Mhmm, that's pretty sweet.

I take romance very seriously, even in RP's. If there's ever a relationship then I take that its still there even after we've done what we've done. That's why I don't ship Moon Wave anymore, since she's already engaged to begin with. (( Though I do admit, it did seem like I was trying to wasn't it? ))

 

I dont exactly do that, because...I dont know if i'll ever be RPing with the same people again, same with characters being killed off in RPs (Dusk and Fiera were my last ship, i've not used Dusk since, let alone played with PWD again) but I do something similar in that I wont play with a character who is already in a RP. I wont use Frostbite anywhere else until this RP ends. 

 

(Yes, I am just posting semi-relevant stuff here because there's nothing for me to do in the RP)

So, this leads to something I've been wondering: do most of you guys consider what happens to your character in a roleplay to be "canon" to that character's backstory? As in, once this roleplay ends, if you use that same OC in another, unrelated roleplay, will the character remember what happened in this roleplay (assuming there is ever a moment were mentioning the events from a previous roleplay might be relevant)? For instance, like with @, still considering Moon Wave engaged to Steel Crescent despite this being a different roleplay.

Not really, no. My characters are pretty fleshed out before I use them in a RP, and most of the time there are rules regarding character development not being allowed in other RPs so I just dont bother. 

 

I'm considering it with Dusk though, I might give him a clean slate (he is my ponysona and all) and let him develop, but I dont use him much.

All the trucks did make it across and yes Ocean would be near impossible to see...you may be able to make out her outline because she would be basically the one solid piece of water that would be moving on its own.
But I have a plan so no one has to save her. Its all good. Just post away, you still have Iron Hoof so...its all good.

It's a battle-saddle. you know, Fallout Equestria worldbuilding. It's basically, yeah, a saddle with a weapon mounted on top or on the sides, giant has three barrels, and anyway, there are harness traces holding a sort of bit in front of the pony's mouth. As per Fallout cannon, you bit down on the bit in a certain way to pull the trigger and cause the guns to fire. It was developed because only unicorns would be able to wield human firearms, when you think about it.

Never seen or read fallout equestria, anything that has humans or ponies with guns immediately drops all my attention in the gutter. 

(Adventure things like this RP are alright, because guns aren't central to everything like they seem to be normally)

I reacted kind of weird in a way. Tbh jumping in after Ocean could be more of a suicide attempt, since you wouldn't know if she went through any sharp rocks or anything ( considering she's made from water ) but you know. Might as well go for it since you're in the river.

That out of the way, let me just clear things up a bit.

 

My exchange with Giant is me clearing my head. I didn't go crazy and chase after Dox. I came back from being crazy then chased after Dox. Also, I didn't actually attack Giant, that was just my brain going through the motions before I could get my bearings.

 

Yes, Dox I know how this sounds but it is and it isn't a love interest thing. Steel (and effectively my own) life philosophy is that we all play "characters" in our lives. What role we play, from "background" to "hero" to "villain" to "comedy relief" and beyond can change from day to day. But we always have our own archetypes we fall back on.

 

In this case, Steel is Ocean's love interest and very much the Knight in Shining Armor. His inability to protect her from a force such as the river was what "pulled him out of the story." So to speak. He had no way to rescue her, and couldn't see a way to look for her. My cutie-mark is a pen crossed with a sword. My special purpose to reflect that is, "to create stories through my words and actions."

 

When "Steel" couldn't pursue Ocean, nothing could happen "the Story" ended. I mean, there's a number of things writer's could do, but keep in mind he/I wasn't in the best mental state to think of them. Plus I had to think of them from the limited faculties of the character/myself.

 

So CIMFIS kicked in. The fact that Ocean was gone, was just salt in the wound, it wasn't the cause itself. When Paradox took off in search of Ocean. "The Story" could continue, and all I had to do was reframe the Master Seargent as "Mentor" instead of "guy trying to help shell-shocked rookie" if you catch my meaning.

Which Ocean would love. But as I said before...The river is moving REALLY quickly...fast enough where if you tried to even swim with the current you wouldn't because it would be smacking you around...allot.

Hey, it wasn't your bad. It was never really establisehd how fast the thing was going, and if it was, you know, I missed it as well. Besides, being all physically in the same place doesn't mean it was all pointless.
