Also did anyone fill you in on what happened in the Perennial ? Because I don't really know allot about what the other characters are doing...I do know that Ocean is with Moonstruck and Frost at the bar. Fire has a crush on Sunburst (Kinda) Sunburst has a crush on Nightfall (Kinda) Little Hop has a crush on Fire (...not kinda...its pretty obvious) And Ocean has a crush on Nightfall. (From afar...she saw him and thought he looked handsome)

Fire Sunburst and Hop are all still at the table for sure...I dunno about anyone else. Ocean is at the bar with Frost and Moonstruck.

Dox just watched as everypony just walked õaway from him. They had completely ignored him... Just like in Ponyville. He hung his head a little as he climbed back up into the truck. 'Nopony really cares about me... I bet Moon and Feather don't even care, they're just being nice... They'll just leave me alone like everypony else...'

Well...no-one has actually said anything to Paradox for a while :3 

I (frostbite) left to try and get things moving, Cascade keeps falling over and Nightfall is getting her into the truck, now Feather is talking to Frostbite. I actually dont think anyone has spoken to Paradox since I left to talk to Ocean.

I'm all for extending the RP, I just...think people like Dawn need us to move on to give them something to do - poor guy's not been able to post for ages because it's out of his character to leave the position he's in and no one has gone and spoken to him. (I would do, but I want someone else to speak with him instead of just me all the time, i'm trying to interact at least a little with everyone) 

 

That, and i'm paranoid that everyone will lose interest in this RP if we have too much travel time and not enough variation (as happened with my first RP...) 

 

That said though this RP is still young and needs time to flourish ^^ I'm just overthinking things again

Also, i've just thought of something as I was redoing my OC pages at long last - if we get low on ponies, I could always try bringing Ardent Discharge along for a ride - I really think I should have brought him in the first place, but hey ho. 

That's just a thought, if you feel we are getting too low on characters at any point.

It's not THAT young. I ENDED my first RP by seventeen pages.

 

That being said, I'm a touch pony. I can take it. (And I have another RP to keep me occupied while my character is not doing anything)

You ended your first RP in 17 pages? I know RPs that haven't even started until their OOC page got more than that o.o 

Sometimes they dont even finish introducing all the characters until the first 10 pages are out of the way...

I do think that some stuff should go down at some point. It's getting a bit stretched to ahve our characters continue to interact only with each other in a static essentially blank environmnt. I'm waiting for action sequence.

I just wanna throw in my two pence on the topic of how fast romance happens in roleplays - you know when you are in a role play, and it's a romance RP that people are expected to develop romances in? It annoys me just how fast they actually develop, and it's always the same story with the characters too. I have only seen it pulled off a few times well, by a few certain people, but otherwise...

 

There's also a thing with RPs like this one, with my characters I like to just throw things out there for the other participants, but I rarely go all out unless there's nothing else to do - it's fun to casually flirt with most of the cast half the time

Eheh....yeah, I am so guilty it's not even funny. Understand what you're saying there. But there are always...narrative issues in a roleplay, if you want to start judging it as a narrative. When, 100% of the time, there's really barely an audience, so at least that doesn't have to so much be a concern, but I do think it ties closely in with how fun it is to play.

Continuing the romance conversation, that isn't to say I'm not enjoying it. True, if I were viewing this as a narrative then like Dawn Stripes says I'd probably be more critical, but from the "just for fun" perspective it's great! If anything I'd say trying to progress a story you only have a limited control over is a good writing exercise - even if you have to sacrifice your subtlety a bit, it's a good way to develop techniques for getting your meaning across; you really have to think about how what you're saying will be interpreted, and you have to consider the other players' points of view. 

 

Heck, a romance between Feather and Paradox never even crossed my mind (if anything I was already shipping Dox and Moon Wave XD) when @, put the idea in my head and just thought "well if Count is game why not?" and to a lesser extent I kinda strangled Feather with the red string (more like a very fast developing crush).

well, romance always happens when i rp. at least, it seems that way to me. every time i get in one, paradox generally finds a mare and hits her up. at least i try to make him more nice and romantic than he could be. XD

Mhmm, that's pretty sweet.

I take romance very seriously, even in RP's. If there's ever a relationship then I take that its still there even after we've done what we've done. That's why I don't ship Moon Wave anymore, since she's already engaged to begin with. (( Though I do admit, it did seem like I was trying to wasn't it? ))
