gaming A Link To The Past sequel

So, as the topic title indicates, A Link To The Past is getting a sequel! So we're getting a Wind Waker remake AND A Link To The Past sequel. Pretty radical. The best kind of radical, in fact.

That being said, I'm still highly looking forward to Pikmin 3 and Elder Scrolls: Online.

Oh look, even more reason for me to get a 3DS...

Even though A Link to the Past is super hard, and not exactly my favorite Zelda game, I did spend a lot of time on it, and all of that time was worthwhile.

From someone who just love the franchise to no end... this is the best news from this year so far. I've been waiting for another original LoZ to be revealed for so long, since Skyward Sword in fact. It's great to have more information of the future of the franchise. Maybe some hints to which direction they might be heading with the series. smile.png

As for a sequel to LttP.... i'm very glad that they decided to go back to the top-down view Zelda instead of following the same path as the home console. In a 3D world environment, the Wii U beats the 3DS in every aspect and arguably has more functionality, and can definitely produce a much richer 3D world than the 3DS.

The art style and gameplay they've chosen just fits more on a handheld as opposed to a home console experience. Which is great that they take the opportunity to revive the era of Top-Down 2D Zelda when there's so much left to innovate with it.

There's no reason for them to compete with the home console LoZ.

If you haven't played Legend Of Zelda: Link to the Past.... I suggest you do so...

I have a great feeling that this title will challenge the prequel. It's such a fantastic game. I couldn't tell you how many hours I put into it myself trying to solve the puzzles when I was 4 or 5 starting to play it. Within the trailer you can notice that these 3D puzzles will be surely interesting, as the other element where you can become a painting. And work through different puzzles.

Lastly, this is the first Zelda game I have ever played. I"ve played a quite few of the Zelda titles myself. Although, I can't help to argue it's one of the greatest games I've ever played to date.

I think its about time they did a top view zelda game. Those are the best Zelda games I think. Link to the past is a really good game but I have never beat i can only get to the Ice Palace and thats where i rage quit cause i can't figure ou twhat to do. I need to get a 3DS so i can play it wen it comes out.

Another top-down Zelda? In terms of new games, we've only ever had to-down games on handhelds. So I'm a little bit disappointed. I really wanted to see what they could do with a brand new 3D adventure on the 3DS.

I probably will pick it up, if it turns out looking good. However, right now I'm not convinced. And it's not even because it's top-down, it's because when looking at the environments, they look remarkably similar to the original ALTTP's. What is there going to be to be able to differentiate this from the original?

Oh well, at least it isn't Majora's Mask 3D.

A Link To The Past is my favorite Zelda game ever so seeing a sequel like this has just given the biggest fangasm ever. It is about fricken time, I am all for innovation and everything but they have seriously over relied on motion controls for the portable console Zelda releases these last few years. If an innovation makes things harder, than what is the point anyway?
