"Sure! That sounds fun!" Bubble answered happily: the plan could wait, she supposed. She never had a timescale for it anyway.

 

"Are you okay today? Last night you were a bit... Woozy." She asked with genuine concern: she might have field at the time but she couldn't stand the thought of somepony getting hurt!

Lightning groaned as he woke up. "What the flip...what time is it?" He asked himself, unable to see anything. He opened his eyes more and saw that it was day. He sighed and gently flew down from his cloud, which was strangely shrinking. He landed and started to walk. "Where is..." a pony barged into him, knocking him over. "...everypony."

Sunny looked at the menu and nodded. "I think I'll have that too," she said, and looked up after registering the enthusiasm in Candy's voice. She giggled as Candy spoke again and tried to tone down her big grin.

"It's alright, but I can't say I've ever seen somepony get so excited over a salad and apple juice," she teased, grinning back.

She knew the real reason for the grin, of course; she was equally ecstatic about the same thing, she just seemed to be better at keeping calm. Not that she minded; Candy's excitement and slightly dorky grin made her that much cuter.

"It's alright, but I can't say I've ever seen somepony get so excited over a salad and apple juice," she teased, grinning back.

 

 

The tease went right over Candy's head, but she still giggled at what Sunny said. 

 

"No, silly! So, the same thing for breakfast as me, huh? Hope you're not hungry after this." She chuckled, "I'd love to 'borrow your brush' again later." She winked with a huge, cheeky grin.

Bass simply continued his smile in response to the stallion's statement as the began their way to the cafe for Kaz's frap. This whole time, Bass was still unaware of Kaz's new-found dependence on him financially... As a matter of fact, he didn't even remember if he knew what Kaz did for a living, and all the stress from the early morning had kept him from bringing it up, but with a whole day to be spent together, it was bound to come up in conversation eventually. And so, they made their way down the busy early morning streets of Baltimare, simply enjoying being in each other's company as they went.

 

"So, urm... What are we going to do when you like... Tour?" Kaz spoke softly, hoping for a positive answer as they walked down the street together. The streets were bustling with ponies rushing here, there and everywhere but Kaz didn't have to worry about this anymore. For the first time in a long time, Kaz could just relax in the company of his special somepony.

"So, urm... What are we going to do when you like... Tour?" Kaz spoke softly, hoping for a positive answer as they walked down the street together. After tonight's show, I don't have anything scheduled. That's because of the record label. The producer told me I can choose to produce from wherever I want, as long as I fill my obligationsm, and that I won't be scheduling any shows for at least a couple months. Which means, I suppose.... perhaps, I might just stay here in Baltimare." At that last sentence, his kind smile turned into a sly grin, hoping Kaz would appreciated his playful disposition.

Well, maybe in some time we could go travelling. I sure would like to settle in somewhere though... The excitement from the white stallion was reassuring, to say the least. Bass then simply held his smile as they entered the warm cafe. Just then, he realized how close he was standing to Kaz with all these other ponies around, and that made him a bit uneasy. He edged a bit away from his 'secret' partner and adjusted his expression to attempt to not seem suspicious to the other ponies, some of which he met yesterday.

Sunny laughed. "I don't remember you borrowing my brush in the first place. Good thing your mane still looks good even with bedhead." she smiled. She blushed a bit as she realized she had just told Candy her mane was pretty, but seeing as they'd told each other they thought the other was cute, and it had been received well on both ends, she doubted Candy would object. Besides, it was true; Candy still looked as gorgeous with bedhead as she did without it.

"Oooh...you should've thought of that this morning, Candy."

 

In a sort of silent way, though, that's all Candy had been thinking about...everything about Sunny.

 

"You-you can't be serious though...can you? I still can't fathom how anyone finds me good-looking in any way." Candy looked down, coming to the realization that in her own opinion, she didn't exactly fit into the beauty department. "You sure do." She spoke out loud, a moment too soon, before she could cover her mouth. Her blush became considerably redder.

The restoration the locomotive was going smoothly; aside from the train being so tender (no pun intended).  Rut-Light was working on finding the broken pieces that No.8 was missing; a regulator, a piece of the guard rail and the most important part of any locomotive; the whistle.  He was looking around the train itself to check if any of the parts where around, then he spotted a long rectangular piece of red rusted steel, upon closer inspection he noticed it to be a train regulator.  "Well, time to make a pile for the missing parts then find the others."  He picked up the steel piece and headed off to find the others.

After sleeping soundly on the top of a tree, Starshine was roughly awaken by a particularly loud yodeling cat. Not that he could say anything about it, he had overslept, and the park was overrun by ponies, some of which had noticed a sleeping colt on a tree. Groggily Starshine cast a teleport spell to get away from everything.

 

...and promptly fell into the river. The time his body hit the water, he had somberly  realized teleporting while half asleep was not the best idea. He gasped for air and screamed, "Bloody hell!" while ineffectually trying to paddle his way to the shore.

I wandered to the river, sighing. What does it take to be loved here... I then saw a unicorn trying to swim for shore. "I-I..." I couldn't find the words, so instead I flew to the edge of the water.

"H-HEY!" I yelled out to the stallion. I started flying across the river, but then a wave hit me and I went under. I paddled up to no avail. My parents didn't take the time to teach me how to swim, and I feared big ponds or rivers...I finally paddled up, blushing as I tried to stay afloat. "I-I guess we're both stuck....here..." I giggled, swallowing a bit of water. "Y-You're a unicorn! Teleport us out of here! I-If you can..."

There was a pegasus went to Starshine's location, seemingly trying to help, but soon claimed by the river. If he was not trying to stay afloat Starshine would've rolled his eyes.

 

 

 

"Y-You're a unicorn! Teleport us out of here! I-If you can..."

 

"Well duh-" Starshine sank momentarily, before emerging back to the surface. "If you can't swim, why are you here anyway?" he asked, frustration was clear in his voice. His saddlebag was pulling him under, the rough fabric nearly doubled in weight due to the water, and the many contents weren't helping either. He knew teleportation, but if the previous attempt was of any indication, attempting it again wouldn't give the best result. A sharp pain stung inside his brain.

 

Buck this. Starshine took a deep breath and dived into the river. It was rather deep, he wouldn't be able to get to the bottom of the river in time. Just below the surface should do, now without having to paddle like a dying pup he would be able to concentrate more. With great effort he channeled his magic, grabbed the pegasus from earlier, and teleported both of them to the shore. He didn't care which side, as long as it was dry ground. With a blink of blue light both ponies disappeared and appeared on the northern side of the river.

 

In a sense the spell succeeded, but Starshine miscalculated his magic and was slammed into a tree. He cried out in pain before falling down in a heap. He stayed there, belly up, waiting for the pain to subside. "Freakin' ouch..."

I groaned as I laid on the edge of the river, belly-up. "This day...A-Anyways...." I coughed up a bit of sea water, then rolled over on my stomach. "What's your name?" I asked, looking at the unicorn and waiting for an answer. i sincerely hope that he doesn't do anything HORRIBLE to me...

"This day...A-Anyways...." I coughed up a bit of sea water, then rolled over on my stomach. "What's your name?" I asked

 

Starshine barely registered the question. The combined ache from his ribcage and his brain nearly dulled all of his senses. He coughed. "Starshine. Call me whatever," he answered drowsily. "Flippin' urgh... Next time I'll sleep as far away from any water bodies as I could."

 

After struggling with his hooves, Starshine finally righted himself and sat next to the tree. It would take a long time for his saddlebag to dry up. At least his package seemed to be fine. He turned to the white pegasus, "And... Why are you here again?" he asked inquisitively.

"I am serious, I don't see why you don't think so. i was surprised yesterday when you said that no one has ever told you you were cute before," Sunny said, smiling to try to convince Candy that she was being honest. 

How can she not see how beautiful she is?

Sunny almost said this aloud, but caught herself in time. Suddenly, Candy spoke again.

"You sure do," followed by an intense blush on the mare's cheeks. Sunny tilted her head quizzically. "I sure do what?"

Candy continued blushing, "Look...beautiful." She smiled defensively. "Forget me," she chuckled, though still flattered by how Sunny thought of her. "You're the one with the beautiful bright yellow coat...and that dark blue mane..." She sighed in a very infatuated manner. "...and where have those pretty eyes been all my life?"

"Thanks for trying to help, mighty appreciated, but I'm fine." He touched his ribs. It still hurt a bit, he decided to make himself comfortable and tucked his hooves under him.

 

"I think I'll stay here for a while. You said you were going to a cafe? Better get going then! Don't keep your friends waiting." Starshine waved a hoof dismissively. Not that he didn't appreciate the stallion's presence, but his head was still pounding something fierce from the botched teleportation.

"Oh! I need to find out when the trains are going to be fixed sometime!" She said, happy for a friend to talk to - even if he had been a little loud last night.
