If I was writing a story, I would have Caramel be captured by the zebras who were hunting Starburst, he then goes and saves Caramel from them by killing them all, then Starburst gets shot, fatally injured, then he spends his last few minutes looking at the sunset with Caramel and dying in her arms, good ending,huh?

Well, that would be a neutral ending. I would have a good and a bad ending, good being Starburst surviving the encounter, and the bad one being Caramel gets executed and Starburst is forced to watch before getting his throat cut.
