Out of curiosity, what are we all waiting for? It's just kinda gone quiet here and in the RP, is all.

I was actually about to ask the same thing.

 

I was personally waiting until Galt showed up. I guess I'll do that myself. But really what we're all waiting for is for the hour to strike midnight and the war to begin.

 

Funny how the New Year's start of Rapture's Civil parallels Nightmare Moon's return on the Summer Sun Celebration.

About that, when is that going to happen? My OC is sorta' chained to his table until it does.

I don't hate TV Tropes, I may poke fun at the endless Wiki Walks, but in truth, it's probably my favourite website. It really does enhance my life, and I've had lots of fun learning all sorts of things.

 

 

I think it would be nice to have a general TV Tropes thread  here on the forums, for all the tropers.

Neither Steel nor the other citizens knew that this was going to happen, I don't see why he would test someone (and put bystanders in the middle of it) against their will, without telling them about the arrangement.

Seems like the principle of freedom of contract would require him to inform Steel and get his consent before putting him in this kind of situation.

Adrew Ryan was, as I said before, a hypocrite. To Galt, I signed the contract as soon as I asked for the job. Everypony else signed the contract when they came to Harmony. (In all likelihood, we probably did.) The scene was an excuse to give myself a fight scene because I'm a combat junkie. to demonstrate how power mad Galt has become. Believing so firmly that all can "earn their greatness" to the point that harassing them and daring them to impress is almost a compliment. 

 

I sincerely apologize if it's still a problem, and I would offer to change it, but three have already responded to the event.

Nah It's not a problem, I'm just surprised that you didn't have your character call him out on it.

I really need to start writing the rest of Teneighbaum's story, the little fillies won't cure themselves. Does anyone have name ideas for the other important characters? Fontaine/Atlas is pretty essential to the rebellion and it's backstory.

You are very correct, but we still haven't quite nailed down what Fontaine's exact nature is yet. 

 

My personal idea is that he's a Changeling that broke away from the Hive. Sort of an analogy to anyone breaking away from the Soviet Union to escape to Rapture.

 

Fontaine changeling can assume the form of anypony he wants. (Master of disguise, remember?) 

 

His goal is to become "a real pony" he still feels connected to Chrysallis' will even if she no longer controls him. He feels by truly becoming a pony he feels he will be truly free.

 

Because POX is derived from a from Heart's Desire, which is a cousin of Poison Joke, which causes transformation. He believes that POX can render him wholly pony, but in order to do so, he needs a massive amount. Hence . . . the war for all of the POX in Harmony.

I'm sorry I haven't posted. My new job lasts from 6 to 4 so posting between those times would be difficult next to impossible. Again I'm sorry about this.

So I feel like I owe you all a detailed explanation instead of just saying "stuff happened" so...I've been trying to finish my intro post, but it seems like there's some kind of divine mandate that I can't finish it. From my monitor going out, my desktop freezing, to Chrome randomly restarting (twice) I've finally started typing it up in Word instead. I wanted to try to actually improve the quality of my posts but if something happens again I'll forego my plan and just move Silver Heart to where y'all are. Sorry once more and Evilcorgi let me know if you'd prefer me to just drop out, as I'll totally understand.

I couldn't tell if y'all are heading to the clinic or if I should have Silver Heart run into y'all out there; so I just had Silver Heart stay at the clinic to get ready to leave for the party...so she would have an alibi. Also incase anyone is even remotely curious I based the coin on this:

Thanks, I'm fairly certain being compared to the Joker is quite the compliment. Yeah, I hope it wasn't too dark. I kind of want to take Silver Hearts personality in a slightly darker direction.

It was indeed a compliment If you don't mind me saying, all your post was missing was an evil laugh. It was well-written and pretty chilling in my opinion. I would be very afraid if she went crazy.

I liked it quite a bit actually. I was quite shocked that Silver had such a drastic change in tone to her personality, but it was quite satisfying to see her subjugate Peach Tree to such punishment.

 

Assuming he doesn't die sooner than starving to death, I have plans for him.

 

Lastly, I "liked" his threat against me. I say "like" because while the content certainly got my blood burning, the fact that it produced such an emotional reaction means it's good writing.

Thank you. I have to agree, Silver Heart would probably be very scary if she went crazy. I've always thought that someone (Like a doctor, nurse, etc.) with a thorough understanding of human, or in this case pony, anatomy would be very scary if they lost it.
