Cleo rolled her eyes. " At least we have some reinforcements now." She muttered. " Is this one of yours?" Cleo pointed a hoof at the hostage that they had

Cleo was about to ask about their hostage, when the mare poofed. She facehoofed.

Heartbeat took the scenic route back to the hideout. The others were waiting for her.

"I know where the newcomers are, they want to build up a settlement in the university. They shot up the place and are planning to hole up there. Get the other boys back and we can plan our next move"

The ponies dispersed to their tasks. Heartbeat went back up to her room and cracked open the new book.

"A is for Astronomy...." She ate some of the beans that the cook made as she started pouring into the physics of unicorn magic.

"I can set up a sniping position on the rooftops, my rifle can shoot through meters thick of concrete, I can use my heartbeat sensor spell to locate enemies behind walls and blast them through the walls, this counts for floors and ceilings too... fancy eh?" Blue put Acid down and budged the hostage forward "this one here was one of the bandits... I've taken her in as hostage... does this university have prison cells by any chance?" Blue jokingly asked

"hey thats the bandit that told us that this is a raider base, well its my base now! as for  cells...i dont know, just keep an eye on her, and careful with that rifle, i dont want to damage this place too much" he went back to reading a medical book, reading about spells to cure and heal wounds

Blue saluted and put the hostage down "ok you stay here.... actually... I don't trust you... Improvisation!" Blue cast a nature spell to entangle the mare's broken leg to the floor. "ok, this place is our fortress for now, might as well be useful around here" Blue levitated some furniture downstairs and pinned them to the doors.

Iris nodded to Lyona. "Hopefully they aren't in trouble." The unicorn sat by Lyona, using her magic to get a loaf of bread out of her saddlebag. Taking a bite, she said, "I wonder what they're doing right now..."

'Hopefully they're okay, I don't want a pony to teleport back covered in blood.' she thought, worried like her mother used to.

Heartbeat paced around the room thinking of what to do with the newcomers.

 

"They are indeed strong, a bit big headed, and definitely capable of causing trouble." Heart lit another cigarette and levitated a book over to her. "Sun-Pony's Art of War. A classic.

Chapter one

To gauge the outcome of war we must compare the two sides by assessing their relative strengths. This is to ask the following questions:

 

Which commander has soldier's willing to die for him?

"I'm not sure how loyal they are to each other, I could use that against them"

Which commander has the greater ability?

"That's the ticket, who is the leader of this group? Do they know how to win battles?"

Which side has the advantages of climate and terrain?

"That's easy, we know the terrain and the layout of the city. That one stallion might also know it as well. Obviously we neither have the advantage with the weather.

Which army follows regulations and obeys orders more strictly?

"... Maybe we could use some more control on raids and scavenging. These ponies might be more connected, and work better together. We need to be more disciplined."

Which army has superior strength?

"We have the numbers, but I saw what kind of heat they have, that one who walked in when I left had a bucking cannon of a rifle. Also no telling what they have for magic abilities."

Whose officers and ponies are better trained?

"Another unknown. I know Straight's background, but all those others I can't tell what kind of training they have. Were they military? How many years of magic training have the unicorns gone through? It's all unknown."

Which side is more strict and impartial in meting out rewards and punishments?

"That is something I need to work on, my ponies are raiding and looting and there is no regulation of what goes where, no rations, no distribution."

 

It was the end of the questions. Flipping through the pages for more info, a quote stuck out to Heartbeat

"dorms are where ponies stay while they attend university, depending on your grade level and which package you bought, dorms range from a large room that consist of 2 beds that can be stacked on top of each other, or a room with 2 small rooms that function as bed rooms, and theres a set of dorms that are apartment style, the closest ones to us are the smallest ones, ones with a large room and 2 beds, but we can pick a room to stay in tommarow im heading to the closest ones because im tired..."

" Hurry up, then! I need to sleep, too. Find the nearest one with two beds." Cleo took a moment to yawn, her legs wobbling a little as she did. I haven't slept at all last night, with Red dying and the bandits attacking... Sheesh, a lot has happened since I arrived in Ponyville.

"we are almost there" they soon arrived at the building, johnny walked inside then entered the nearest dorm room it was a single room, with a bathroom that connected to another room, 2 chairs were positioned in front of a TV and various other things were strewn about, at the back wall was a bunk bed, johnny levitated his backs off and put them in a corner "we got a bunk bed, top or bottom?"

Cleo had already placed her things with Johnny's and climbed the ladder to the top bunk.

 

" I think you know my answer." She called, before burying her face in the pillow. It's been ages since I've slept in a proper bed... This feels like heaven. Cleo grabbed the blanket and covered herself quickly, instantly feeling warm. Enchanted blankets too... Within a few moments, she was asleep.

Johnny pulled off his gasmask and put them with his things, he took a large breath, it had been over a day since he took it off, it felt like a relief, he laid in the bed with a relaxed sigh, he floated over another full carrot and and ate the whole thing,  he levitated the door close and locked it, he then fell asleep

((Well... I is back as you probably know from the OC thread. The thing is, that I'm going on a vacation on Monday. I broke a bone or so... also I have no idea what's going on ))

 

Acid carried a cupbboard infront of a door and then started to check out the dorms.

Meanwhile, a silouette sighed and dissapeared.

He reappeared infront of Steel.

"They got the universit- who the hell are these guys?"

Steel smirked at him. There were a dozen of ponies infront the two.

"Oh these? These ponies will help us. Welcome the new friends!" He laughed.

"Anyway... what were you saying about the university?"

"The train ponies got it!"

Steel thought for a second.

"Well... if there's food then not alot. We got everything out of there, right? They gotta leave the place sooner or later... we got them surrounded. And if they're gone..." He smirked.

"Then there's only Heartbeat left."

Blue went into a dormroom and shoved the hostage in "This is you temporary home... enjoy your stay.... we left some dust on your bed as a guest's complimentary treat" Blue closed the door and locked it "She cant use the window... her broken leg wont make the fall"

Blue made his way down the hallway to find a room to call home but was interrupted by a crackle from his bag

"cccckkkk....Fluro, we're her, over" Blue recognized that voice and pulled his radio out of his bag

"I'm here! this is Fluro.... what the hell took you so long?" Blue was excited, its the first time in years since the radio worked

The mare tried the door.

"Even if I would get out, they would get me. Unless..."

Raze, traveling alone, finally made it to the university that he had heard about from Johnny

 

Well, I'm finally here, he thought to himself while breathing a sigh of relief. Now... where might the rest of the group be inside this building? He started walking towards the entrance.

Cherry woke up in the dormitory she called home after hearing noises from outside. Not good. A while ago she could remember if she woke up and heard a noise, she'd dismiss it and go back to bed. Not anymore. "Oh god, what do I do?" she thought to herself. She looked over at her so called defence: An old machete she scavenged from EverFree a few years back and a Smith and Wesson from her best frie...

 

"The past is behind me." She reminded herself. Her memories were filled with horrors which she'd rather ignore than accept to have happened. 

 

Never mind about that. She needed to find out where these noises were coming from so she could sleep. She left her dormitory with her revolver and machete and a flashlight to hear the sound of a pony talking to a radio. "I hope they're friendly."

Blue tapped his radio but only received the sound of static. "I was so close... *sigh*" Blue picked up his radio and made his way down the hallway looking for a nice room to call home, "home... its out there... they just gotta find me" Blue found a nice room... dusty and cold but better than nothing, Blue put his bag down and leaned his rifle on the wall "The view is beautiful from here" Blue stared at the frozen landscape from his window and pulled out his sleeping blanket and placed it over the bed "its been a while since we had beds"
