"The 24 Heures du Mans," Jack said at the mention of the race, recalling that fateful day in 2007.

"My cousin, Ryan McKane, was killed there in 2007, almost 20 years after his dad, Kyle, was killed in a wreck in Michigan," he said with forlorn, "It was Ryan's first ever 24 hour enduro race, driving the #56 Corvette for Whelen Engineering. He jammed his throttle on the straightaway, and at the chicane, couldn't slow down. Flew into the wall at nearly 215 mph, and was killed almost instantly. I've been using the number 56, switching from the number 11, ever since to keep his memory alive. 24 hour races are always bad luck for my family, as my other cousin, Jason, had his legs torn off at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring that same year. He's wearing cybernetic legs nowadays, and it just is there to remind me how dangerous my passion is." Jack continued down the road, still amazed at how much his life had changed after that crash. "I hope I'm not boring you at all. It's just... I've had so much happen to me. It's amazing how much can happen in such a short time."

"It's no big deal," he reassured Catherine, "I get asked questions about the crash a lot during interviews. It was a big loss for the family, but I know I have to keep the memory of Ryan alive," he replied, "It's all that he would want me to do. I race to keep his memory alive. Ever since his death, however, Whelen Engineering, as well as many car manufacturers, have taken many steps to protect the drivers. Allan McNish's survival during his nasty crash in 2011 could be owed to a lot of the safety advancements that have been rapidly developing over the years."

Jack pulled down the utility road to the infield of the track, where he stopped at the security gate.

"It's me," he told the man in the booth, "the guy behind me in the Charger is with me, as well. I'll need pit passes for six, please." He then counted six pit credentials, and handed them to Jack.

"Good luck today!" he shouted to him as they drove into the garage area. Jack pulled up to the team area, got out, and opened the door for Catherine.

Dash grumbled when the home phone rang again. "Alright, fillies and gentlecolts. Think it's time to wrap it up for the day. I got stuff to take care of. Until next time, keep it crazy!"
She pounded the keyboard and her Skype chat signed off. Ignoring the small flood of comments that rolled onto her Tumblr, she tapped her chin in thought. 'Keep it crazy'. Was that cool enough? Nah, she needed something cooler than that. She'd just made that up on the spot.

Probably something with home lingo in it would get them going. She found it kind of annoying how everyone expected her to keep saying 'everypone' when she wanted to try out all these cheesy human words, but what the heck. Whatever the people wanted.

Then Charles was there standing next to his corvette while waiting on them and he smiles as he saw them. "Hay guys." Then he was looking at the others too while looking at everyone even Rarity as they were getting out of the car. "So I just show my Badge to the guard and tell them that i am with you guys so they let me in."

They arrived at the grocery store. Blaze grabbed some cupcakes, for Pinkie Pie, and two 24 packs of coke. (Coke, FTW.) He sighs. Is there anything else you might want before we checkout?" He asked.

 

He still felt neutral about her.

 

He picked up some five gum, aswell. "As long as it isn't too expensive..."

 

Pinkie bounced around looking at everything in the store. "Wow, this place is almost like the store at home!" she said, happily. "Cept the store at home isn't a store at all, it's stalls outside! In fact, it's a market!" She picked up a pack of bright pink strawberry flavoured candy. It was very cheap as it was aimed at children. "Ooh, can I have this?"

Clare was about halfway thru her own pizza when Diliges spoke. She had thought halfheartedly about holding back, then decided that she didn't care if some random guy thought that girls shouldn't eat loads.

 

"To answer your question," Clare replied, after swallowing a bite of pizza. "No, none of the meat animals here are sentinent. They don't talk and have only instinct, not independant thought."

Harry idly watched Colette run out the door. She thought it weird that she would just up and leave, when this was the last relaxing time before exams. Harry wondered if Chloe was going to invite her; they didn't run with the same groups of friends, but they always got on alright.

Applejack made sure to sit so that Twilight was between her and Rarity. "Dash'd love this! Ah hope we get to see her and the others soon..." she commented, getting comfortable and placing her hat in her lap. She faced forward, smiling and looking around. This world may be weird, but it sure was interesting.

"Jack did say something about there being a race up in Wisconsin," Twilight said to Applejack, "and if Rainbow Dash really is in Wisconsin, then there's a chance we'll run into her at the race up there!" Twilight sat there for a bit, looking out the window and watching the world go by, when randomly, the Equestria Girls movie Twilight heard about popped into her head.

"So, anypony, err, anyone here heard of this 'Equestria Girls' thing?" Twilight asked.

He went over to the redbox machine. He types "My little Pony; Friendship is Magic" in, and he points to Pinkie Pie on the cover. "So, you're saying that's you?" He asked.

"Before I join the NSA I was a Michigan State Trooper when I was 19. They call me Fast Charles, I chase any Speeder who brake the law and Street Races too. So I have the Fasts Car in the world Corvette Z8, I been giving speeders tickets and arresting them if they do it second time."

Dr. Clark sat there at his desk as the students piled in. Just as the tardy bell rang, Collette ran into the room.

"You're almost late," he said, "next time, uh, don't be late. Heh heh. Now everyone in here knows the rules, uh, to not cheat, and to not talk, and to, uh, do your best. If you cheat, I'll, uh, I'll have to send you down to the, uh, principal."

"I've got a nickname, too," Jack said, "aside from Red Talon, because of my car, most of the guys in the K&N Series called me 'Snake' largely in the fact that I was the last person most people would expect up front. Of course, as I racked up more wins, that name didn't apply to me much anymore, but it stuck anyway."

Bowen shrugged, and had been about to respond to the two when the bell rang. He jogged to his seat and sat down, fishing the necessary supplies from his bag before waiting.

Logan leaned against the hood of his car in his usual position, listening to them talk. When the topic of nicknames was brought up, he chuckled quietly, "Among the cops in my area, I'm generally known as Shepherd. Partially because of Ulysses, but also because I tend to corral runners."

He shrugs, "Nothing to special."

He glances at his watch briefly before going to scratch Ulysses' ears, however only hitting air, as the dog has moved over to where the ponies are standing. Logan shrugs, before asking, "So, the race start soon?"

 

 

 

Angie nods to Twilight's question, "Yeah. I've not seen it just yet, but basically it's... Well, kinda like this, in a way. You, but only you, come to the human world. Except we're all human versions of other ponies. Likewise, you end up meeting human versions of your friends, except.. They're.. This is really strange to explain now that I think about it."

Diliges grins, "Well, that's a load off my mind.. Most meat producing creatures in my world are sentient, so meat isn't something I don't get to consume very often."

Instantly upon finishing his sentence, he wolfs down the rest of his slice in a short time. He goes for another, before stopping and clearing his throat, "Apologies.. That is no way for a military captain to behave, no matter the circumstances."

"Sorry," Colette said to Dr. Clark as she took her seat. She took a good look at her exam paper, gulping a little. Dr. Clark may be a total doormat, but the tests he gave were total nightmares! Colette had studied for this final, as she did for every other test, but she was nervous all the same. Without another moment's hesitation, she pulled out a pencil and eraser, and began the exam, doing her best not to focus on Rainbow for a change.

Just before the exam began, Chloe looked over to someone else she considered a friend, Harriet. "Hey, I was wondering if you wanted to come to my party on Saturday. It's gonna be at my house. Oh, and if you're coming, don't forget to bring a bikini. And a flirty attitude wouldn't hurt. I invited some really cute guys."

 

As the exam started and Dr. Clark started passing out the tests, Chloe pulled out a fifty dollar bill and handed it to him. "Here's fifty for an A," she whispered to Dr. Clark. It wasn't because she thought her exams were hard, she just didn't want to take them. She looked over at Colette and noticed she looked stressed out about something. "And here's another for Colette. Make sure she passes."

Cicada chuckled at the question. "No, I'm not going to be doing that," she said, as tho the very idea was ludicrous. Truth be told, Cicada much prefered taking emotions from random humans she saw in the street; they never realised what was happening and she got a far bigger range of emotions that way, and therefore more power. She hadn't yet tried her magic, but was sure that it was far more powerful than it had been when she'd first arrived in this world.

When the exam papers were given out, Harry glanced at the questions and mentally gave a thumbs up. Tho she didn't look it, Harry was a very good student. She didn't think this exam would give her any trouble.

Diliges winces slightly and looks down at his chest briefly, "I'll need to feed soon. It doesn't feel right taking from her, especially after she's shown this level of hospitality. Even if the emotions stemming from her are practically smacking me in the face. Humans really are unguarded with them. Guess that comes from not having to live in fear of us Changelings.."

Logan jumps slightly as his phone begins to ring, playing the middle section of the ABR rendition of 'Carol of the Bells'. His hand shoots down to his pocket, silencing the ringtone before taking his phone out and glances at the number, before answering. He'd been about to speak when he heard Rainbow's sing-talking. Holding back laughter, Logan lets her continue for a few seconds more before speaking, "Beautiful," He says, with a slight chuckle, "You've managed to reach the cell of Logan Kieffer. Mind if I ask what it is you need?"

Charles smiles as he wave back to Rarity, then turn to Jack and Logan while thinking about something. "So how many races you won? since have never notices. Also I did play Dayton 500 for EA Sports and I saw your Racecar in there too." THen he seeing Logan answering his phone while he was checking on his iPhone see how his buddy's finding the engery singure.

Both Stephen and Shawn stared at Cicada another moment, before Shawn spoke again. "What brought you here??" "And do you know where your queen is??" Stephen added, eliciting a look from his twin. "Queen Chrysalis is here, too?!"

Though the exam was hard, there was no need for the bribe. Colette would do well enough on her own. She focused on her exam, answering every last question; Colette didn't look it either, bit she did study and complete all of her assignments, and did fairly well on all of her other tests. Before she knew it, she was just over halfway finished when she chanced a glance at the clock. One hour down, another to go!

'Everyone deserves benefit of the doubt. I guess i'll have to trust her..." He thought to himself. He pressed rent, a hopefully good way to pass tine, and also rented two movies. He started out the door.

"So, uh. What are the other, mane 6 like?" Blaze asked Pinkie Pie, while at a Traffic signal. (I don't know what the walking signal things are called)

Johnny laid his cheek in his hand lazily as slowly took the test, answering what he could, but not trying particularly hard. He didn't study very much and he wasn't the best test taker, but surprisingly, he paid attention fairly well in class so he didn't struggle too badly.

Logan chuckles at Rainbow's alarmed sound, but falls silent as she speaks, "Oh, hi. Yeah, this is Logan."

He listens to her explanation, nodding despite the fact she can't see him. Logan glances over at Twilight and her two friends, "Yeah, I've spoken with her. She's doing great. As are the other two... Rarity and Applejack, I think their names are, if I'm not forgetting. I'm standing a few feet away from them, right now actually. Just a sec."

 

Moving the phone from his ear, Logan gives a semi-high pitched whistle, "Hey, Twi! Got a call for you. I think it's one you'd really like to take."
