applejock 358 July 9, 2013 #1 Share July 9, 2013 Now, while i am a huuuuge fan of the duel-rule of the two Sisters. Is it not odd to anyone else, the other two Alicorns, (twilight soon to be of course, perhaps) have the're own Kingdom? Crystal Empire aside, is there not a place or land for Luna to rule? On to more (hinted at) details from the actual show. Luna has been exhiled for 1k years, she is out of place, out of touch and is being re-introduced by Celestia, a bit slowly. Not to mention most of Equestria clearly is trying to get over there fears of her (ala Nightmare Night) and it gives a foil for Tia and Twilight. I just find it odd she really is so...well, meek to stay under her Sisters shadow. She has a Royal Guard of her own, and is clearly powerful enough to command, and protect her own land. Is is just because her element is Night/moon/stars? While Candy is ALL of love? Why then is Tia so powerful, as hers is only Day/Sun?And what of Twilight, just because her influence is all of Magic yet she has no land of her own but clearly outshines Luna? I am not trying to throw stones, or fan-fav up Luna by any means, she does have a large Fan base of course, yet is she just destined to be "the younger Sister"? ---> Here be Fabulous Mare! <--- There be Brony! ***Fear the Hater, for they are out to taint your Perfection. WonderColt 23 July 9, 2013 #2 Share July 9, 2013 There is a major flaw in your argument. Luna rules the whole of Equestria along with Celestia. Pretty sure ruling the whole world is better then just one kingdom.
Dark Horn 430 July 9, 2013 #3 Share July 9, 2013 Celestia rules during the daytime - Luna rules at night. I think you're right, and Luna's only destiny is to be the little, inferior sister forever. Scootalove 10,689 July 9, 2013 #4 Share July 9, 2013 Well, Luna does rule with Celestia in Canterlot or at least all of Equestria. Luna rules at night while, Celestia rules in the daytime. 1 Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
Fhaolan 4,484 July 9, 2013 #5 Share July 9, 2013 Having two co-rulers isn't that bizarre in real life. In fact, there's a country right now that is ruled by two equal princes: Andorra.
ReverseFaller 2,484 July 10, 2013 #6 Share July 10, 2013 Luna ruling at night is better than nothing at all. At least Luna doesn't seem like a Mary Sue, while her sister does. I think Luna needs more screen time too, that'd be nice. 1 Credit for the signature goes to Kyoshi
Cwanky 17,602 July 10, 2013 #7 Share July 10, 2013 Aside from the obvious fact that Luna rules the night, she apparently also has dominion over the subconscious of dreams, at least at night. All said, the ability to preside over anyone's dreams is a pretty useful and powerful one. Plus it would make for one excellent Inception spinoff spoof. Forlong 1,726 July 10, 2013 #8 Share July 10, 2013 In the comics, it is revealed that she rules over the moon. And it's not like she's alone up there. The moon is inhabitted by creatures that look like the shadows from "Persona". Wait, no one is going to get that reference! Er...the smoke monster from Lost. That's what they look like. kirbyboi 588 July 10, 2013 #9 Share July 10, 2013 Think of her as a vice president...but with a much bigger role than that. She guards the whole night by herself, and Celestia guards the daytime by herself. So in a way they each do rule their own 'section'. But they rule Equestria together, so I think Luna has a pretty big part to play as well, along with guarding the whole nighttime. Plus, she's in charge of dreams/nightmares, right? So that's another area she rules in. :3 So she has her own 'kingdom' and 'area' in which she rules.
RrVPfX9cPtw59FpC 1,304 August 1, 2013 #10 Share August 1, 2013 Well, I like the idea of them ruling together, but that just brings up the question of what Twilight is going to rule now. Will she rule day, and Luna night? I doubt that Celestia would force Luna out of being a princess... This signature was removed for being too obnoxious and arrogant. -Makusu2 By the way, if you're talking to me in a thread, please quote my previous post. Otherwise, I might not respond to you. Nomadic 210 August 1, 2013 #11 Share August 1, 2013 I always thought of that she ruled Equestria during night, while Celestia ruled during the day. I think the real question should be why is Luna so comparatively smaller than Celestia. You think Luna would of grown to roughly match her sister's height in that 1000 years of being locked away.
