from the leader of the country. Was not much popular with the citizens in my homeland though. Being a unicorn and all..."

 

Dimitri stopped his story. He was ranting again and knew this wasn't the best time for his stories.

Draco nodded "Besides your smoking hot flank Delia? Nothing," Draco said jokingly as he opened the door to his large home but it  felt lonely to the group. "Yeah welcome to my home make your selves at home. Beverages are in the fridge. Of course Miss diamond is a pretty lass too," He said as he guided them into his home. the interior was decorated with various gifts of various customers he dealt with. From the griffins he received a gauntlet  which was made for a commander. He nodded when Dimitri winked at him and laughed merrily. "If you want a fire going in the living room just tell me,"

"So you learned from the best? Not many get an oppurtunity such as that. I on the other hand, taught myself much of what I know, though my knowledge and skill is not to be underestimated."

Acheron took a few moments trying to figure out the origins of Dimitri's accent.

"Hm... well your accent isn't that bad, I've heard worse," he said with a shrug. "I can't quite place your accent though, but I do have a general idea of your location..."

Acheron entered the mansion. It was quite spacious, and Acheron was impressed with its layout. He took a seat on a comfortable looking leather couch and reclined, waiting for the others.

Dimitri walked into the large manor. "I come from Sovestria. Not commonly known to many. I heard that only the extremely well-educated know of it and only a little bit at that. Used to be my home. Can not even describe how horrible it is now."

 

Dimitri looked around at the decor. "Funny thing is that I've never seen the ground without snow covering it. Was really surprised to see green ground when I first came here. Hard to get used to the warm temperatures."

 

He eyed the gauntlet...

"Sovestria hm? If I'm not mistaken, the home of the socialist and communist movement, correct? Birthed by a revolution by angry commoners whose leader cared more about pleasing himself than properly taking care of his subjects..."

Acheron took a sip of coffee which he had ordered from a servant.

"I can see why they deposed him, the Czar. Their mindset was not a bad one, but the leaders who enacted it did not do it successfully..."

Draco looked to his friend eyeing the gauntlet and smiled "Griffin made. It's composure of mithril steel and obsidian the blades on the side are obsidian iron. Trust me on this it's hard to find mithril steel Dimitri," Draco said as he looked at the diamonds on the gauntlet "The diamonds represent well I don't want to ssay it,"

"Not bad on your history there. The Tsar was removed from power about four hundred years ago by now. Country was first formed by bigotry. Unicorns were considered evil and immoral. Communism took over and it was good. Unicorns gained some rights, but the citizens still hated them. Several years before I was born the first Unicorn Chairman took charge. Really helped the country. Gave unicorns all the rights of the average pony. He was my mentor, Lenoy Trotmir."

 

Dimitri felt the Mithril. "I'm a special case. A unicorn born from a non-unicorn bloodline. No one in my family is what I am." He sighed.

"Like I said, I'm self taught. I get knowledge of many things most people wouldn't know about. Your case is interesting though, but no worries. Unicorns were feared beacuse of their abilities. Most fear what they do not understand, what they deem unsafe and unnatural."

Acheron studied the gauntlet as well. It was an interesting piece, griffon made apparently. He had known of their smithing for a while, but to see one of their works was a treat.

"So, are we going to get started soon or what?"

"I agree. My patience is growing thin with our waiting. Every moment Fluttershy isn't in my view is a moment where I get more and more worried. I like to be calm like the next pony, but I'd like to find out who I can hurt for taking my friends and my wife."

 

Dimitri's calm disposition was starting to fade yet again. He took another nip from his flask.

Draco sighed "Yes let us go to my library," Draco said as he walked quickly and at a brisk pace. "Where is it where is the darn book," Draco muttered as he fluttered about tossing aside tomes both of dark magic and light magic. "No, No, No , DAMNIT," Draco yelled out in frustration as he looked through his library. He hovered in the air thinking. "I need something anything that symbol is a clue damn it," Draco said as he once more fluttered about

Acheron followed Draco into his library. As soon as the tomes of magic and history started flying, he immediately caught them in his mysterious green aura of magic.

"I suppose I'll ask for these later," murmured the unicorn. He saw Draco's frustration.

"What exactly are you searching for ?"

Dimitri slowly entered the library and immediately cringed as some of the books hit the floor. Being the literature lover that he is, he didn't enjoy the sound of the books smacking against the floor.

 

"Is maybe hidden? Have any places where you'd put something valuable?" He asked Draco as he started to pick some books off the floor.

Delia walked inside Dracos manor. She disregarded Draco's remark on her hind quarters and walked into the living room. She listened in as the Bearded Pony and Draco exchanged words. Delia decided that she will wait until the ponies attention was free until she would properly introduce herself. Until then she meditated.

Acheron didn't appreciate the mess Draco was making, especially with tomes of seemingly interesting content. Eyeing the pegasus' bag, he levitated it and pulled out the letter. It was no doubt meant for his eyes only, but as the old saying goes, "Time is money."

He took notice of the strange symbol and then put the letter away in its bag.

"Perhaps Dimitri is right," he said as he scanned cabinets and shelves for any signs of secret places. "Where do you keep objects of importance?"

Draco went into his thinking pose as he tried to remember. "Wait THAT'S IT!" Draco exclaimed. He flew down to Delia and jokingly kissed her. "Loveless, THAT'S IT," Draco said with excitement. he flew right to the top of his library to his most treasured tomes. He pulled out a white book with the letters on it glimmering with diamo book entitled Loveless. He had found the symbol on the cover. He gently place it onto the table "This boys is Loveless my families' history. This is the first and last edition of it. Oh there have been copies but they aren't the true Loveless. Kind of fitting for me I'm without love," Draco said. When he saw the magic and he glared at Acheron with a foulest look "Never go through my things with out my permission got it Acheron,"

The melancholy feeling from Draco's statement harmed Dimitri's mood, but ignoring that he placed most of the books back on their shelves and walked back to see what was going on with the tome.

 

"Such a fancy book. Now, how will this help us at all?" He asked pensively...

"Then try and be more composed next time, instead of throwing things like mad while shouting curses. That there, gets you no where," Acheron said, his composure relatively unchanged despite Draco's menacing glare. "Either way, let's try and handle this better, and get down to business. What's the significance of this book?"

Acheron did feel rather bad for going through Draco's things. He definitely wouldn't like it if some pony he had just met went through his things, but he felt it was necessary in order to speed things up.

Delia jumped up in shock from Draco's kiss. "You scared me you little-"She stopped herself as she saw the others out of the corner of her eye. She then calmed herself as she processed what was going on. "So you are suggesting that a cult might be behind this?" Delia asked Draco.

"The Seneschal definitely sounds like a cult. What do you ponies think?" Draco asked as he looked up from his book. He walked out as he prepared himself a cup of coffee. This was going to be a long night. "Look I'm as mad as anyone they were my friends. When my friends in danger well let's just say those who hurt then will have their testicles or uterus shoved down their damn throat. Then I do a damn tango on their  corpse," Draco said with a cold tone his eyes were cold as he began to get back to work. The next clue he had to stay up all night if he had to.
