Rambler shrugged and pulled out his flask, taking a deep pull from it. "Alright, I'm going to get some breakfast, are you coming?"

Flint sighed as Sole walked away. "Well, I certainly don't know what his problem is. He ought to find himself a nice mare, maybe that would mellow him out a little. So... I guess we should probably go get ready for the games or something, huh? Wanna grab some breakfast with me?"

Sole landed in the training grounds with and angry growl, instantly going for a cememnt block. But as soon as he punched it, it exploded in a shower of sparks. He soon did this to 2, then 4, and kept going until they were all nothing but rubble. But he was still mad... with an angry growl, he looked at the sky and released a lightning dragon's roar.

Regal stopped and faced Iron.

"That is very unlady like and it's not polite to yell at other" Looking her up and down Regal sighed when he looked at this mare

"Your posture is wrong your mane is undone... Oh I could go on and on, but I have better things to do then deal with a mare that can't figure out the simple answer to her own question. Now if you excuse me I'm starving and i want to eat before all the food is gone" walking down the stairs Regal was gone.

"Absolutely. We could discuss strategies and divide into the two teams with the other guild members. They're more likely tthank not heading to breakfast too." Minath said. She wrapped her wing around Rambler's shoulder and headed to the inn's lounge for breakfast.

Iron looked incredulously as Regal walked away. What the buck just happened?

 

"Sure..." Iron said to Flint. She headed down to the lounge, hoping to avoid her guildies. 'Man, these ponies are crazy' Iron thought to herself.

Diamond practiced using her magic for a little bit before she decided to grab some breakfast before the fighting started. She made her way back to the Inn.

Fire stopped at the bottom of the stairs. Her stomach growled and she thought for a minute before walking towards the lounge to get some breakfast.

Thunder got up, his mane was all puffy and out of shape. He looked around the room, he was feeling very groggy due to the night before. He got out of bed slowly and went to the bathroom. He combed his mane down, and used spray to keep it down. He had it over his right eye as usual. He then sighed as he looked at himself in the mirror. "And....the games begin today..." He said with a tone of shame.

Sole flew back to the hotel a short time later, still angry. As he arrived downstairs for brekfast, he noticed almost everyone else was already there, so he smiled and tried to concentrate on winning the games for his nakama. With his usual grin, he turned to rambler "so, what's first for the day? Battle strategy?" He asked curiously.

Flint shook his head. "Sometimes it seems like everyone in this guild is crazy, you know? If Fairy Tail is supposed to be a family, I guess insanity must be hereditary." He chuckled, particularly proud of how clever he thought that line was. He wrapped his foreleg around her shoulders and headed into the lounge.

Rambler nodded. "First, I have to announce the teams. But before I do, we need to make sure everyone is here. We aren't missing anypony, are we?"

Diamond ordered some haycakes and was about to sit down until she noticed Rambler sitting by one of the tables...with that griffon...whatever his name was.

"Good morning." She said, walking over and smiling as she lit a cigarette. "Anyone got any idea on how the day is supposed to go?" She asked.

 

 

Fire ordered some food and sat down in the corner of the room. She recognized a few members from the guild but didn't approach any of them.
She yawned and pulled out a book.

sole sighed "we've got almost everyone...even your brother..." he mumbled angrily, but quickly hid it as daimond walked up "hey smoker, sorry about the whole blow up your cigs thing... just don't like them." I don't want to start getting into that unless we have all our guild's representatives present, so for now I guess we just eat breakfast and hope he shows up soon. We have a few hours until we need to be at the arena, so we can afford to wait a little bit for him."

Diamond gave Sole a bit of an annoyed look. "My name is Diamond. And if you don't like them, why did you sit down next to me? I was there first and I never asked you to sit down. But yes, I accept your apology." She said, smiling and looking at Rambler. "Well, hopefully he'll get here soon." She said.

 

 

Fire heard a few ponies talking from nearby and was debating whether or not to go over and say hello...she did recognize a few of them, but didn't know their names.

She thought it best to just keep quiet.

"Alright, before I name the team members, I just want to say that these were not decisions made based on skill, but rather on team chemistry and trying to keep both teams fairly well-rounded and versatile for whatever challenges we'll face. Alright, so the members for Team A are- Minath Watcher, Sole, Flint, Diamond, and myself. Team B will be- Thunder, Lycan, Fire Dancer, Iron Quill, and Regal. Snow will be on standby for the time being"

Lycan looked at diamond and returned the smile, "goodmorning diamond, how did you sleep? I slept like a sinking stone becouse I slept wrong on my matress....I woke up with a huge headache, but my alarm clocks noise gave me enough energy to ignore it and wake up..." said lycan with a tired smile. at the mention of being on the same team as flint, sole's anger skyrocketed, without meaning to his lightning began to zip around him crazily. "Dammit!" He mumbled angrily, as he turned to rambler "what the buck drunky!" He growled, as he tried to control his lightning.

*Team Chemistry...and I'm placed with Sole. Is this some sort of joke?* Diamond thought to herself. "I find the nickname "Smokey" crass and rather rude. I would rather be called by the name I was given and grew up with, thank you."

 

 

Fire looked up as she heard her name...or was it somepony elses?
She walked over to Rambler and cleared her throat. "Forgive the interruption...but is there another pony here who's name is Fire? Because you said Fire Dancer...and my name is Fire Sky, but I am often mixed up with my older brother...who is Flame Dancer. So did you mean me...or somepony else?" She asked.

"I thought everyone knew that already. Only teams of five are accepted in the games, but guilds are allowed to have more than one team if they can qualify- which we did. I heard Lamia Scale has a second team this year too. It's pretty unusual for more than one guild to qualify for it.

Rambler was taken aback by Sole's outburst. "Um... Is there a problem?"

Rambler blushed, embarrassed by his mistake. "Oh Celestia, I'm sorry. Maybe the alcohol is finally starting to get to me. I meant you of course. I'm really so sorry. I can't believe I got a guild member's name mixed up. I promise it won't happen again. And I'm sure you'll make a great addition to the team.

Diamond was a little disappointed with the team pairings, but just thought it best to keep quiet...for the rest of the day.
She sighed and sat down as a waiter placed her food on the table.

"Yes, I'm Rambler. The guild master put me in charge of our teams for the games, but it's not like I really have much more idea what I'm doing than any of you guys. He only picked me because I was at least here to watch the games last year, and most of our veterans have left the guild or were unable or unwilling to participate."

Rambler shrugged. "Alright, whatever. But if you have something you want to say, you should say it now while there's still time for something to be done about it. That goes for all of you."

Thunder was among the group. He wasn't really noticed because of how quiet he was when he came in. He made sure he was quiet, have him less to deal with and to say. But he lisented, trying to gather all the knowledge. Though he wasn't sure how his team would work out. But he didn't care anyways.
