Max, looking through a closet before heading out, saw that he had several empty flasks here. Must be for the booze in the fridge. He glanced over at the case, and knew that he needed a better was to transport these potions. He began pouring each potion into a flask, so that they can be carried around easier and are not at risk for breaking in a glass bottle. After filling the last one, he looked into the closet to see 10 flasks sitting on the shelf. He frowned at the sight.

"Wait....which one is which again? These flasks all look the same." He facehoofed, an annoyed look on his face.

"Lets hope that doesn't come and bite me in the ass." He thought to himself before catching up to Star, who was entering a room that had some strange sounds in coming from within.

"What's up? What's in th-" What he saw brought back memories of his own incident.

Beat patted Accent on the back before looking up at Star and Max as the two of them entered. "Thank Celestia you two are here...Could one of you go find Lorcan...or maybe some Bandages. Accent slipped and broke her leg, I reset it but we need something to support it." He said.

 

Star nodded. "I may have something in my bag. Be back in a minute." She said, running off down the hall to her room.
She searched around in her bag and eventually found some bandages...she walked out of her room and was about to continue on the walk back down the hall until she noticed some of the alcohol from last night sitting in Max's room. *Funny...I thought we finished that. Maybe Accent would like some for the pain. Just like daddy always told me.* She thought, grabbing the bottle of coconut rum. She took a small sip as she walked out of Max's room and gagged...it tasted disgusting. She dropped the bandages onto the ground...and the bottle, spilling the yellow liquid all over the floor. She gagged again, feeling as if she was about to throw up until...she fainted, falling right behind Max's bed.

((Yes...going for the behind the bed thing. Also...can we do a minor time skip ?))

10 MINUTES LATER

 

Max looked at the door to Beats room and out into the hall.

"What is taking her so long. Bandages aren't that hard to find." He turned to Beat Drop.

"Excuse me, I need to see what is keeping Star." He said with an apologetic look before turning an heading back to his room. When he got there, he saw that the room was empty.

"Star? Star you in here?" No response.

"Damnit, where did she go." He mumbled to himself. He wasn't angry, but he was confused as to where she could of gone. He looked around for the bandages, thinking he could get Accent help before...

"The potions! I can get her a healing one." Max proclaimed. He went over to the flasks, looking for the right one. He counted them, trying to guess his odds.

"8, 9...9?" He counted again. And again the result was 9.

"That cant be it. There were 10 of them. Where did..." Max paled at the thought that just crossed his mind. He looked around frantically, and saw a stream of yellow liquid running from under his bed.

"No. Nonononono..." He couldn't reach the source, which looked like it was coming from behind the bed. He was too big to fit. He began to pull the bed back to reach.

"Please no, please Celestia don't let it be so." He frantically mumbled to himself. He finally moved it far enough to get back there, only to find a passed out Star, laying next to bandages and a leaking flask that once held coconut rum. Physically, Star was mostly unaltered, except she no longer had fur. She was covered in light blue scales with dark stripes coming down around her.  Her wings were leathery and lacked feathers. He knelt down beside her, gut wrenched at the sight.

"Sweet Celestia Star...this is my fault." He said numbly. He quickly recovered and began trying to wake his now scaled covered marefriend.

"Come on Star, wake up." He said, shaking her lightly.

"Thank Celestia she didn't drink the whole thing. She would have turned into a full sized dragon, and would of likely crushed us."

Beat nodded as Max walked off down the hall. "I'll see if maybe I can find something here." He said, walking over to his suitcase.
 

((I'm picturing her like a pony sized dragon...am I right to think that or no ?))

Star groaned and slowly opened her eyes...which now looked more like cats eyes. "Ugghhh....what happened ?" She asked, reaching up to rub her forehead...but her hoof was gone, in its place was a...claw ?

Her eyes widened and she stared. "M-M-M-Max..." She said, her lip quivering as she bent her knew talons. "Why d-do I...AAAAAAAAAAH." She screamed as she scrambled backwards into Max's bedside table, knocking off a lamp as she did so.

She stared at her back legs which were now covered in scales, slowly morphing into claw's as well.

She let out another scream as she noticed a new tail...one with a point at the end. "COCONUT RUM SHOULDN'T DO THIS." She yelled, a few tears escaping her catlike eyes.

Max was amazed, and slightly horrified at what he saw. Star started out as a pony with scales, but she quickly began morphing into a dragon. Physically she was turning into a teenage dragon, though that's considered full adulthood in Equstria, given their long lives. She woke up, and Max looked into her eyes. They were the same turquoise color, but the pupils were slits now, and looked sharper. Her hind legs were reshaping into a different form, hooves replaced by feet. Even her spine looked like it was reshaping. By the end of it, she was now a bipedal dragon, complete with soft spikes running down her back, down to her solid tail. She had hands, claws at each fingertip, her mane color and pattern transferred over, and her scales looked very shiny. Her wings were slightly smaller, and looked very leathery. True to dragon physiology, she looked different from male dragons in this state, as her spikes were rounded and soft, her wings being smaller than normal, and her body had noticeable curves in it. Max went over, using his wings to bring her into a tight embrace.

"Its, OK, calm down. I'm here. I filled up those flasks with potions so they can be carried easier. I'm so sorry this happened to you, this is all my fault." He whispered. Max slowly brought them up, not releasing the hug, until he was up, and she was standing on two legs. Being bipedal, she now stood at eye level with Max.

Star stared down at her new form then up at Max...then back at her body. "Bu-...the...potions." She felt her legs slowly giving away as she leaned back against the nearby wall, eyes wide, staring passed Max. At the small mirror next to the bathroom.

Her lip quivered and she looked down at the ground, putting her head in her claw's. "Please tell me you can fix this." She said, in her quietest voice.

Max looked guiltier than he has ever looked. He walked over to his bags, grabbing a journal that contained all his notes, and began to flip through it. He finally found the page that contained the dragon potion notes.

"Here it is." He said shakily, shame dripping from his voice.

"It looks like you only sipped it. Which is good. You would of become a full sized dragon if you drank the whole thing. It looks like..." His eyes dropped heavily.

"There is nothing I can do about this. You will have to wait for the effects to were off. That should be in...36 hours. Give or take." He looked at Star, guilt beaming from him.

"For what its worth, even as a dragon, you are still beautiful." He said weakly.

Star groaned again and fell back onto Max's bed. "I'm gonna have to sleep like this. why am I such an idiot ? I knew we finished that rum last night, and I still drank from the bottle. This whole trip has just been one big pile of dreadful things...you being sick and getting all cut up, Accent breaking her leg...and now this. What's next ? Lorcan is going to hang himself or something...buck." She let out an exasperated sigh and a small puff of light blue fire shot out from her nose.

Max looked over at the flasks. He looking inside each one, until he found another yellow one. He grabbed it, and lied down with Star, putting a foreleg around her.

"It hasn't been all bad. I flew, sang, explored, made friends, and found the pony-who is temporarily a dragon-that I want to spend the rest of my life with. So that more than makes up for near death, sickness, leg snappings, and transformation. Not to mention the sex." He said with a chuckle. He looked over at her.

"Chin up. In two days time you will be back to your old self. Though I was the idiot that put those potions in unmarked flasks. Seems like I got off too easy." He sat up, and unscrewed the flask.

"So if your going to suffer as a dragon, then I will suffer right along side you." He sipped the potion, being quick to screw it back to ensure that he didn't spill it. His stomach growled loudly, and Max began to feel...funny. Before he slipped into unconsciousness, he choked out.

"I will be back in about 10 minutes. See you soon love." He pecked her cheek, rough as it was, before passing out.

 

(Why? Because the way I have developed Max, this seems like a believable thing he would do. He would want to make up for his mistake the only way he knows how.)

Star was about to push the bottle away from Max but it was too late. She facehoofed...er...face palmed. "Max...ugh." She sighed...but couldn't help but smile, showing off her newly pointed teeth. Now that she was going to be with Max...it was gonna be different...maybe even kinda fun. But still, he didn't have to do that.


Aboot ten minutes later.


Star was laying on her back, staring up at the ceiling...it had been a few minutes already and over the course of these few minutes, Max had grown scales...and claws...and his wings had also changed around to look more like leather.
She gently poked him with a claw. "Max ? Are...are you alright ?" She asked, staring at her own claw...she still couldn't get over it...it was just too weird.

Max awoke to Star poking him with a claw.

"Ugghhh. I feel odd." He put a claw to his head...claw. He looked down, and the bulk of the transformation as beginning.

"Ohh Celestia..." He grumbled, standing up. He tripped, and was unable to get up. He grew in length, Now standing taller than Princess Celestia. His hind legs morphed, forming regular legs and feet (for a dragon anyway) and his hands grew sharp claws. His teeth grew sharp, and Max's muzzle sucked in, appearing much smaller, almost like he had none. His mane was gone, and light green spikes took there place, running down his back. They were considerable more jagged than Stars. His tail formed out, and it was longer than the length of a small pony. His scales were duller, and were a dark olive color. He looked sturdier built than his mare...dragoness friend. He finally stood, his head just coming short of the ceiling. Good thing the ceiling is so high. He looked muscular, strange given is thin nature as a pony. He looked in a mirror, and was amazed. It turns out his cutie mark is now on his back, a large shield with a red cross tattooed on his back, taking up a good amount of space. Max looked like a fierce predator.

His eyes were a pale blue, slit pupils and all.

"Woah, that was interesting...My voice." His voice was several octaves lower now. He was blown back.

"Maybe I took a bigger sip? I don't know. Bur now you aren't alone in this Star." He said turning back to her. He felt weird being bipedal, but he would get used to it.

Star stood up as well...Now they were about the same height...well, Max was taller but he was also quite a bit taller as a pony. She put her arms on her waist and gave him a disapproving look. "You could have at least waited for me to answer before drinking that. Now what are we supposed to tell everypony else ? I'm flattered but lets just say at the end of the transformation we get really sick or something. You gotta think more before you act mister." She said, glancing at the door which was wide open.
Her eyes widened and she quickly ran over to close it, her feet making strange tapping sounds as they hit the floor.

Max chuckled lightly at the concern, but he did understand it.

"According to my notes, the only side effect we will carry into our pony forms is that we will come out hairless. Fur and everything. But that should grow back quicker than normal. Maybe about 6 hours after we will be back to normal completely if I had to guess." He went over to the balcony, and was intrigued by the different feeling the on had on him. Mostly due to the scales. He opened his wings, and they were considerable bigger. He flapped and was up in the air. This way of flying felt different. He was upright by default, mostly because of his bipedal nature.

"Feel like giving the new wings a test run? Without alarming the others?" At that moment, two thing popped into Max's draconic head.

"Two things: One, we need to get that alicorn sized bed from the falls back here, as this bed is...too small now. Secondly, being a dragon is going to make your apology to Beat WAAAAAAAY more awkward." He said, laughing at the idea of Beat staring down a dragon standing twice his size. No wonder Max was able to intimidate him so easily before. Height meant something. But Max now had brawn and pointy appendages to accommodate it.

Star couldn't help but giggle at the thought of Beat's reaction...it was going to be funny. She walked out onto the balcony and hesitantly opened her wings.
She also felt it...it felt different, having scales, wings and claws...it was interesting but Star would prefer to be a pony. She slowly flew into the air next to Max. "This is quite different. And where did you say you saw an alicorn sized bed ?" She asked, scratching her arm which was slightly shiny in the hot sun. She glanced up at the sun then looked back at Max. "So does this mean we are immune to fire now ?" She asked.

"It is in that hidden room behind the waterfall...the good one, not the murderous one.

And I don't know. Let me check." Max wasn't sure if this would work, but he had heard stories of how this dragon technique worked. He breathed in, focused on making fire, and breathed out, and a stream of green fire came pouring out of his mouth, onto his arm. Max finished, and saw his arm unharmed.

"I can confirm that male dragons are fireproof. What about female?" He flew over to Star, and noticed that he set the balcony on fire. Flustered, he went and stamped out the flames, his larger sixe allowing him to run faster than normal. The balcony was scorched, but intact. He suddenly realized something.

"Oh Sweet Celestia did I just bathe you in flames?" He asked nervously. She looked fine, but he had to be sure.

Star squeaked and covered her face as Max sent fire at his arm...also at her.
She only lowered her arms when he spoke from the balcony. She nodded. "Yea kinda...but i'm okay." She said, examining her arm's...she still couldn't get over this. "Lets go to the cave then. What are we going to tell Lorcan ? I broke a lamp...scratched up the floor...and now a balcony is all scorched."

Max pondered this for a moment, and came to a conclusion.

"We tell him the truth. Not like we can lie in our current form." He said with a chuckle.

"Come on, moving that bed from the middle of the island to hear is going to be a challenge." And with that he took off, but not too fast. He wanted to stick with Star after all. He found himself humming the same song he sang the last time he flew over the island. It was a tune that carried with him in high altitude flying.

Star nodded and followed behind him, twiddling her thumbs as they went. "So...why did you have a dragon potion with you anyway ? It seems like a strange item to be carrying on a vacation." She said, glancing back at her new tail, flicking it back at forth. "If you get passed the fact that...well, we're dragons...this is a kinda cool experience...not many ponies get to say they have been a dragon." She said, chuckling, as she looked forward again.

Max rubbed his chin in thought.

"Feels different now that I have fingers."

"I suppose I brought along my healing potions, and the case contained a few...experiments, if you will. Probably should of checked that before leaving." He said sheepishly. He looked down at his hands, gripping as to observe their behavior.

"You are right, this is a fascinating experience. I may have to do this again sometime. In a more controlled environment, of course." He pointed down. 

"Here we are." He dove down going into a free fall, before expanding his wings and landing, tumbling for a good 3 feet, as he was not use to landing on 2 legs.

"Ow..." He said, rubbing the back of his head as best he could when spikes obstructed it.

Star did her best to land next to Max but ended up crashing into the ground next to him. She slowly stood up and stared down at the ground...there was a small crater where she had landed.
Her scaly cheeks turned a slight pink as she stepped out of the crater.

"Max stepped out of his own crater, standing back to get a better look. Say what you will about dragons, but they were built to last. He flew over to the edge of the much steeper waterfall out of curiosity, and saw on the jungle floor below a LOT of dried blood. Max shutters at the memory, before returning to the regular waterfall. He flies through and opens the door into the suite. Looking around, he sees a switch.

"Why not?" Flipping it, the waterfall outside suddenly stops flowing, revealing the door to Star. The door is quite larger than Max initially thought, but he was glad, as getting the bed out of here would be much easier. He lied down on it to test, and sure enough, it was a perfect size.

"Star! You got to try this bed. Its even better than the first!" He called out, relaxing for a moment before moving it.

Star slowly flew through the door, landing next to the bed. "Its like Lorcan new he would have Dragons at the house or something." She giggled and sent out a couple puffs of bright blue fire as she did so. "We should be careful about that...I don't want to be blamed for setting something on fire." She said, climbing onto the bed next to Max.

Max was laying on his back, and luckily his spikes were not piecing the bed. Either the bed was very sturdy, or Max's spikes were not sharp enough to pierce a bed. He turned to face Star, looking into her now very draconic eyes.

"I didn't think beds could get more comfy, but once again I am proven wrong on what and what isn't possible. Seems like that happens a lot lately." He still found it odd hearing himself with such a deep gravelly voice. It was so foreign to him, but he thought it was cool. It added to the dragon effect.

Star giggled. "This is such a strange sight...its not often you see a dragon laying on a bed next to you." She said, moving a little closer to Max so they were touching. Their scales made a small clink as they touched, but Star ignored that as she placed her arm's around him, bringing him in for a hug.

Max returned the hug, that warm feeling creeping up again.

'Even as a dragon with armor like scales, she is still warm and soft to hug." He thought to himself. His curiosity began to surface, as he began to wonder the softness of a dragons face. More specifically their lips. Max pulled back enough to kiss Star on the lips, and that answered his question.

"At least that part hasn't been changed. That would of sucked." He thought as he continued kissing.
