"Oh I will most definitely help! I mean I hope I'll be able to help..." Novella adds while walking with the other ponies. Her horn is still glowing slightly and still has the extremely old spell book right in front of her face.

 

"I stocked up in the supply rooms a few days ago and also wrote a list of where to find everything! It's all completely organized and everything! I mean unless another pony went in there after me and ruined hours worth of super-duper hard work. In which case I will track them down and strangle them with my bare hooves!" Novella says with a smile.

 

"Wait did I just say that last part out loud? I didn't mean to and well I'm not used to being around so many ponies and in these circumstances chances of being immune to the disease are so low and I'm immune and I just don't know what to do and I'm usually all alone with my books. All of these ponies and attention...I just don't know what to do!" Novella stammers while blushing uncontrollably. She seemed to stare even more intently at her book and tripped over her own hooves a little.

Cosmo caught her stumble, "Don't worry, if you like, I'll happily strangle them for you," he said with an evil looking smile which quickly melted into a chuckle. "I know what you mean. When I first went to Canterlot I wasn't sociable at all so I just read books in the library. It was thanks to those that I became so good with magic." Cosmo glanced at the book she was holding and asked, "Do you mind if take a look at that later? I'm always interested in expanding my magical repertoire and don't think I've read that before."

Cosmo was surprised by the importance of the old tome. "Thank you, I'll be very careful. I would be interested in looking at those others later on if you don't mind. Oh, and don't worry about rambling, I personally have to comb through my thoughts to keep myself from talking for days," Cosmo said smiling, "Well, I doubt we need four ponies getting supplies so I'll just take a seat over there and read until we're ready to go. Cosmo sat down and began looking through the tome until he came across an incredible spell. "Specter Blitz?" He read silently, "...it allows the user to perform a chain of teleportations to reach their target in order to dodge obstacles and potential hazards. In addition, they are both immune to any kind of damage from non magical sources and unable to cast spells or move freely for the duration of the spell's use... This is amazing! I've got to thank Novella when they get back!"

Equinox searched through the supply shed for anything useful and found nothing that interested him or found useful. "There's nothing in here theat I could use..." Equinox sighed as he saw the gems on Novellas cuff. "

While the others had been walking inside the shed, Sunset noticed a smaller, blue shed to the side. She slipped away without notice, and went over to check it out. She opened the door slowly and realizedthat somepony had barricaded the doors from the inside, but not too well. She moved some stuff, and saw a stallion in the middle of the room. ((@))He was obviously infected. Whatever his colors originally were, they had gone completely gray, and his eyes were dilated.

Sunset Sky was tired from healing somepony a few hours ago, but she tackled him anyway. While he was still down, she tried to keep him down and thought of light, love, happiness, everything that was good in the world. Soon, a bright light enveloped the Earth Pony, and Sunset stepped away.

Cosmo double checked but other than a few good tips on magic conservation and his new spell, he found little of use in the book. He looked up and the group was returning, "You guys ready?" Cosmo asked, "Thanks again for letting me read this Novella, the Specter Blitz will be very interesting, even if not useful." He gave her the tome back and grabbed some of the supplies to carry on the trip.

Cosmo muttered as he reviewed the map, "Hey girls, are we more interested in safety it speed? The fastest route would be through a portion of the Shadow Trot Forest (feel free to over rule that location name...), but it's safer to go around it. Then again, I can fight most of the creatures in there with my..." Cosmo remembered his blades got left behind in Canterlot, but Novella especially seemed scared enough, so to hopefully avoid any concerns, he finished the sentence with "magic." "Actually... thats not a complete lie... If nothing else I can conjure Ghost Blades to help but I could probably get away with restrictive telekinesis..." he considered silently.

"Strange... I have two short blades with a very similar color and luster. Could this be from Obsidian Iron or another name for that metal? Cosmo said, "Interesting either way. I call my blades, The Black Swans, in respect to an ancient mythology I heard about. The were the names of two stars the were said to be the wives of a larger nearby star, Altiar. I use them in combat to harrass my opponents with swift and potentially letgal hits while I use my main sword, Altiar, made of iron and Nightmare Moon's armor fragments, to deliver the final blow, whether it be a knockout or... death....." After a moment he noticed he was drifting off, "Sorry, I have a dark history... Does your sword have a name?"

"Yeah its name is Medusa cause I can use to freeze in place either physically or mentally if I freeze them mentally the feel like they are turning to stone and they fall to their knees and then...i kill them or knock them out if physically the slowly get incased in ice and then i shatter them" Equinox said as his blade had two name but the second name is not use as much cause its made for killing.

"Medusa... A powerful weapon... I'm glad were not enemies," Cosmo chuckled, then added "We need to head out. It's about a day's trip over to the forest anyway so we'll decide how to proceed when we get there... Although..." Cosmo stopped to process his suden revelation, I actually have a.. uh... an acquaintance who lives near that forest. He goes by Chuckles and he both studies and creates magics and magical limiters related to insanity. I haven't spoken to him in a while but he might have some useful information... She didn't seem as scared or nervous for a moment as a dark smile crept along her face, but only for a moment. If you blinked you would've missed it.

Chatterbox was almost asleep,bored from study.She only just caught a glimpse of a group of ponies that had gathered close to sight of her window before she almost dozed off.They seemed to be heading off somewhere together..Only..They didn't seem insane.'That's a surprise' she thought,closing one of her study books with her mouth and pressing her head against the glass to get a better look.'Wonder what they're up to..Doesn't look like studying..'

Cosmo noticed the weird look on Novella's face as well as corcern on Equinox but he thought it best not to ask. "They'll mention it if they want to or if it's important..." Cosmo glanced around their surroundings, thankful none of the dangerous ponies were nearby. "Well thats good, lets just hope nopony... What the...?" Cosmo thought looking at a window with somepony's face pressed against it. "Hey guys, there's somebody up there," Cosmo said pointing at the window, "Do you think we should check it out before we go? Could add another pony to our little team..."

Standoff was lucky he'd relocated to the roof from the shed he'd been entrenched in. The zombies had mauled it pretty effectively, but they were in for a surprise. He could hear screeches and mumbling from the stairwell. Those suckers were going to be picking buckshot out of their faces...

Lighting a road flare, Standoff tossed it off the side of the building and waited.

Equinox looked up and saw the face pressed against the window. "Yeah...lets go check it out" Equinox said as teleported behind the pony and didnt screw up since he teleported for the first time. "Hey what are you trying to do are you spying on us or are you a spy" Equinox said

"Doubtful..." Cosmo said as he was hovering the air above Equinox, "and by the way you should really be more careful with teleporting. If two objects try to occupy the same space, one stays put and the other explodes. If you teleported your hoof on a piece of paper, you'd cut it off." Cosmo hovered down to an empty spot on the floor, "Sorry about that," he said to the pony watching them, "We're all tense with everything going on but you clearly aren't a spy or whatever he comes up with," Cosmo shot a teasing smirk at Equinox, "My name is Cosmo, and yours is?"
