Anypony still play the game? Demon's Souls is fantastic for a game released in 2009/2010 in Japan, North Amrica and in Europe. It's also pretty awesome that online multiplayer is still going strong, especially with messages and bloodstains that serves as both advices and warnings. The story is pretty fascinating and the character customization is spot on, as well as its dark nature (since Demon's Souls is in a dark fantasy universe). Also, the weapons and items are quite useful if at the hands of skilled players, and even though enemies tend to be very tough and unpredictable to defeat, even the most strongest enemies have their strongest offsets in terms of weakness. 

 

Normally, you start off in the Boletarian Palace from the story, as well as different buildings to face off against foes and defeat them with strong weapons, including spells and miracles, especially bosses. And yes, while there are RPG elements to Demon's Souls, it also contains action to combat enemies, unlike in Final Fantasy (in my opinion). If you don't have the game with PS+, you can get it at the store at a reasonably cheap price. You won't regret it, RPG/Action fans.

I haven't played Demon's Souls since I only have an xbox, but its successor, Dark Souls, is probably the best game I've played in two or three years. If Demon's Souls is on ps+ for ps4 It will be the first game I get.

Aaaah, Demon's Souls, I had good memories with it...and by that I mean Flamefucker going apeshit on me because I was a melee character.

God I remember when I first bought Demon's Souls. I couldn't buy it at any store around here so had to order it on. No regrets with how much I payed for it cause it was SO worth it. Flamelurker was like one of the easiest bosses for me. I had a hell of a time with the Dragon God. Out of all the hours I have invested, about half is probably ALONE on the Dragon God  . 

 

I used to love my old character. He was a melee only character with the Old King armor, Tower Shield, and Dragon Halberd +5.

That franchise that I'll never beat a game in but I play anyway cuz I like playing them but suck sooooooooo much at them.

 

I think they have amazing design choices but I have reservations about the lack of an actual pause button, ability to manually decide who you play with online and such. Intentional design or not I don't like it.

Haha yeah i've gotten screwed over lots of times because of the fact that you're always online. At this point it doesn't bother me though. The part about there bein' no pause, yeah that's intentional. Just to make the game THAT much harder for you.

Unfortunately I gave up pretty early in Demon's Souls.... Though it was a fun game, I got too angry with it. First warning shoulda been when the guy at Gamestop warned me... Kinda kicking myself for selling it back though.

 

On the other hand, Dark Souls is such a great(And slightly more fair) version.

I don't see how Dark Souls is any more fair except for the fact that there's only an equip burden instead of an item burden as well.

 

Ultimtaely the two play pretty much exactly the same but Dark Souls has a few tweaks to it.

Dark Souls is a more refined game over Demon's Souls, they also don't have all these extras like black phantoms if you die in human form too many times, world tendancy, "SURPRISE BITCH!" mages, and a lot less annoying ass placements of enemies. THOSE are the only reasons I can think of at the moment why it's easier. 

 

And Beau,  I swear every boss I find hard you find easy and vice versa, WHAT IS THIS LOGIC!?

 That's because i'm so used to doing things the hard way, that when it comes to bosses in video games I always have an easier time with the more difficult bosses. Sadly when it comes to the easiest, I just get my ass handed to me every single time.
