Considering a Gaming PC.

(Did a quick search and didn't see much. If it needs to be moved or locked that's fine.)

So, with the PS4 and Xbox One announcements, I will say this. They both look lackluster. Because of this, I'm considering going. and saving the money, along with gifts around Christmas and stuff, and just seeing if eventually I can build a PC for gaming. I just wanted to see if anyone had some reasons PC gaming is better, and if you think so, what would be a good, fairly cheep (around $500, preferably less) setup for me to purchase? I would have to build a new computer because I have an ancient Dell with no V key, so I can't just give it an upgrade.

Thanks in advance.

Well with my current set up i can run pretty much any game from this Year and back on high with great fps.

The Comp was $500 (Gateway) and combined with the graphics card and power supply... You're looking at $600 - 700

If your interested in what kind of Comp shoot me a PM and i can get you the model number.

You could also check out this video on building your own.

I'm thinking of doing this but i don't know if my comp is better then what hes building.

Alright well I hate to bring bad news, but a gaming computer around $500 would probably last you 3 months, and any newer games would be running on low settings, so you might as well get the xbox 1 or ps4. I've built mine capable of running battlefield 3 on ultra, for $850.

As there is a big controversy of PC vs Console, but in the end, you can upgrade a PC for better graphics and you have mods. Certain games, such as battlefield 3, has 32 vs 32 on PC, but only 12 vs 12 on Console. While console on the other hand, has console only games, such as SSX and so forth. If you do decide to do a PC, I highly suggest you get a barebones kit from ether Tigerdirect or Newegg, and just buy an operating system and videocard separate. As then you get all the parts you will want, and it will last a lot longer. If you need help on building the acutal PC, you can ether see the video above or

one, which I used to build mine. Good luck, and make sure you do your research, you don't want to end up wasting hundreds of dollars.

At the rate the market is going the days where people go and make their own PC's is becoming a dying art. More and more prebuilt PC's are getting closer and closer  to the same price as fetching the pieces yourself. I'd suggest giving Digtal Storm's VANQUISH PC's a try,  keep in mind I haven't tried one out myself but it looks promising.

No matter what though if I had to make a suggestion when buying a prebuilt PC, MAKE SURE THAT THE MOTHERBOARD WILL LAST YOU A LONG TIME! Even if the rest of your parts are trash so long as your Mobo can take newer parts then that means you can slowly replace things as you need to.

If you do not GO after what you want, you'll never have it. If you do not ASK, the answer will always be NO.

If you do not step froward, you'll always be in the same place.

The problem with going for a 500$ or less PC is it will need upgrades, probably about 200+$ in upgrades. If you are really looking for a budget PC, look for an AMD dedicated build, preferably with a quad-core processor or something equivelent or better and then slap about 250$ down on a new graphics card and power supply. That is what I initially did and it ran games like a champ. So either up the monehz or just go with a PS4/Xbox One I am not trying to be discouraging but budget PCs are still up there because they need upgrades if you wish to run current and previous games at a great setting and to play future gen. games unlike say an 800$+ one.

Yeah, I figured I night have to go over my original budget, but  I think it will be worth it in the end.

As for exclusives, I don't really care for either of them except Gran Turismo 6, which is coming out on PS3 anyways.

Note taken. Thanks.

Id prefer to have it pre built, but I figured I might save some money
