Corona was happy to having a fun time being around these new ponies. Corona looked over and saw Snowdream walking away from a table and some other ponies. Floating in the air Corona waved over to Snowdream. "Hey Snow, come sit with us." Corona shouted hoping to get Snow's attention. Corona floated back down looking over at Flare "I'm doing fine Flare how about you? You aren't in every class with us it seems." Corona then looked to Star and smiled. Sterling took a good look of his surroundings as other ponies began to gather around the table. He noticed the lush green grass, the bright blue sky, and the cool breeze as he nearly finished his delicious lunch packed from home. He didn't speak much on the lunch table, especially since he was a nervous type. Nonetheless, he did introduce himself to the other ponies, "Umm... if you guys don't know, my name's Sterling. Sterling Crimson. I'm a science and music person. Everypony thinks it's a weird combo, but I think of it like this: opposites attract. My next class after this is music. Oh I can't wait to try out the high school's piano!" said an increasingly excited Sterling as he introduced himself to the other ponies.

"Yeah, sure," Star Rain said, staying quiet for a little while everypony else talked amongst themselves. 

 

She eventually broke her silence when Flare said that the mare named Ruby claimed he almost killed her. "No, it wasn't you she was talking about. She was talking about me." Star then looked up and saw the two new arrivals, Snowdream and Rudolph. "Oh geez, when did you two get here?!" she exclaimed, having not paid much attention to what was going on.

Corona smiled at the fact that she had so many ponies had joined her table. She was hoping that everypony here could become great friends. Corona looked around the table and noticed that there were a few ponies from their classes that were missing. "Hey everypony if you'll excuse me I'm going to find a few more that I feel are missing from our group." Corona took a bite of her sandwich and flew off finding Soman giving him the message to meet the rest of the group. Corona then saw Maroon walking through the halls by himself slowly. Corona landed next to him, "Hey Maroon you want some help? We've got a table outside the cafeteria if you wanna join us?" Corona asked giving him a tender smile.

Rudolph looked behind him at the table of 'popular' ponies he had just left.

 

"What a strange place this is..." he thought to himself 

 

Following Snowdream he sets his bag down on the large table with the group of ponies and takes out his apple slices and peanut butter. Mmhm.. the sticky-sweet taste on his tongue was wonderful, he hand't eaten anything all day, and he was getting to be pretty hungry. He looked up after chewing his first bite and glanced around the table. The others seemed quiet, almost too shy to even talk to each other. Obviously the first day of school is bound to be awkward, but Rudolph was determined to make it memorable. After all, he had traveled to this country to learn all he could about this strange new culture of Equestria, the best way to do that would be to make some friends! Rudolph swallowed his bite and stood up.

 

"Entschuldigung bitte, if I could have your attention please. I don't believe I have had the pleasure of formally introducing myself to you. My name is Rudolph Jäger and I am honored to make your acquaintance. I believe the best way to get to know one another is to talk about our interests. Or history. Or just a good story. I am hear with open ears."

 

Rudolph sat down and smiled, then took a bite from his apple with a satisfying crunch.

Sterling was delighted to see that their table grew more and more in numbers. It left him comforted that there were many ponies who felt like him too. New to the school, not having any friends to start, and probably having many unique talents were just some of the things they all had in common. He noticed other ponies jeering and giggling at them. It left him slightly discouraged, but the feeling wasn't new to him; in fact, he was jeered at all his life for being excessively smart, eccentric, and hard-working. The fact their group got larger really alleviated these negative feelings though.

 

He noticed a Germane pony introducing himself as Rudolf as well. He was delighted to see a foreign pony join their ranks! Sterling asked with excitement, "You're from Germaney? WOW! You must know all the amazing composers there like Ludwig von Neightoven, and Jomane Sebastian Bark! I'm very pleased to meet you! I'm Sterling Crimson, future doctor and musician extraordinaire! I'm from Manehattan, the largest city in Equestria! Our family recently moved to Baltimare for new opportunities my dad said. Pleased to meet you!"

"Well, I have never personally met any of those famous musicians... but I have been to their house! Each one lives in a huge exquisite manor near the king and queen. Every month they host a huge concert that the royalty and ponies from the village are invited to come and enjoy the beautiful performances. It is a marvelous experience, absolutely unforgettable! Germaney is my home, and I will always love its beauty and rustic charm, but I have a curious heart and mind to explore all that I can. Please, if you don't mind me asking, tell me about yourselves and this land of Equestria."

 

He turned over his shoulder and glanced at the 'popular' pony table.

Sterling's eyes began to light up when Rudolf talked about being hosted as royalty for monthly concerts! Oh how he loved to visit Germaney someday just to listen to them perform! Sterling was also intrigued when Rudolf asked about life in Equestria. He wasn't sure what to say, especially since he wasn't considered a "normal" Equestrian pony by any means. Nonetheless, he tried his best, "Well, here in Equestria, we do all sorts of stuff! My pen pals in Ponyville talk about Sugarcube Corner, where ponies can order all sorts of cakes and drinks. It's kinda like a bakery, but the food's really good! In fact, my parents order from there all the time with shipping! Umm as for me, I own a microscope so I can look at cells, the stuff that Mr. Bio talked about in class! I also like to play music on the piano and violin if that counts as something Equestrian..."

Sterling noticed Rudolf standing up and trotting away from him. He motioned for calm in Rudolf, worried that he would get even more hurt with his confrontation. "Wait Rudolf! Stop! You can't just confront them like this! They're only going to hurt you in the end! Listen to me! High school is not the only place in the world to socialize! I think about the future when they make fun of me. You've also got really awesome friends here too! Actions will speak louder than words! That is something very important we learn in Equestria!"

Flare got up from the table. "I need to see somepony before class begins" Flare said before he left the cafeteria and headed to his English class and stopped when he heard music come from inside. "Um...excuse me Mrs. Hoofton are you in there" Flare said as he knocked on the door.

"Wait Rudolf! Stop! You can't just confront them like this! They're only going to hurt you in the end! Listen to me! High school is not the only place in the world to socialize! I think about the future when they make fun of me. You've also got really awesome friends here too! Actions will speak louder than words! That is something very important we learn in Equestria!"

 

 Rudolph stopped mid-step. 

 

"Was hast du gesagt?" (What did you say...?) he muttered under his breath. He turned and faced Sterling. 

 

"I.. I suppose you are right. I am sorry, this is all so strange to me. I.. I just wanted things to be great for this first day in school... first day in Baltimare... I must remember that I am not in Germaney anymore. If I must adapt to your strange ways to fit in around here... then I will do so with honor."

 

He sat at the table with the others and smiled. 

 

"Besides, why would I need them when I have friends right here?" At that moment the lunch bell rang. Ponies bagan to get up and throw away trash and make their way to the next class. Rudolph hastily looked at his schedule. Next class was---- Literature! He announced the class to the table and asked if anypony who had the class in Room 420 would like to join him.

Sterling took a deep sigh of relief as Rudolf changed his mind and trotted back peacefully to their table. Just after what nearly became a debacle occured, the school bell rang. He waved Rudolf goodbye because they were heading to different classes. However, before he headed off to music, he wanted to see if Corona was busy after school. It was something that never crossed his mind before with any mare. Why this particular though? It confused him greatly. Nonetheless, he wanted to be friends with Corona at the very least. He turned to Corona and asked with some nervousness in his body, "Hey Corona... I know you're probably really busy and all, but I was wondering... if we could just... hang out after school? Maybe we could work on that math homework together at the library or my place?"

Corona was helping Maroon when Sterling approached her with a question. She excused herself from Maroon long enough to hear Sterling out. His question caught her by surprise and it made her blush heavily. Me...he wants to hang out with me...me. Okay Corona you've just gotta play it cool and don't show that you're a goofball. She thought to herself. "I...I'd like that Sterling." Corona gave a warm smile before heading towards room 420 for her Literature class.

 

(OOC: Ok everypony that's still in this please listen up and for those who haven't posted in a day just get with me and I'll get you up to speed ok. The time jump will be happening once the next class is over. It will be a 2 week jump and it'll be time for students to pick some clubs to join. I know this seems a little out of order but it's just to set up who's going to be where and what each persons got on their plate. After everyone picks their clubs most posting should consist of club activities, one class, and lunch to keep a solid flow. Obviously not in that order clubs come after school. Other random things like bullies and everyday events are free to happen with anyone's posting so if you wish to start something plz inform everyone at least one post before hand so it just doesn't appear randomly and disrupt the flow. I've already worked out a specific event with Star later that'll be a main focal point for a bit but that wont happen for a while yet ok. Any questions plz contact me through pm.)

Slowly and shakily, she walked toward the two.

Sterling wasn't too pleased that the mares were poking fun at Corona's colours before he left for music. In fact, it left him downright disgusted. He remembered what Rudolf said, and this time, he knew they took it too far. He fired back at them before heading off to his next class at the music rooms in Room 302, "And I'm guessing your parents did the same, especially since they'd wash away in the rain."

Snowdream got up from her seat at the table and quietly slipped away. She was feeling a bit uncomfortable sitting with so many ponies she didn't really know. She made her way into the corridors and to her locker. She opened it and started rummaging through her bag, searching for her timetable. Her class after lunch was biology.

 

She closed her locker and started aimlessly wondering the corridors.

Rudolph made his way down the school corridor past the cafeteria. He looked around, trying to find his next class. The halls were very big, but he still felt claustrophobic with all the ponies and griffins rushing by, pushing and shoving him to get to class or perhaps talk to their special some pony before the bell rang. He sighed and looked behind him. There he saw a familiar face... Corina was it? No, it was Corona- definitely Corona. She had said something about Room 420, and he needed help to find it in this big building. He turned and made his way down the hall towards her. She seemed to be talking to Sterling, and blushing.

 

Rudolph smiled tenderly and thought, "I better leave them alone, I wouldn't want to disturb them" So he continued on his way, searching for this mysterious Room 420.

Corona payed no mind to the mares poking fun at her since she'd just gotten asked out by Sterling. Before Corona went into her class she noticed Snowdream walking the halls looking lonely. "Hey Snowdream...I was wondering if you wanted to hang out after school? I just moved here so I don't know many cool places yet." Corona reached into her saddlebag pulling out the Cupcake Explosion she didn't get a chance to eat. "Here Snow I want you to have this as a sign of us becoming friends ok." Corona gave a kind smile while she held the cupcake out with one hoof.

Sterling was off to his music class for today. When he entered Room 302, he was amazed at how large it was. There were chair arranged neatly in an orchestral arrangement to his left, and to his right was a baby grand Yaneigha and the chalkboard. He had no care for anything else going on around him, and since he was the first pony to enter, he approached the piano and played on it. As he played, Sterling had his own thoughts about the piano, 'Hmm this piano's slightly out of tune... And the bass can be stronger, but other than that, it's a nice piano for a music class like this one.' 

 

As the other ponies began to walk in, they suddenly stopped to watch Sterling play. Needless to say, there were all pretty stunned at how well he could play on the piano. They noticed Sterling's hooving moving so fluidly and rapidly across the keys. It was almost mesmerizing to see... What was even more amazing was that Octavia actually came in with the music teacher as a guest for the first day of music classes. Both of them were also impressed. When Sterling noticed Octavia, he suddenly stopped playing with a blank face and scooted off to the side. 

 

Both the music teacher and Octavia approached Sterling nonetheless and complimented his playing, "Excellent playing young stallion. The world needs more musicians like you." "I'm impressed with you.. you're the new stallion, Sterling, right? Nevertheless, don't overdo it though. Don't make the other ponies jealous." Sterling began to blush heavily as he took his seat quietly and humbly. Nonetheless, Sterling's mind was in a huge whirl after Octavia complimented him, 'Oh my gosh... I GOT COMPLIMENTED BY OCTAVIA!!!'
