I got an email that's supposedly from the central bank of nigeria. It was a 419 scam, you know the nigerian prince if that rings a bell. Look at how poorly written it is even I know how to write better(I suck at writing to be honest). Just take a good look at it and watch. I didn't fall for it as I dont trust anything from Nigeria mellow.png

Now that that jokes out of the wat, I hate these scams. They suck.

I'm honestly amazed at some of the spam i've seen. The Nigerian Prince thing has been around since the dawn of the internet. The serious part about spam is that it's obviously a numbers game. If the numbers simply didn't work out or nopony clicked them or fell for them, they wouldn't exist. These things keep coming because people keep falling for them. Every year, more and more people join the internet or get online somehow and so it literally is kinda feeding itself... we must not love ourselves enough to keep doing crap like this.

There are websites out there that will show you how to troll these guys. You play along with them and see how long you can keep their interest before they give up or you get bored and clue them in. I thought it would be fun to do, until I realized how much time you would have to put in and I didn't have time fo dat... I will get them from time to time and they're worth a few lulz to read. My favorite by far is the one that's circulating the interbutts that's based on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. It's just too rich...

Scams are just a sad attempt to try to troll customers and make a quick buck by promising products that don't come at all or they aren't even real products. What a sad attempt to steal information. sleep.png

That's what I would do, to the person who sent that.

This thread appears to be some manner of random (but strangely enjoyable) nonsense, or something spammy of the sort. Thus, it has been sentenced to the Forum Lounge section of Cloudsdale Colosseum. This is an automatically generated message, by the way.

It's been going on since the 1970s, they used to send physical letters to businesses, the internet allowed them to greatly expand... and they make a ton of money from it. I have no idea how people still fall for it... in some cases people have lost millions.
