THE WILD HUNT

Recommended Posts

Draxius has become the source of the fear gripping the hearts of Tamriel's provinces, as have his accompanying generals who help enforce his rule. A powerful ruler and warrior, Draxius once wished to extend his reign far beyond his own region and to be seen as "the new god of mortals", and eventually his ambition drove him to contact the Daedric Lord of Power, Change, and Destruction... Mehrunes Dagon. Unfortunately for the rest of Tamriel, Dagon had long been planning to bring about the Oblivion Crisis once more to finally emerge fully in Tamriel. Seeing the ambition in Draxius, Mehrunes made the warrior his champion, granting him great power and leadership over his legions of dremora and creatures from his plane of the Badlands. Draxius was more than satisfied, and immediately summoned forth his armies of demons to sweep Tamriel with a cruel onslaught. It seemed as if no one would ever be able to stand up against Draxius...

To make matters worse, Mehrunes Dagon has sent his most powerful dremora to assist this terrible crisis. They are "aspects" of Dagon's power, spreading his influence in Tamriel further amd thus giving him power. They also serve as generals to Draxius, and preside over the conquered provinces of Tamriel.

The other Daedric Lords however, wanted nothing to do with Mehrunes and his champion. Whatever their reasons, whether it be prideful defiance to the growing power Dagon and the other Daedra or out of rare display of pity for mortals, these unallied Daedra called forth their own champions to stand against this rising terrible power...

A lone Altmer walked through the gates of the city of Solitude, one of the most prestigious places in the province of Skyrim. The elf was surprised to find the city relatively intact, albeit with certain newer additions than when he had last visited. Like many other places, the flag of the powerful tyrant Draxius now was raised high above the city, and several new structures had been raised in honor of him and his lord... Mehrunes Dagon, the structures showing a clear otherworldly design and giving off some sort of energy. Several of Draxius' troops patrolled the area, accompanied by the hideous dremora from Oblivion. Stygian could remember the beginning of Draxius' rule as if it were yesterday. A few years back, the tyrant had marched in with his armies of mortals and demons, boasting of his might and his already conquered provinces, as well of his lord, Mehrunes Dagon, whose influence was obvious on Draxius' person. The warriors of the other regions barely stood a chance, and the tyrant had conquered most of Tamriel, the most powerful demons of Mehrunes' realm being assigned to enforce Draxius' rule over each province. Shortly after his rise to power, Draxius had decreed for anyone showing some manner of exceptional ability to be kidnapped and either be integrated into his armies of slaves or be killed...

Stygian sat down at a table of the tavern, seemingly waiting for something. Another of the strange things that had happened after the rise of Draxius was the calling of "champions", by none other than the other Daedric Princes. Hermaeus Mora had called him years ago, but now the Daedra had instructed Stygian to seek out other champions. Being led to Solitude in hopes of finding another Champion, Stygian continued to wait for Hermaeus Mora's instructions...

Eos slipped the lockpick into the door, palms sweaty. Many stores had been shut down and deserted or destroyed since that demon weirdo had come along. Not that Eos was complaining-this was a massive stroke of luck for her, better than what Lady Nocturnal usually granted her.

A few jiggles more and the simple clasp came undone. Pleased with herself, she tested the door carefully. A high-pitched squeal emitted earlier than she had hoped and she winced, praying that a guard hadn't been alerted.

Since no one came running, she thanked her mistress and slipped inside, her dark armour almost melting her into the shadows she craved. The store didn't have great inventory, but there were a few cheaply crafted necklaces that she slipped into her pocket. They'd fetch an all right price.

A noise alerted her in the street and she heard a guard enter-she cursed silently, having forgotten to shut the door. How careless! How stupid! She must be out of touch.

She couldn't draw blade or bow without making a sound, and magic would be noisy-her only hope would be to slip away in the darkness.

As she tried to do so, she stepped on something that crunched-some leftover bread crust. The guard spun around and drew his blade, and, knowing she had no choice, Eos slung the bow from her back, drew, and fired.

She didn't hit his heart, but it was close enough, and he'd die in moments. However, this did give him a chance to cry out, and she sprinted, hearing the pounding of footsteps behind her. Luckily, her lighter armour gave her more dexterity, and she cast a rune onto the ground. Hearing the cries of her enemies as one unfortunate exploded into flame she laughed and slung into the street. They hadn't seen her face, only her back, and she threw herself into the tavern, running headlong into a table with a High Elf sitting at it. Ignoring this she stripped her armour off and stuffed it under the table, then sat down.

@

"Anyone asks and we're good friends, you hear?" she said kindly to the high elf, but she prodded his leg gently with the dagger to show she meant business. "I don't want any trouble here."

Draco yawned as he got up from the roof of the building he was sleeping on, twirling his trusty staff wabbajack while doing so. "Goood mooorning solitude!!" He yelled happily, as he teleported to a nearby building and began to play baseball, using wabbajack as a bat. When a local tried stopping him, he turned him into a mudcrab and punted him through a window, hearing a woman scream soon after. "Hehehe, goal!" He mumbled, as he continued down the road, skipping the whole time.

Out in the wilderness near Solitude a Argornian called Abraxus was just about to head there till he saw a few bounty hunters. "Well great...they still looking for me" Abraxus said as he ran to the gates into Solitude and ran to a bar. "Great now that those bounty hunters are still after me...all because I killed a few people"

((Forgot to mention he has a 3000 coin bounty on his head for killing almost everyone in town))

Rhaz-gesh grunted in boredem as he sat in a small tavern in solitude with his daedric helmet off, quitely drinking a bottle of wine, many of the locals were giving him dirty looks, but becouse of his appearence, none of them dared to say anything to anger him, a seven foot orc wearing daedric armor and weilding a large glowing hammer will do that. Rhaz sighed, he had come here becouse of his masters orders to find the other champions and stop that fiend draxuis, rhaz's thoughts were cut short as he noticed a female dunmer and male altmer sitting at a table, talking in hushed voices. Rhaz raised an eyebrow in amusement and walked over to the pair, before sitting down in a chair next to them, "when you don't want people to notice you, you should talk naturally, not hiss like a angery serpent..." said rhaz calmly.

"I didn't whisper, but I guess orcs are just so filthy they forget to clean the dirt out of their ears and go half deaf," replied Eos amiably. "So I suppose I can pardon you for barging in on our conversation, just this once." She smiled disarmingly, turning up the charm factor. While Orc weren't known for their sense of humour, Eos knew that she had the power of the shadows on her side, and had nothing to fear from this creature, despite the fearful looks locals gave him. She leaned back, sheathing her dagger. "So what do they call you? Wait, don't answer that, I'd have to smell your breath."

Rhaz merely sat his helmet on the rable and laughed, "you have guts girl, I think I like you! Not many of these spinless whelps would dare to even glace at me if they knew I was watching them! But it seems there is still bravery in this dying world of ours after all....my name is rhaz-gesh by the way, I am the chosen champion of lord malacath....and I'm here to find others like me to aid me in my cause....why are you here?" Asked rhaz quitely.

*A hooded stranger stepped into Solitude's tavern. His hood covered his face in shadows and strapped to his back was a long black curved sword. Upon stepping into the bar, several patrons turned and looked at him, but quickly looked away. Alzack got that a lot. No one seemed to look at him for long, he just gave off that sort of aura, one of someone you would want to avoid. Alzack walked over to the bar and bought a Black-Briar Ale, as per usual, and walked over to a secluded corner of the tavern, sat down at an empty table, and began to drink the alcohol.*

From the roof tops a black shadow could be seen moving from roof top to roof top. Zora took a job to hunt down a thief that was hiding out in Solitude. He moved around until he could see into his target's room the roof top. Taking a deep breath he pulled out his bow and took aim. Slowly lining up his shot he let go of his arrow. His prey fell with a single hit.

Zora let out a small yowl of hate. Zora loved to hunt and when he took this job he thought this job would prove more of a challenge since he was hunting a thief. Still he needed to collect the stolen wedding ring. He moved as quickly into the room and searched it until he found the ring.

"Uh this was to easy" He turned and saw his prey was still moving a little. Zora felt bad, he followed the hunter's code to make his prey's death quick and painless. Moving closer he pulled out his daggers and stabbed him in the throat. Getting up from the corpse he made a small thanks to Hircine. He heard noise from the door, Zora froze a little.

Moving as fast as he could he jumped down from the window and heard a scream coming from the room.

"Murder" screamed the voice. He could see guards moving around and saw some had some burn marks already he could see things were busy to day. He slipped into a bar and saw a lot of people here. He pulled up his hood and moved pass a table where he heard.

.my name is rhaz-gesh by the way, I am the chosen champion of lord malacath....and I'm here to find others like me to aid me in my cause....why are you here?"

"I'm sorry but did I hear what I just heard?" Zora had his hand on his dagger, just to be safe.

Stygian sat quietly as the events happened quickly before him. First a Dunmer runs into his table and begins to subtly threaten him, and all of a sudden a rather intimidating Orc wlks up and begins having a small argument with the Dark Elf. However, all this abnormality triggered something inside him, and Stygian again heard the voice of Hermaeus Mora.

"*Hold your anger champion.... these are a few of the wandering champions that have been fated to meet you...."

Acheron silently acknowledged the words, but nonetheless spawned a tendril from his strange robes to snatch away the knife and place it before the Dark Elf on the table.

"I think we could go off on better terms than what we're having now," Stygian said. "After all, we're not all that different...."

Abraxus casually walked on by till he heard a knock on the doors. "Why would the bounty hunters even kn-" Abraxus was cut off by a bounty hunter kicking the door in. "Looks like I'm not getting break any time soon" Abraxus said as he pulled out a bright glowing blade. "I am the champion of Meridia...you really want to mess with me" Abraxus said

@,

Zora clearly heard that. Moving his hands as fast as he could he through his dagger at the Bounty Hunter. The dagger found it's way into the Bounty hunter's arm. Pulling out his other dagger he tossed that at the Hunter, this one found it's way into his chest.

Still the bounty hunter was still standing. He Cursed him-self for failing to kill the hunter.

"Finish him" Said Zora to the Argornian.

"Unless you're like Chubbers here, I believe perhaps you did," said Eos. She shot a glance at Rhaz and narrowed her eyes. "Though that isn't information one should be throwing around. You never know who's listening, no?"

@

She snatched her knife off the table and stuck it back in its sheath. "Little boy shouldn't play with fire, he might get burned," she said in a playful warning tone, but her eyes were steely. She did not want his disgraceful touch to mar her blade, which she had sharpened and polished that morning. "Don't touch my stuff, or my stuff will touch you in places you wouldn't like." She flicked her eyes downwards and then up again as she made a chopping motion, and she smirked, crossing her arms.

Internally, she was roiling-if he was seeking champions and these others were as well, Lady Nocturnal must have had a hand in guiding her here. While she had complete trust in her lady, she wasn't entirely sure of these yet. Already her blade had been sullied by the unworthy.

Noting that everyone was touching their blades, she frowned. "Now, now, there is no need to get violent," she said. "Let's just take it nice and slow. Now, how about I buy you fine fellows some drinks?"

Standing up, she approached the bar, but trod on the edge of the cloak of a stranger.

@

She spun and smiled at him cutely. "Sorry there, partner. Hope I didn't cause you too much trouble," she said with a roguish wink. "These clumsy old feet of mine have a right mind of their own!"

A ball of fire formed in his hand and he shot it at the bounty hunter burning him into a pile of ash. "Hey thanks for the help" Abraxus said as he sheathed his sword. "My name is Abraxus who are you" Abraxus said looking at the person who just helped him out

Draco grinned as he teleported into the back of the tavern "these people are crazy for blurting out that kind of information without a second thought... I like them!" He said to himself happily, as he continued to twirl his staff. "I think I'll just observe for now, see what they can do..."

(I made a post about this in the OoC, I am Lord Loki/Apollo/GildaShy/etc. and this account is for use on my ipod.)

*Alzack looked up at the strange woman who had stepped on his cloak*

"It is fine, dont worry about it one bit."

*He said with a dull smile.*

:She seems pretty, you should talk to her.:

*Alzack ignored his mother's voice, sometimes it seemed like she wanted him to go into his blackouts, the ones that always ended in the deaths of his friends. Not this time, he had learned to not listen to his mother's social advice.*

Intrigued, Eos lingered, despite the fact that he didn't seem to want to talk. Something about his demeanor was strange, and she was a pushy girl.

"We're all in a group over there, would you like to join us?" she said coyly, leaning her elbows on the table. "I mean, I'm buying drinks...I see you've already got one, though, but that's no matter. I'm sure you're a man who can hold his ale." She smiled even wider and batted her eyes. "So, would you like to come on over?"

"Im, not exactly the most social of people."

*Alzack admitted.*

:Come child, there is no harm in having a few drinks with stranges, now is there?:

*Alzack's mother's voice whispered in his head. Alzack sighed.*

"But I guess there is no harm in a few drinks."

*Alzack admitted.*

"I never really have too many at once though. Most I have had in one night was probably three."

*Alzack lowered his hood, revealing his messy short hair, and the shoulder length braid in front of his right ear.*

"So, what are we drinking?"

"I'll do as I please Dunmer," Stygian told Eos as she continued to flaunt her attitude. "Especially when somebody believes they have the right to act so haughtily around me."

After that comment, the Dark Elf had offered to buy him and the Orc some drinks, obviously trying to turn the situation into a much nicer one. Stygian then turned to Rhaz-Gesh, who to him was foolishly announcing he status as a champion of a daedra. Stygian motioned for the Orc to come closer.

"It is foolish to so readily announce our true alleigances. Draxius will not be pleased to discover that he is not the only Daedric Champion anymore..."

Stygian began to feel the strange feeling stir up inside him again.

"More shall come," Hermaeus Mora whispered in his mind. "Hear me, you have already seen two of your budding allies, the Dunmer girl and Orsimer. A mongrel Redguard has now come into your midst, and soon Imperials, Khajiit, and an Argonian will come into your midst...."

@,

Zora grunted and pulled back his hood.

"I'm Dar Zora Jo'Zujia, but since I know Non-Khajit can't say it right. You can call me Zora. I serve Hircine as one of his hunters" He walked over to the burned corpse. Searching through the ashes he found his dagger. looking at them he had a good thought.

-I could enchant them to deal fire damage-

"So since we all serve you know what, why are we gathered here? I would like to believe at least one of you know" Zora didn't like to feel like he was a prey of a hunt.

I may only be a mortal orc warrior, but becouse of my master malacaths training, I have outgrown the feeling of fear.....even from things like giants, dragons, and even daedric princes themselves.....so forgive me if my words stirr the weakling workers of that fool, I will not speak outloud anymore....but I will not hold my hammer back if I see one of those weaklings..." said rhaz bravely.

Gildred arrived in Solitude after a full day of riding across the landscape of Skyrim. Namira was always sending her out doing things but this week she had simply nothing to do. She had taken this time to ride from her hovel in Winterhold to Solitude, the one city in Skyrim she actually enjoyed. It reminded her a bit of Cyrodiil, being under control of the Imperials and all. She was itching for some mead so she decided to enter the tavern. She chose a seat near a small group of people and bought some mead. She sipped her mead, glancing from time to time at the other people. She was a very wary person...

Stygian mentally facepalmed as he heard yet another claim of serving under a Daedric Prince. Didn't they know that Draxius had dremora on his side? Using his telekinetic magic spell, he quickly brought the two champions closer to his table.

"Forgive me if I am insulting your pride, but sometimes it is best to keep quiet. You may be champions to Daedric Princes, and you may be extremely powerful, but legions of dremora will not bode well for anyone..."

Stygian continued to whisper inconspicuously.

"The dremora are from Oblivion remember, they... will feel our presence if we stir too much..."

"Keep in mind champion that soon all of that infernal legion will be after you and your allies. It is wise however to avoid trouble when you can..."
