  1. I noticed her hair and was like "man... I don't really like that hair" and promptly ignored her for the rest of the episode.
  2. Creed for me. They got back together for one album and a tour, but I think they split up again after that.
  3. Flim and Flam! You may have little to no chance at winning, but fight on!
  4. I prefer Elder Scrolls, but if Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 4 are the two options I'd probably lean more toward Fallout 4; ESO just doesn't really capture much of what I liked about the Elder Scrolls series, at least not from my time in the beta.
  5. I was kinda disappointed about the Nightmare Moon flashback. The first episode made it seem like there was a whole reign of terror and/or war going on before Celestia finally used the Elements. Now, it's possible that there was something to it before that, but it's weird that Luna would make a speech like that if it had started. I guess it might be that the flashback potion isn't 100% accurate, but it really just wasn't how I imagined that scene to be. Other than that, great episode, and now the writers don't have to think up some new reason the Mane 6 can't just use the Elements to solve every problem. By the way, does anybody have screenshots of Pinkie Pie's "frosting" faces?
  6. That's a little disappointing. Not bad, but I was hoping for something really cool. Still, Metagross is pretty awesome. I'd try to get a shiny one if the poke radar worked in friend safaris...
  7. I personally think shiny Metagross looks pretty cool, at least in previous generations (haven't seen one in X yet). Also, considering normal shiny Charizard's colors, I would be very interested to see what shiny Mega Charizard X looks like. Don't know if you actually have X, but if you do then that would be interesting.
  8. I think I've gotten flu shots before (usually at the same time as my sister since she gets sick a lot more easily than I do), but I haven't had one for several years and haven't gotten noticeably sick in recent memory so it's not worth the time and effort to go out of my way to get one. I've never heard of a flue shot before though, what does it do?
  9. Okay, so at least one person has been telling everybody to do the Looker side quest for a while, and I have to say... How the heck do I get the Looker side quest? I haven't the slightest idea, but everybody keeps saying how good it is...
  10. The spells are really fun, and Helltower removes some of the worst parts of Hightower (most notably, it's now moderately reasonable to spend less than an hour getting your cart through that uphill barn section), but mini sentries really are too good on it.
  11. I had to buy it... I couldn't risk it being only available temporarily and missing it, so I went ahead and spent the money on that. I mean, what's the alternative? A single key? I wish it weren't Halloween only though...
  12. I prefer the older games' supernatural quirk (the Magitama I think it was called?) over the weird, completely BS pseudo-science in Apollo Justice and the Sci-Fi thing in the new one (though I've only done the first case so far). The Psyche-locks (and a couple other things) were clearly supernatural, but that's fine; as a gameplay mechanic they kept to the core of "find contradictions, get information" just presented in a way that made you absolutely certain that THIS was the spot you should be focusing on during the slightly directionless investigation segments. Besides that, it never seemed like "nobody else could have possibly done this"; when it got used the person in question was usually pretty clearly hiding something already. The magic lie detector ring was just... look at the picture, then get more info! It didn't make sense when they tried to justify it in a non-supernatural way, and it didn't make sense when your wild declaration of being able to detect lies always worked. The weird emotions thing... Well, it looks a little more in-depth than just getting free information, but at the end of the day you just get extra information without needing to really put much effort into it. The Logic in Investigations was a cool concept, but often connections didn't work the way I expected them to (though that's not exactly that different from normal evidence-based activities) and I was looking forward to seeing how Logic Chess worked... but no, Japan only. Anyways, my favorite game is probably Investigations for having an overarching story between the cases, albeit a fairly tenuous connection between some of them and not a ton in the character-development department. Apollo Justice gets an honorable mention for having the best story, but it has the worst gameplay and most nonsensical explanations for some things. The original three are pretty even; the first one was a little rough around the edges, but the second one smoothed things out and the third didn't do much to improve on it.
  13. I've never heard of any point where pokemon you've caught yourself would stop listening to you, only traded ones (including ones traded from the NPCs). I do know from experience that the Mystery Gift pokemon DO count as traded; almost had a bad experience on the second gym with a level 31 Combusken...
  14. What are you talking about? I got Ampharosite before the fourth badge. I don't remember exactly where, but I know it was very recently and I just beat the fourth gym. ... Though that might be one of those things that's different between the versions, I'm playing X right now. Also, REAL SPOILER HERE. Not just condensing something so it doesn't take up as much space.
  15. You know what I found? Roggenrola horde battles. They are THE. WORST. POSSIBLE. THING. 5 pokemon with Sand Attack and Sturdy... WHY? On the plus side, horde battles involving both Zangoose and Seviper play out exactly how they should, i.e. they attack each other before bothering with you. Nice attention to detail there.
  16. I'm not sure if there are far too many clear references to Ruby and Sapphire to NOT indicate remakes in the near-ish future, or if I'm just missing references to other generations and R/S are mentioned in only similar quantities. Anyways, I'm still looking for a sixth pokemon to round out my team. I don't exactly think that I absolutely need to have it all figured out by now, but looking at the type charts made me realize that despite having 3 fire type pokemon I can actually end up having a pokemon which gets STAB with super effective attacks against every type in the game, as long as that sixth pokemon is Rock/Ground. Admittedly, I could also vary the other pokemon in my team (I have a plain grass for my fifth right now, and offensively dual types only get more STAB so I could switch it for something else), and like I said I could end up changing everything... Except keeping all three of the fire starters I already have, that's definitely not changing.
  17. I have to say... Horde battles against 5 pokemon that all know Sand Attack are really frustrating. Anyways, this is the first game where I'm actually aiming to catch ALL the Pokémon; normally I only catch ones I like unless I really need a certain type for a particular gym, but now that you can get all the EXP anyways I can catch everything and still train everything as well. And the new Experience distribution system makes leveling weaker pokemon go much faster, almost too fast considering I've got several level 20+ pokemon and wild pokemon are still below 12 (though I could go train some of the other pokemon I've caught instead of just my Charmeleon, Braixen, and Combusken).
  18. Maybe you can find them any time between 8pm and midnight (or something, it might go until 8am but the point is some period of time) but you can only COLLECT the ones you find if you find them immediately. Basically you'll go around finding the spots then need to remember them until the next day and grab all the ones you can in that one hour? I don't know, having such a restriction at all seems weird.
  19. Whenever a lawsuit gets filed it usually starts out absurdly high, but then it goes to court and ends up a lot lower. There's not really any penalty for it, and if your asking price is too low it will usually get awarded at that level rather than going up to what it should be, so that's how it goes.
  20. I like the Vinyl Scratch design more, but if it's just a custom design on normal headphones then you should find out what kind of headphones they started out as and compare reviews. The RD ones look like they could be official merchandise, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the hardware is better. They do look like they might fold up for travel convenience, if that's your thing. Also, if you were willing to spend a pretty significant price (the ones here look fairly cheap) V-Moda sells some really durable and still well-regarded for audio quality headphones with custom designs on the ear cups. $200-300 may be a bit much though, and if you have large ears I can say from experience that the lower-end options won't fit.
  21. I personally hated the Gen 5 battle style. It had tons of unnecessary zooming in and out, and everything went way too fast. But people are entitled to their own opinions.
  22. Well I accidentally saw the leaked final evolutions of the starters... I was trying to avoid spoilers, but that's not really easy. The image of Fennekin's final evolution doesn't look great, but I think part of it is just the lighting; it still won't be as cute as I was hoping, but I think it will be more elegant than it seems from that one image. Froakie's final form looks really... generic. Not like there's other pokemon already that look just like it, but there's just not much interesting to it. Chespin's final form is a BADASS and has sealed its place as my starter for Y. Fennekin will still be my starter for X (along with Charmander and the event Torchic) but Y is probably going to be Chespin, Squirtle... and still the event Torchic because Blaziken is awesome.
  23. For Gameplay, X and Y seem to be introducing the biggest changes to the main gameplay, and all positive from what I've seen. Excluding that, I'd go with R/S/E for the awesome Pokémon Contests, though B/W/2 had a couple extra battle modes and the poke-star theater stuff seemed pretty fun. For Story, I haven't played them but what I know about the Black and White story seems like it would involve much more interesting characters than just "LOL we're super selfish and want to control everything". D/P/Pt were also pretty interesting what with the gods and all. The music hasn't changed much over the series (other than going from MIDI beeps to recognizable instrumentation) so I have to give the most credit to the originals there. The best pokemon overall were in R/S/E, it has my absolute favorites and I can't really think of any I would consider bad or lazy. B/W/2 was the only generation I looked at and went "Wow... some of those are really ugly, and some of them are really lazy." Not all of them, but in other generations I liked pretty much ALL of the pokemon at least a little. Overall I liked R/S/E the best, especially since the pokemon are usually the biggest difference between generations, but X and Y are looking really good too.
  24. I mentioned this before, but I still don't believe that "leaked" chart showing which pokemon get mega evolutions. Maybe everyone else disagrees with my logic, or maybe they just haven't thought of it, but the chart includes Zangoose but not Seviper, when those two pokemon were clearly set up as rivals in their original games. Unless, maybe the leaked chart was for mega-evolutions in ONE of the games, while the other game gets a different set. We have seen quite a few game-differentiated mega-evolutions so that's a possibility.
  25. Fennekin, Charmander, Torchic. GET ON MY LEVEL. ... And make sure you only bring grass types when you get on my level, k? And no teaching them non-grass type moves.
