NM Sketch Process

Now then, I've been working on this new art piece for a while now. I might sell the finished piece on etsy or deviantart, but the actual problem I'm having is that I'm not sure if people will be willing to buy my commissions.

 

Anywho, here is the  basic sketch thus far. I still have to refine the lines, outline the image, and color it.

 

 

 

 

So what do you think of it thus far? Do you think people would be willing to buy my work?

 

PS: I do draw other things too, not just ponies

Well then, that's awkward. I was voted most like Luna and NM by the majority of my school in our last newspaper, and that seems to be what I get most of the time when I take quizzes.

 

Anywho, I'm glad you like it.

its what im best at.....or so im told, but yeah, its wonderful......wish i had artz skills, but sadly i cant draw anything worth a damn, this kicks the crap out of it.

I must say that this is some lovely work. The attention to detail is clearly there and I can't wait for you to give this some color and values! I took a look at your DA and your previous works and I must say that I admire your strength in drawing portraits. I'm looking forward to the finished version of this piece. 

 

Now for the fact of selling your goodies, I'm sorry but I have to be blunt. While there will be individuals whom will buy your works, it's not a stable source of income. You will get one or two sales, especially if you draw something that the buyer is yearning for. But the fact of the matter is that sales will be sporadic and you can't rely on this as your main source of income, at least not yet. I'd suggest going through the rings of finding a job while positions are starting to open up.

 

You can draw, there's no doubt about it. The biggest issue that you're going to face is the lack of people who know of you and the competition throughout the net.

I don't actually know what type of paper I used for this anymore (the top seems to always fall off when I buy new art pads).
