Glaring at the newcomer pony, Windy muttered, "I don't have time for you! I don't even know you! All I DO know is that the mare that I really, really, really care about is running off, and the other stallion she wants is following her out! Probably gonna go comfort her and tell her what a jerk I am... Which I suppose I am." Turning to look at the pony, Windy scowled, saying, "How can you pass judgement on me? You don't even know me or what Minty and I have done.. What I should have said... But didn't..." His mask of hostility was now crumbling and his voice began to waver. "Now I've lost her to... Blaze!" he spat the name out like a poison. Turning to look at the stallion again, Windy whispered, "What can I do to show her how much I care? What do I have to do to not lose her?"

  

Blaze looked at windy with avworried expession and followed minty to her dorm. It had taken him by surprise that she was transfering. "What? No, come on minty. I mean he was being sincere. It was an over-reaction eerypony does it! You don't have to. Come on."

"I just.. I don't think anypony really cares about me, anymore.. Nopony is really my friend.. I knew that it was a bad idea to try to make friends. I've failed to do it all my life." She thought about all the times she attempted.. But to end the school year with none. None. She was the loner.

Blaze felt genuinly hsartbroken at that. "Hey don't say that mint. You have made friends. I'm your friend aren't I? And-and windy is aswell. He was just a little upset." He squezzed her hoif lightly as a sign or reassurence. "I'n sure that if we were to talk to him he would calm down."

Right now I have a problem to fix!" Hopping off of the barstool and spreading his wings, Windy flew for the exit triumphantly... And clipped one of his wings as he was exiting the door. It had been too tight of a fit. Crashing in a comically loud smash into the hallway, he popped back up and started running for his dorm, unabashed by his klutzy move.

 

Opening the door to his dorm, he saw a horrible sight: Minty, with bags all packed, ready to leave the room! "Wow... Our competition has really been hurting her..."

 

"Wait!" He yelled at Blaze and Minty. "Hold your horses! Minty, please don't leave because of a douche like me! I'm at fault here, not you!" Taking a deep breath, he continued much slower and quieter. "I'm to blame for all the problems going on in here. I was hitting on you way too much Minty, forcing you to make a romantic decision. That wasn't fair. Nopony can force anypony to decide who they like or should be with. If you don't feel you can stay in the same room as me anymore though, I'll leave and transfer to Todd's frat house, if that makes you feel better." He said, hoping and praying she wouldn't take him up on his offer.

Ok, now that that is an established fact, we, and especially me, need to back off on the whole 'hit on her until she is forced to choose one of us' thing. We're putting too much pressure on her. She doesn't want to hurt either of us, because she's just too nice. So we need to back off and let her choose in due time, ok? Is that a deal?" He said, extending a hoof to Blaze to shake on it.

Minty woke up early, and saw that Blaze was already awake, of course. Like usual, she'd go on a morning jog. "Morning, Blaze. I'm going for a quick run!" Minty put on her gear, and trotted out the door, lightly closing it not to wake anypony-- we'll, Windy specifically, since he had a temper.

Waking up later and groggily stretching and yawning, Windy dragged himself out of bed, threw on his training clothes, and headed for the training room to actually do a real workout, unlike the one he and Minty had 'done' the night before... As he walked over, he saw Minty in the distance on a run. He thought about going over and saying good morning, but a small voice popped into his head. "Remember... When you love something, you let it go..." Shaking his head and turning away from Minty to avoid the temptation to go try and talk to her, he hurried into the training center to work out. 

 

Walking inside, however, he found Coach Shinsplints blocking his way. "RUNNER!!!! YOU WERE THE ONLY ONE IN THIS CENTER LAST NIGHT, SO CAN YOU EXPLAIN THIS TO ME?!" Shinsplints bellowed, before throwing a small piece of rubber into Windy's face. 

 

"Uh-oh... How could I have forgotten to throw that away!?"

 

Towering over Windy, Shinsplints leaned down and whispered into his ear, "Look. I get it. I was once a college colt too. And if it was that green pegasus I saw you shamelessly flirting with at practice, then good for you! She's a real beauty. But seriously Windy? Don't leave... messes in the center after you're done next time." Windy couldn't help but have his jaw drop. He wasn't getting in trouble? "Every captain who has ever had access to this facility has nailed at least a few mares in here afterhours. Don't think you thought it up first. However, they all had the good sense not to broadcast what they'd done in here.... Unlike you. So for that, I'll excuse your screw up, AFTER YOU GIVE ME FIVE LAPS OF THIS DAMNED CAMPUS! Starting NOW!! Go Runner, right now, hustle!" Shinsplints yelled, pushing Windy out the door of the center and forcing him to start a long, tiring run cross campus.    

 

Running away, Windy muttered, "Well, I guess it was asking too much to get off scot-free... Oh well, maybe a run is just what I need to purge myself of what happened yesterday!"

Royal was luckily not to drunk to find his way home. (He also helped denim home too, if she was to drunk, but im not sure who's skipping and whose not.)

He slept well enough, but he found himself thinking on everypony.

"That love triangle was good to see again." He said sarcastically. "I hope i didn't make anything worse. I need more friends then enemies and im not sure where i stand with that mare." He laughed when he thought of his love and the triangle. "While they ran off falling in love and im guessing bucking, i will wait. I am more focused on my work then they are, clearly." He looked over his class list, seeing that his first class started soon.

Denim had finally found her way back to Royal. She may or may not have left a stallion that could be classified as 'meat head' frozen where he stood.

 

She flopped down on a stool next to her roommate after she saw Windy leave, giggling profusely and throwing one leg over his shoulders, "A gentlecolt, and good advice giver! You haven't failed to amaze me yet, 'Mr. Royal'," she rested her head on one hoof, "Except maybe your lying about the flask thing. But frankly, I'm to drunk to care right now, so I'll let it slide," she glances at the bar, shaking her head, "I probably shouldn't have anymore... Meeeh, what am I talking about? I'm drunk!! I shouldn't listen to myself!"

 

She takes her foreleg off of Royal and slams both of them into the bar, practically standing on it, "HEY! Give me the strongest thing you have!!"

 

Post-skip:

 

Denim woke up, bundled into a small ball of blankets. She turned her head partially and instantly regretted it. She must have blacked out last night, as she remembered none of it. Denim's eyebrows furrowed as she noticed how bundled up she was. She tried lifting herself with magic, but the aura instantly imploded and she groaned loudly as the pain of it struck her already throbbing head. She opened her eyes slowly and noticed she mist coming off the walls. Confused by this, she slowly lifted her head to get a better look. The room was coated entirely in ice, "What the hell did I do last night...?"

 

She asked slowly.

Minty blushed. "It was attractive? I've never actually been THAT aggressive before. But the world is probably out to get me.. my sister was kidnapped 10 years ago.." Minty sighed. "She never came back." Minty got up again, and started trotting again. "And I didn't want to be assertive because I could just hurt somepony like those kids did to me when I was little."

Shade smiled back at kit, "I would have done batter if you hadent gotten in my way all the time." She said punching him in the shoulder. "So what next? Up for another round of something or do you want to go mess with other ponies. I'm fine with whatever." She said flicking her mane.

You can't just give up on the world, or it will give up on you! And as for worrying that you'll become a monster if you start asserting yourself, there's a difference between standing up for yourself and hurting ponies! Those ponies that hurt you when you were a little filly, you'll never be a monster like they were and probably still are! I mean, why do you think I threw myself so fully into my soccer? I wanted so badly to show the bullies and neighsayers of my life that I was better than them! I started fighting back, standing up for myself! But I never, EVER became them. Although I now act like an arrogant toerag, all just to avoid feeling inferior and weak. We all have our inner demons, but if we don't fight them and let them run our lives, we'll never be able to live happily!"
