You'd let someone like me who actually does like these games go without? HOW CRUEL!!!!

</obvious facetiousness and obnoxious way of telling people this can actually happen and I'm excited for it if it does>

Absolutely not. I cannot stand it when they re-release games with newer graphics. Final Fantasy 12 is my favorite, but I'm out going to go buying crappy copies of good games. :U

But consider that these are the international versions that never made it to the US in the first place so it's not JUST a graphical update. This is why these need to sell, to get the superior versions of the games to the US. If they were JUST graphical updates I wouldn't care about them having all of these games to begin with but the extra stuff I never had before, especially in FFXII, is what draws me.

Well then... that... may change something... what system would they be on? ( because I refuse to get ps4 or Xbox one)

Fine. :P I'll do it for you, because you made that song Hey Dovakhin. ;3

FFX and X-2 will be PS3 on one disc and then separately on Vita. FFXII will likely be the same, if not just PS3.

Unfortunately though you're thinking of the wrong person for Hey Dovakhin.

Why are you gonna refuse to get the PS4? It'll have Final Fantasy XV on it and Kingdom Hearts 3. D:

I know you didn't really do it. I was poking fun at your name. :P

Why? Because I don't like modern games very much at all. I really only play retro games for the most part. I have all play stations, and every Nintendo console besides Wii U. I don't need any more.

You and I think on totally different levels as far as gaming goes then. I follow RPGs and as long as there are RPGs I will play. Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 have ensured my purchase of a PS4. The Wii-U itself has like twenty games I want on it too. I always want new games. Gaming is my life.

How does it stack up in comparison to FF7? I haven't played any Final Fantasy released after that one, and it is one of my absolute favorite games. Branching out to some of the more modern games of the series seems like it'd be a pretty good experience, though I heard FF12 was pretty bad.

I tend to take the high road, get stoned, and fly low . . .

You'll hear a lot of mixed opinions and it more or less depends on what you're looking for in the game. FFXII changed the formula so drastically that people didn't like it as much or they fell absolutely in love with it. There is very, very little middleground. The battle system is largely automated but you control what characters do on a queue that you set up (like attacking nearest enemy, stealing if enemy has x amount of HP, using an item if a character is poisoned) so most of the game is more about your preparations than the battles themselves. With the right setup you can walk through most regular enemies, get tons of loot to sell and have enough money for decent equipment for each dungeon. The story is often argued to have the best dialog and story though the "main character" Vaan is usually one of the most hated protagonists in RPG history, at least until the sequel where he's far better written as a character.

FFXII has a very open world with lots of hidden areas for you to do sidequests in. Most sidequests involve hunting monsters but often have special requirements to find like only appearing in rainy seasons or only appearing when your Mist meter for your entire party is absolutely full, etc.

It's an INCREDIBLY deep game but it takes a little bit of investment to find how deep it is. One of peoples' main problems is that you have to unlock literally every ability in the License Board. You also have to unlock your weapons and armor on there too. Some consider this to be a little stupid and a waste of your License Points but it's really not that bad. If you stick with the same stuff for a couple dungeons you'll have enough LP to unlock your next equipment piece in no time.

The International version of the game changes things up by having twelve License Boards to use instead of just one for everyone. Once it's chosen for a character they cannot use a different one but it solidifies classes a little more since technically everyone in the party can be anything, you just have to choose that for yourself and go through the License Board with a specific build in mind.

I haven't really enjoyed any FF games since 2 because I hate the weird real-time/turn-based mixed combat. I'm EXTREMELY thrilled about FFXV because it looks like a real-time action game with Final Fantasy's art style.

I'd also be 134% in love with a Final Fantasy Tactics game on the Wii U that had a simplified isometric view on the game pad for a very practical display in the traditional isometric view and simple sprites, while the TV screen would be used for more detailed 3D graphics more in line with modern main-series titles. I would pay ALL THE MONEY for that.

But FFX and FFX-2... I rented both a while back and didn't like either one. I could give at least one a second chance to get more games for my Vita, though by this point it's really not struggling that much for great titles even if a lot of them are re-releases.
