Sooooo far behind. Full time and part time jobs kinda got away from me for a bit, but I'm back. Not sure how quickly I can catch up, but let's see.

 

Sketch of the... couple of weeks ago. Big Mac and Doctor Whooves:

Theme of the... time. Make it fancy. Well, I did that already. Okay, maybe my changes to the above pictures were a bit too subtle... Nevermind. Here we go with the fanciest pony! Fancy Pants himself, Errol Flynning it up:

 

Self commentary: Both Luna and the Doctor's muzzles are a bit stretched out. I still have to resist drawing wings like *wings* rather than these stylized versions. I couldn't figure out what expression to actually give Fancy Pants, so it ended up kinda meh. I get the impression that running through his head right at that point is, "Wait, how did I get here?" Also ever notice that Big Mac's cutie-mark is *half* an apple? I wonder why?

          In honor of Be A Villain Day we'll be continuing with part two of drawing/sketching villains and antagonists! Nothing much for Issue five, my time's pressed as of right now due to being stalked by something so I'm just shoving this in here! I'll add the theme when I have more time on my hands. Until then though here's part two of sketching Antagonists and Villains!

 

          Remember: If you're having trouble refer to the tutorials/guides at the OP. Most importantly though don't stress out and have fun!

Oh this looks like quite a bit of fun.  Always wanted to to learn to draw and as everyone know's adding ponies to something only makes it better. 

 

Only thing is i have alot of catching up to do and i'll have a hard time not burning the unholy abominations i create.   

          We all started just like where you're currently at so no worries! Also, you don't have to start from the beginning, draw whichever theme/sketch you'd like to and go from there. Don't be afraid to ask for some tips or refer to the references/tutorials @ the OP. 

 

 

Is it too late for me to join in?   I have have drawn ponies before but I want to improve. If I do join in should I start from the beginning?  

 

          Start from the beginning, the middle, or right where we're at, start wherever you please! I myself am jumping from week to week and drawing whatever I choose to at whatever time. The sketch of the week is to help oneself improve at their own pace so don't stress out about starting at the beginning and having to work your way up to where we're currently at. Start wherever you wish! 

 

Wow I feel so bad for not having participated in this thread when awhile back I was one of the top contributers.

I think I'll catch up, if I'm not too busy with my classes, which is highly doubtful, but I'll get a drawing up soon enough.

I still need to do Cadence and Twilight from that week's challenge, but here's the Sisters:

 

 

I decided to change the context a bit, to put them both in the same picture. So now we have Luna having a bit of a rant, with Celestia having a bit of a giggle over it.

 

Pushing my scanner on this one. The coloring on Celestia is too subtle compared to Luna, so her mane and tail are a bit washed out. And the picture almost didn't fit on the scanner at all.

Commentary: Not that happy with Twilight, but Shining and Cadance didn't turn out that bad.

          Evening everyone, welcome to Issue #6 of Sketching with Accellerant. I've decided that from here on out I'm going to go back to the original formula of posting one image per week. The biggest reason is because I feel the direction I've chosen for us has been the wrong one. Having options is great but it's a better choice to focus on one image so we can compare/contrast each others works and further help one another instead of possibly isolating ourselves. Besides, I have a feeling many of us have gone back to school. I'm not sure about you but I've been getting crushed by some classes and need to spend as much as my time studying! 

 

          But enough with the dry content, we're back on schedule. Here's the next sketch, enjoy!

I'd love it! Really good idea. My computer now is super reliable Plus I have Applecare incase things go wrong again.

The only thing is that I have school, but finding time to sketch will teach me time management! I vote yes.

I was secretly hoping you'd say that. I have gotten terribly rusty... I havent drawn much since I had to leave this thread!

 

I'll reboot it properly sometime tomorrow. I got a bunch of homework to do so during one of my breaks I'll pop on here and get the ball rolling If you have an image in mind let me know! Otherwise I'll find one tomorrow when I get on.

 

Edit: restarting tomorrow instead of tonight because its 5:10am and I need to get a bit of sleep before I hit the books..
