movies/tv Things You Would Change In WWE

Phase out the name Diva for the female wrestlers, as that title carries with it a negative connotation. Have the next divas champion drop that hideous championship belt into the trash and bring out either the new wwe female athletes championship or just reinstate the womens championship. Next step would be to phase out the current womens roster, either firing most of them or regulating them to manager roles. Hire a bunch of female wrestlers from the independent scene or Japan and let them wrestle the guys occasionally.

Scale back the duties of the writing staff. Make them limit the scripts to bullet points and let the wrestlers put their own spin on the promos. Either they sink or they swim base on their own promo abilities. If a guy stumbles and stutters over his promo, them maybe let his moves do the talking. If the guy happens to be artistic and creative with their speech, let them roll with it.

Change the arena and stage lay out. Change the light rigging above the ring to the set used during 2005 and prior. That made the lighting effects rather cool. Reformat the HD stage, as it looks rather bland. For Raw, surround the screen with light trusses and steel girders to make it look closer to the older set designs. For smackdown, bring back the giant fist and put it next to the screen somewhere.

All the championships need to be defended more frequently. Wwe has 3 shows for a total of 6 hours a week of television. A title defense for the main event a week is not unreasonable.

And speaking of 6 hours of TV a week, that is pelt of time to give the rest of the roster the spotlight. Put the guys on a rotating schedule. Have a certain set of guys 1 week or for one show, and give another set of guys time thew next week. If you're not going to highlight them, why even pay to have them with the company?

More focus on tag teams. Tag team wrestling can be and is quite entertaining outside of the E. No excuse for the wwe not keeping up.

Change the format of the show. Scale back on the promos and video packages. Have faith that your audience has watched last weeks show. We don't need 30 minutes worth of recaps. Your pretty much telling fans that there's no need to watch this weeks show since we'll tell you all about it next week. Have fewer matches, so that way there is more time for each match. Or even better, go old school and institute time limits. Open the show with a match, close the show with a match. The big promos can come right after and just before.

Co-promotion wouldn't hurt and get rid of wwe's presumptuous elitist stance. Hold interantional shows with Mexico's AAA or EMLL promotions or hold matches across the pacific with NJPW like back in the 90s.  Promoting Indy federations like PWG or Chikara would help those companies big time or holding shows with ROH could elevate that company the same way the WWF/ECW partnership did. And of course wwe could fulfill some dream matches and challenge it's rivals in TNA wrestling.

De-title The Shield, then disband them shortly thereafter, so that each individual (ex-)member can develop fresh on his own (I'm not doubting their skills, just their team gimmick (IT'S BUCKING MONOTONOUS; YOU COULD RENAME RAW AND/OR SMACKDOWN "GROUNDHOG DAY: THE SHIELD EDITION"!!!)).
