Thunderbolts* - The best MCU movie in a long time. Great action, the humor isn't overdone, solid performances, and it's surprisingly emotional. 9 out of 10.

I saw half of the Equistria Girls first movie a few days back! Now I'm finally getting to see where the character Sunshine Shimmer came from! After months of constantly seeing refrences of her but not knowing who she was.

Passion of the Christ (2004) Powerful and beautifully told, with good direction and performances. Hard to watch because of the intense and painful subject matter, but beautiful in relating the ultimate message. 10/10

The Great Train Robbery (1903) It’s just a 12 minute movie so I don’t even know if it counts as a movie, but that’s how it’s often categorized so I’ll run with it. For one of the earliest films it actually holds up pretty well. I’m not saying it’s perfect but it does manage to tell a story in a short time and even throw in some decent camera work here and there. The hand-tinted frames add an interesting bonus to the production. 6/10

Field of Dreams (1989) Overall a pretty good movie. It’s best when it sticks to the subject of baseball without deviating into realms of politics. I think it’s amusing and absurd when they typically caricature anyone who doesn’t see eye-to-eye with the hippy stylings of the ‘60s as clueless imbeciles who can’t wrap their minds around the ‘wisdom’ of human degeneration. But aside from that, the story is strong and has some good dialog, especially James Earl Jones’ speech about baseball, which kind of renders the film’s own aforementioned philosophies moot. It’s nice to see Burt Lancaster making an appearance too. 7/10
