The Trotting Dead RP

[Solana 2]

Solana is quiet as she moves about the streets, eyes cautious and skittish. Her hooves are quiet on the streets as she moves about the thinned crowd of trotters. The lanky filly breathes heavily, the sound trembling. Though she seemed to be passing through the streets with little notice from the trotters, she is obviously still on edge. What she is doing that requires a fast pace and a hurried expression is left uncertain. But the filly's expression tells of urgency. When a violent storm of sputtering dust comes flying through the streets, she pauses in her walking, eyes confused- what in Equestria could be the source of that? Slinking to hide behind a cart, the young filly watches as a red pony comes tumbling out of the dust. Blinking, she waits, and stares. This pony has fluffy, curly cream hair. Solana's never quite seen something like that on a pony before!

Boom! Carrick didn't remember much of what happen. First, he was sky high in the dust cloud. Feeling the unpleasantries of dust all over his body, the trip was fine...until some pony couldn't handle their magic. The next thing the detective knew. He flew right out of the cloud and into a roof. His eyes slowly opening, as he saw the calming skies. Though he didn't feel the pain of hitting a roof at the speed he was in. He felt the aftereffects.  The aches of his hind leg and back were strong. He got himself up, feeling the trenchcoat was still on him, but his saddlebags were gone. He looked around. Must've flew off when I fell down. He grunted as he felt the small hunger appear. That saddlebags has a few days of food and water. I better go find it. 

 

The earth pony pulled himself off the small rubble and climbed the hole of the rooftop. He was able to get a higher view. He turned to see the hole he created. From the angle of it, probably means the saddlebags went up north. Probably hitting a rooftop or street. Carrick decided to start roof-hopping. As he took leap off his first rooftop. He grunted, knowing full well this was going to be a hard trek...

[Grand_Finale 529]

Grand began to walk down the street, limping due to the twisted mechanical leg. "hello?" she said in a hushed tone. She knew Manehattan was overrun, and didnt want to attract the trotters attention. " Is anypony there?" she passed by a cart and nearly jumped out of her skin as a little filly... zebra? was behind it. "My goodnes,, what on earht is a little thing like you doing out here all alone?" she said, looking for trotters. " lets get you out of here" she said pushing the zebra into the nearest building

((I'm just going to guess that the time there is about 3pm. Also though I should say that alesiar has the ability to talk still, and is still partly in control over mind. Somtimes she may attack, other times she may not. Just a heads up.))

 

Alesiar was in the ruins of the once large and great buildings protecting herself from the light by sticking to the shadows. She had seen the dust cloud move over manehatten, and she wanted to find it, but she could not due to the sun being out. So she stood there and waited for night fall to come.

When Fire Horn came to, he was on a building rooftop, he could hear someone talking, to him.

 

"Daddy" "Daddy, wake up."

 

Fire Horn opened his eyes, everyone was gone, they must have gotten scattered.
"I'm sorry, Daddy, i tried to control it, but i  just couldn't this is all my fault." Fire Horn pat Starburst's horn.

"Don't worry, we'll find them, we just need to get our bearings." Fire Horn said.

[Solana 2]

"Hey!" Solana exclaims in a whisper- after all, the filly doesn't want to attract attention to them. Trying to dig her hooves into the streets, she pins her ears back before carrying on; "Look, I don't know who you think you are, red, but I ain't going in that building!" She is, however, still much smaller than the pony and much weaker. So of course, she continues being pushed despite her fussing over it.

Before he knew it, Ghost was separated from the other survivors. "Grand? Carrick? Fire Horn?" Ghost then ran up to the nearest building and started running along the rooftops. He searched frantically for his friends. He then looked down and saw a small zebra and... Grand!

[Grand_Finale 529]

"my, you arent exactly the most well behaved little filly now are you" she said, finally pushing her into the building. "If you would prefer to go out there and be eaten then be my guest" she said in a hushed tone. "Now, if it were up to me, I wouldnt even be here. I lost my group in a magic accident." she said, peeking her head out of the door, seeing if by any chance her group could be seen, but Manehattan was huge, and it was doubtful they would be meeting up any time soon.

The sounds of the undead are close by. You could hear them trotting along the streets. Carrick took another leap onto a rooftop, feeling the grasp of pain once more. He grunted, but held his breath. He saw the next rooftop. He wouldn't be able to leap on this one. No sign of the saddlebags here. Carrick looked up and rubbed his chin. I'll probably have to go down from here and climb the building from the inside. The earth pony looked down to see Grand Finale and some...fily. Well, that's convenient. Carrick took a leap down and grunted again. Feeling the agonizing pain of gravity. "Hey, Grand. Have you seen the others? and....um who are you?" He asked.

Ghost jumped down to Grand's side "There you are, Grand! I've been looking for you!" Ghost then walks over to the small zebra and kneels down to her. "What's someone so small and young like you doing around here? Do you have a family? A mother or a father to go to?"

"dont get too close, she might attack" she said with a huff. " i suppose we werent blasted too far away from eachother after all!" she said, happy to see at least part of her group. "wheres Fire and Starburst?" she asked, looking int othe streets again. "are they alright?"

"Hard to tell." Carrick replied, "Last thing I remember was hitting a rooftop and losing my saddlebags. Though if we're all close together, than they shouldn't be far too behind." Carrick deduced. It was pretty easy finding Grand Finale and Ghost. It shouldn't be hard finding those two as well. Though...from the sounds that hear climbing those rooftops...They could be in trouble. 

[Solana 2]

Solana's mouth is open and a rather matter-of-fact look is upon her features. It's more than obvious she has a sassy comment ready to use until the new pony shows up. Her pinned ears press further back as she watches them converse, an uneasy look. "Solana." Is what she meekly replies to the rather intimidating- at least, in her eyes- earth pony. From there, she continues to be quiet while half hiding behind the curly tail of the red pony who'd pushed her in here.

"damnit, My magic isnt gonna be able to work for a few mor hours, im bucking defenseless!" she said "theres no way im gonna be any use out there. Im sorry but ill wait here, maybe theyll find me. Im just walking bait right now" she said and looked at the zebra. " ill stay here with her"

Carrick turned to Ghost. "No used in panicking now. We just create a perimeter of the situation and go from there." Carrick deduced.

 

"Oh, hi." He stopped, seeing that the filly was afraid of him. He assumed it would be better not to scare her more. 

 

"Staying in the middle of a main road is a bad idea." Carrick commented. "If anything, we should take to the rooftops. Should give us a better vantage point. I'm going inside and going on the rooftop each way. I need the supplies and my saddlebags should be around here somewhere. Anypony who doesn't have strength to fight should follow."

Tempest noticed Fire Horn and Starburst and Dark flew next to the building. "Hey. Need a ride?" He asked, smiling slightly.The cyan pegesus then shrugged. "Anyway, are there any other survivors here?" Tempest then stretched out a hoof so that they could get on one at a time.

Grand obeyed and began to follow the former detective. "We need to find that incantation as soon as possible, lets not forget that" she said, climbing the stairs to the rooftop. "We dont wanna know what happened in three days.we need to get back to trottingham and get Lady and Zeta as well. This is a quick mission, understand?""

Ghost nodded. He gave Grand his boa staff. "I'll fair in hand-to-hand combat. You need my staff for now." Ghost ran up the buildings and began to parkour across the buildings. As he ran, he kept his eyes peeled for the missing ponies. He couldn't let them die. Not here in this cold, ruined city.

Fire Horn noticed Tempest over-head, he was confused.

"Tempest, what in Celestia's flowing strangely-colored mane are you doing here?" Fire Horn asked.

Starburst came back to the building. "I can't find anyone, we're completely cut off from them." He said. Bringing Starburst was starting to seem like a bad idea.

"Yes, mademoiselle. I wouldn't want to stay looking around for my saddlebags, but if you ponies don't have any food and water. Seems like it will be our best interest to find it and look for the others as well." Carrick replied, as he reached the top of the building. He felt a strange presence in here. His detective senses were tingling. He took a bit of caution as he heard grunting sounds near the building. "I fear that if we stay here any longer...they will come."  His said, his ear twitches. His adrenaline cutting off his pain now. He fears that battle might befall him yet again...

Ghost tried to focus on what he came to do; get to Zycrin's old hideout and cure the sword. Ghost jumped down into the darkness of an alleyway and found the grate entrance into the hideout. He entered and found all of Zycrin's old data. Successful contracts, personal history, and a database full of all kinds of spells and conjurations. "Now all I need to do is find the right spell."

[Solana 2]

Solana looks between the group, large blue eyes following after them. Hesitating after a moment, the filly starts to follow after the detective. "So... How did you lot get here, anyways?" She asks, ears perking up. It seems as though what ever initial fear she had has dissipated to the point of being friendly. The young zebra is curious in face and attentive by habit. Trotters are dotted all over the place- it should be no surprise if they arrive shortly.

Grand climbed onto the roof and looked down, only to see trotters swarming. " How did they find us already?" she yelled, looking to Carrick. "we have to go now!" she said, looking for a way out. the only path she could see was a roof that was quite a jump down. "well, ladies first" she said, pulling the filly onto her back and jumping. she landed on the roof and stumbled, the leg causing her to tumble and crash into the railing

Tempest shrugged. "Let's just say that things didn't exactly work out at the other town." He said.

 

Dark rolled her eyes. "He means that he doesn't like to listen to any authority aside from Luna." She said.

 

The cyan pegesus facehoofed. "As for the others, they should be on the ground. I can sense their aura's in a few of the buildings."

[Solana 2]

Solana starts screaming before it breaks into a laughter. Her hooves are wrapped about the red's neck, a grin on her face. Okay, so maybe this pony was pretty cool. She just leapt off of a building with little regard of the distance! As they land, Solana lets go and bounces about her. "Wow! That was super awesome cool! We were like, flying and didn't even get hurt! Wait. You didn't get hurt, did you?" The filly asks, blue orbs now suddenly worried as she comes to a stop in front of the curly pony.
