Rainbow stood on shore, her hands on her knees because this ridiculous form couldn't stand up on its own, watching the car go under the water. She was sweating from adrenaline, breathing heavily, coursed through with wonderful, mind-scouring endorphins and excitement.

"So..." she said when she caught her breath and stood, still jittery. "That was fun. How much is it to get another one?"

Angie nods, "Yup! I really don't care what term is used, Brony is just recognized easier. I got into the show out of nostalgia. I was one of the first generationers. I was born around the same year the original started, so I grew up with Gen 1, but didn't watch it much past that, till Gen 4. I had been thinking about watching FiM, but when I saw Faust was working on it, it sold me."

 

She glances to Logan, who was simply petting Logan, as the question didn't pertain to him, "We're trying to get Logan into the show. We haven't been entirely successful as of yet."

 

Logan rolls his eyes at Angie, "You know full well why. I simply don't have the time to."

"Don't have the time?" Jack said, jokingly, "You're talking to a guy who travels around the country every weekend, is still able to catch up on Season 3, AND go to the Equestria Girls screening in Charlotte, and you're saying you don't have the time? He he he he. You're something, Logan. By the way, this whole thing would make for a decent sequel."

Catherine took the mirror from Rarity and a huge smile crossed her face. "Il est magnifique! Thank you, Rarity! Vous êtes incroyable! And you would lend me your necklace? Yes, I would really like that." She then took out her phone and sent a text to Jack. We will be ready in just about a half hour.

 

Rarity smiled at Catherine, and took out the necklace. "It has a clasp at the back," she said, handing it to her.

Clare smiled. "I'll be having my usual order," she said. "The meat feast; it has spicy pork, pepperoni, ham and sausage. Pick whatever you want."

"That's sad... wait a minute!" Pinkie Pie said, bouncing up to Blaze. "I'll be your friend! I'll even throw you a party, if you like! I'm friends with everypony!"

Logan leans forward in his chair, "You're talking to a cop who works half the day, six days a week. And when I'm not doing that, I'm catching up on sleep, or other necessary things."

He laughs slightly and sits back, "I used to be one of those people that couldn't shut the TV off after I turned it on, so long as I found something I enjoyed."

 

Angie cuts him off, jumping triumphantly to her feet and pointing at Logan, "Ha! You admit you would like the show!"

 

Logan raises an eyebrow at her and shakes his head slowly, "I did not say that. I said in the chance I found something I liked. I wasn't speaking directly about it. Tell you what, next time I'm in the hospital for a week, I'll try watching it."

 

Angie sighs, "Fine... Is it bad that I kind of want you in the hospital now?"

 

"... Yes."

 

Angie turns from her friend to face Jack, "So you saw Equestria Girls then? I'm yet to see it myself. What'd you think of it?"

    He looks at Pinkie Pie, giving up with finally believing that she was who she said she was. So that meant, those stories on the internet were true.

    "Yeah, sure I guess. It'll be fun..." he said in a low voice.

    He grabbed his laptop, and posted a quick video on youtube asking if anyone has found a 'pony'. He knew he would've looked crazy, but it could work. 

   He then got his shoes on. "C'mon..." and walked out of the front door.

Jack laughed at Logan and Angie's argument.

"When I went to see it, I was expecting it to be meh," Jack explained, "It turned out a lot better than I thought. It was genuinely funny at times, the musical numbers were catchy -I even find myself humming the harmonies from time to time-, and it kept the spirit of the show."

Twilight stood there, watching Rarity help Catherine with her necklace.

"Wow, Catherine," she said, "That looks amazing on you!" She turns to Rarity. "What are you going to do about her clothes? Do you have something special in mind?"

 “No they don’t have anybody controlling them” he said as he was walking over to her “it’s actually kind of hard to explain how they work and I wasn’t the type to pay attention in class” he said as he put his back to the wall. He turn his head to notice how she was smiling at the sky, he thought about what her world for a moment he wondered what was it like he’d had just assume it was similar to his world but there something more to it than he had originally thought .

Colette remained silent for a moment, frozen in shock as she watched the rear bumper of her car finally get swallowed by Lake Michigan... "No..." she let out weakly. She couldn't even look at Rainbow for the moment. Instead, she just turned away and headed in the direction of her house...

 

"It's more than either of us can afford," She said, voice quaking with a calm anger. "And my dad's the one making the payments. He's gonna put my ass in a sling once he finds out we sank the car!" She remained quiet as she led Rainbow back home, the trip taking much longer one now that they had to make their way back on foot.

 

Once they were back home, Colette spoke again. "Why don't you... Why don't you go and take a shower first?" She asked as she sat down on the couch, opening her laptop. The last thing she wanted to do was tell her dad that she lost her car, so she turned merely focusing on getting Rainbow Dash together with the other Ponies... Before she trashes another one of her things!

 

Upon opening her email account, she saw that she had a message from Angie, she gasped, read it, then immediately replied:

 

>> So Twilight's an Alicorn Princess, huh? I don't have to act all formal and polite around 'er, do I?? 'Cause quite honestly, I don't do formal and polite very much... Rainbow didn't say anything, so I'm guessing she still puts her pants on the same way like the other Ponies, right??

 

Speaking of whom, Rainbow Dash got bored, so I taught her to drive a little. I took her out to a place where kids like to race each other, and well... Let's just say that my car's now taking a swim in Lake Michigan. My dad is going to fucking murder me when I tell him! I'm dreading telling him!

 

Anyway, back on topic! You're going to be flying here?? That's awesome! I'll have to give you my address, as well as directions. I'd come pick you guys up myself, but I can't, for obvious reasons. Colette left both her phone number and address before heading to her bedroom, leaving the email unsent for the moment. Seeing as Rainbow was in the shower, or so she thought. She wanted to pick out clothes for school in the morning. After doing so, she headed back out into the hall, knocking on the bathroom door. “Your buddy just sent you a response. Why don't you reply to her? And don't break my laptop! I'm in it deep enough!”

Rainbow Dash, It's me, Twilight Sparkle! We're currently headed on an airplane (some big, weird thing with wings) to San Diego. Magneus shutdown the computer as it would probably be awhile before a response came. "Its pretty far. At least a 12 hour flight." He got up from the chair and walked over to the pad that served as his bed. "We should probably get to bed now." He left for the bathroom so he could brush his teeth.

Arcane looked over at Emily and shook his head. "No. I think i have everything i need at the moment... Thank you. Goodnight." He laid down in the bed and pulled the covers over him. It usually took him awhile to fall asleep.

She sits back into her chair, crossing her legs.

Logan glances around the hotel room before clasping his hands together, "So, Jack, you ever shot before?"

 

Not the most common question, but it was something Logan could actually talk about, given his lack of knowledge about the show.

Rainbow Dash was starting to get the idea that cars might perhaps be a teensy bit more expensive than farm wagons. After a long, ground-pounding, and very distressingly silent walk back to Colette's house, Rainbow Dash had gone through sufficient feeling-like-crap after doing something stupid once again to have come down off her high, feel sorry for herself once more, stub her toe kicking a rock, get mad at herself for having feathering mood swings, and be tired of it all enough to just want to try to make it up to Colette so she could say she was doing something productive.

Nothing much she could do, though. With no wings...she didn't even have a job here. She didn't have a place here.

 

When Colette offered her the laptop, Rainbow winced as the jab and tapped on the keys, not trying to type, just trying to make sure she didn't do anything to make anything else blow up around her. She'd be out on her tail if she couldn't stay here.

 

'Get over here, Twilight! I'm sitting over here with no wings, just about getting kicked out of the only house to take me in, and you're watching car races! I wanna' go home! We gotta' find Rarity and Fluttershy and Pinkie! THAT'S our number one priority! I have no idea where they are and no way to get anywhere, though! Use that plane and do a flyby of this place, won't you? And have you figured out a way to get home yet???'

Fluttershy retreated into her everyday-business shell for the next few days, while she waited and hoped for things to calm down at 'home'. She went back and visited the hospital again several times, and finally got made an official volunteer, where she spent as much time as possible. She felt a little bad that she wasn't making any money, but Magneus hadn't complained about it yet, so maybe it would be okay. Besides, when one of the nurses heard her wondering out loud about it, she'd offered to pay Fluttershy if she 'needed the money'. Fluttershy quickly refused. She didn't really need the money. She knew what the woman had meant. There were some people here who couldn't even pay for the best medicine, and Fluttershy couldn't image taking from them.

After watching her help with patients, more than one of the nurses mentioned wishing they had Flutterhsy around more, and suggested she should go to school to become a nurse. Fluttershy was never sure how to respond. If she was living here, it would have made sense. Going to school the way they were suggesting, it turned out, took years. Did Fluttershy want to spend that long? Was she going to be here that long? She was trying to fly away from here, after all, so she could be reunited with her friends.

Maybe she should meet them first, so she could see if there was a way to get back to Equestria. So she brought up 'America' during the next dinner with Magneus.

Colette jumped into the shower, taking her sweet time. Rainbow Dash might've been the one who sank her car, but she was the one who taught her to drive! A stupid move on her part. She banged her head against the tile a little, mentally berating herself. She was just as guilty as Rainbow, so she needn't be so harsh on her...

 

She stepped out of the shower and dried herself off before heading to the living room, sitting down next to Rainbow Dash and placing a hand on her shoulder. "Dash? I'm at fault, too. I... I don't mean to be so angry at you, but..." She paused, trying to think of how to properly convey what she wanted to say to the Pegasus. "Look... We can't just be reckless all the time, okay?? Let's just... Let's just watch your show for a little bit, okay??" Colette then took ahold of her laptop, glancing at Rainbow's message before hitting send. They both had a little time before her dad came home, so Colette had a little time to think of something Rainbow could do to keep her out of trouble! But for now~... Colette pulled up Youtube, did a quick search of the first episode of the series, sat back, and watched with Rainbow.

Cicada heaved a heavy sigh as she sat up on the bench where she'd made her bed. She'd thought that Murray had so much potential... and then, out of the blue, he had said that he couldn't help her any more. Cicada shrugged that off; she'd managed to feed on his regret before their ways had parted, and now she was learning to survive in this strange world. Things weren't all bad; humans showed their emotions far more readily than ponies did, and she was more powerful than ever before.

 

Diliges nods, "Alright then. What do we do now, while we wait? I'm pretty curious how close human architecture is to Equestrian."

 

Clare stood up. "I can take you around the house, if you like," she said. "Just promise to be careful with everything; after all, this house doesn't belong to me and I'm supposed to be looking after it."

Stephen was just returning from his daily jog, having missed the opportunity earlier in the day. Portland's streets and sidewalks were as crowded as they usually were, forcing him to weave and dodge couples and crowds of other pedestrians. Dammit, why didn't Shawn wake him up?? He normally could get up on his own, but today just had to be one of THOSE days where he was just too exhausted. Oh well, didn't matter now! Despite the crowds, Stephen was getting his daily exercise!

 

He stopped to take a breather near a park bench. Stephen had outdone himself today! He finally got further five miles! Maybe there was hope for him-- huh??

 

Looking over to the bench, Stephen spotted what appeared to be a homeless young woman sleeping there. What struck him as odd was that though her clothes were ripped, they seemed clean, as if she hadn't been out in the street long. "You okay there, miss??" He asked, wondering why he was reaching out to a stranger. But from the looks of things, she looked like she could use the help…

Rainbow didn't want to push anyone's buttons right now. So, since she'd gotten at least some of a workout walking home, and her muscles were at least a little tired, she contented herself with watching 'her show'--whatever that was.

 

In several minutes, she had revised her old marketing plan as too vague, and come up with a new one, almost good enough to make Twilight proud. Wonder if Rarity would give her a hand?

So THIS was what all the stuff at the mall was about. Rainbow did have to wonder a little where the humans were getting the stories of them about, but it wasn't that unusual. No surprise talk about Rainbow Dash's amazing stunts tended to spread! They didn't get everything right, though. She was way cooler when they'd battled Nightmare Moon. And Discord. And that little punk Trixie. And her Sonic Rainboom was way cooler than that. And who in the mother-fucking hay thought Rainbow would just let Fluttershy fall off a cloud as a filly and not even notice?

Oh my God, this IS indeed Rainbow Dash! Colette thought with a huge grin on her face. The Pegasus' voice, mannerisms, brashness… It was all her! And she was sitting next to her!

 

Colette laughed as a pink Earth Pony followed the blue Pegasus around, showing up out of nowhere in an impossible fashion, irking Rainbow in the process. She watched as the pink mare followed both Rainbow and an old buddy of hers raced each other.

"Pinkie is crazy, but your friend Gilda's a straight up bitch!" Colette said as she watched the Griffon scare off a certain butter yellow Pegasus. "Poor Fluttershy! I hope some nice found 'er, if she's here!"

 

Colette continued to watch the show for a little longer, before she realized it was getting late… and that she was still clad in nothing but a bath towel! "Uhhh… we should head to bed... After I get dressed!" She said as she stood, tightening her towel as it had come loose and had drooped down a little too far... Hopefully, Rainbow didn't see anything! Like there was anything to see… As if Rainbow would care, anyway!

 

She stepped into her bedroom, calling out to Rainbow. "I'm sleeping with you tonight! The clock alarm's in here, and I'm too lazy to bring it out there!"

"Hay, Gilda's still my friend, you know. She's just... a little rough around the edges." Rainbow sighed. "This makes her look worse than she is. She's...you don't know her like I do, okay?"

 

After Colette announced that it was time for bed, Rainbow stretched and yawned. "Sure thing. Got anything fresh for me to wear?" After she was installed in bed, Rainbow tossed and turned a couple times, throwing her arms out and taking up most of the bed. "This is pretty comfy, I gotta' say. You know. For a ground-pounder. And a human."
She lay in the darkness. Awake, maybe for hours. Not like her. She was pretty good at going to sleep normally. After a while of restlessly resisting the urge to toss and turn, as she was by now snuggled up against her bedmate as any pony would be wont to be, she whispered into the quiet bedroom. "Hey, Cole? You awake? ...Are you still mad at me about the car?"

"Uh huh... She doesn't need to be so mean to your new friends, though!" She said as she opened the door, letting Rainbow Dash in. Other than Gilda, the 'show' that Rainbow was in was surprisingly good! no wonder people became fans and Bronies! Colette stepped out and brushed her teeth as Rainbow got dressed in  a fresh set of PJs. Coming back into the room and limbing into bed after turning the alarm on her old digital clock.

Colette was indeed awake as Rainbow nearly  pushed her out of her own bed and wanged her in the face. This was going to be a LOOONG night! Colette did a little tossing and turning of her own, trying to get find sleep, only to have it evade her... Maybe she should go back to the couch?? It wasn't like the Pegasus had to go to school in the morning...

 

It was then she felt Rainbow's body against her. What was... What was she doing??

"I'm awake, Rainbow. And yeah, I am, but not as much as before. Why ya asking??"

Logan heard his phone chirp. He took it from his pocket, and when he saw it was another email from Colette, (I cannot remember if they swapped already swapped names, so I'm just assuming) he tossed it to Angie.

 

She opened it and read the email, before replying:

 

"Yup, she sure is! And no, you don't, really. She's pretty chill still, so you don't have to worry about all that. At least I didn't have to, and I'm not exactly the most formal individual.

 

 

Oooh, shit. That sucks. Like, a lot. It's probably a good thing we didn't drive out to you guys then. Logan's squad car can top 150 when needed, and just looks fast in itself. Dash probably would have liked that quite a bit. But I'm deviating.

Again, that sucks. You guys are alright, yeah? Obviously alright enough to email us, but still.

 

Indeed we are! Many thanks for the directions. That'll cut down on time a lot.

Meh, don't worry about that. We can always rent.

OK, cool. I'll pass the message on to him. Looking forward to when we all meet up!

 

OH! Before I forget.. Unless I already told you this... I don't know. Did I mention we rendezvoused with Applejack, another of the ponies? Because we did. Sort of. We, being me, Logan and the hound haven't me her yet. But we will be in a short time."

 

"Aaaaand send. Yo, Logan, expect a text from Colette eventually. Saved her contact in your phone awhile."

 

She tosses the otter box enclosed device back to Logan, who catches it and sets it on his lap with a simple, "Got it."

"I think the French plait would be best." She looked at her gold watch and noticed they were running low on time. "And I think I should let you know that we have about fifteen minutes before we are supposed to go."

"Wow, Rarity," Twilight responded, "You really outdid yourself this time around! Especially for your first time working on a human!" Twilight turns to Catherine. "Jack's going to love it. "

Twilight began to look around the house, turning her head to get a view.

"Where is the rest of your family?" Twilight asked.
