((wait, wasn't dark_prinsess_luna supposed to tell when the storm hits? anyway thanks for getting me back in the RP   ))

 

Repsol looked out of the window, the clouds did seem to be forming a storm, however, this storm still seemed a few miles away.

"miss... Minty, wasn't it? please calm down a bit okay? the storm isn't hitting us yet, and i'm sure the captain of this ship has seen the clouds too."

he gave the mare the most comforting smile he could master at that moment.

"my name is Repsol Rave by the way, but everybody just calls me Repsol."

he stuck his hoof out in greeting

(( OOC: Oh silly me. I know, it's just that Minty sometimes hallucinates. Sorry I didn't let you know earlier. I'll explain in a confessional. ))

 

Minty looked back out the window. "Oh! There wasn't a storm. I can hallucinate." Minty shook his hoof. "Sorry for bothering you. You were doing.. something."

"erhm.. yeah.. something." Repsol looked back at his suitcase. unfortunately, the thing kinda got trampled in the commotion.

hmm.. guess there goes having all my stuff nice and organised.

to be honest, he was just completely bored out of his mind.

"hey, you seem pretty nice. i don't have anypony to hang out with, and to be honest. i'm bored out of my mind. you don't seem to know something to do out here?"

Rock spat out his coconut champagne. "Mother Celestia!" He exclaimed "I've always wanted one of these! Of course every time I tried to order one, the mailmare would end up in hospital due to back problems"

 

 

Lume smiled. "This book is not something a pegasus would be able to easily fly with, indeed... But, of course, I have it~ Being the daughter of the mayor of Fillydelphia, I have access to any book that I wish for!" She boasted. "I brought the encyclopedia along with me because only Celestia knows what kind of insane island we're going to disembark on, so there may be poisonous insects and whatnot."

 

 

"I'm so grateful for this. I swear from this moment on, that I shall do everything in my power to repay this kindness you have shown!" He took a dramatic pose "And my name is Rock, not Rick"

 

Lume pulled out an awkward smile after hearing about Rock's promise, but she thought about the possibilities as well. She started stroking her chin. "Anything, you say?..." I might have an use for this guy... She would've continued her evil thoughts, but something else distracted her.

 

"STORM!"

 

Lume looked at the shouting pony in disgust and rolled her eyes, watching the desperate pony rush inside a cabin. "Honestly, some ponies are just so loud and exaggerated..." She looked up at the sky and confirmed that the mint-colored mare was seeing things. "There isn't a single cloud in the sky..."

 

"...Anyway, where was I?" She turned back to the brown pegasus.

"Oh my gosh! Yes, there's so many things to do here! C'mon!" Minty grabbed Repsol's hoof in a friendly manner, and trotted outside the cabin. "You can go sunbathing! This is the perfect weather for flying, and also, look at all the sea animals! Oh, there's so much more to do!"

Repsol was kinda caught offguard when the mare took his hoof and dragged him outside.

but in a way, it was refreshing too. finally somepony that knew how to atleast be active! he had still no idea where she was taking him tough.

"I believe we were talking about repaying your kindness. As you can see, I was raised by very old fashioned parents" He said with pride "They taught me the 'eye for an eye, a hoof for a hoof' rule, and seeing that you did me a favour, I must do one for you!"

 

Rock was so caught up in his ego, that he didn't notice the thoughtful yet evil look on Lume's face.

Minty brought Repsol to the edge of the boat. "Hey, you like to be active, right? Want to race?" Minty asked, standing on the edge of the boat. "It's really peaceful over here. So, did you make any friends here yet? Yes? No?" Minty asked, trying not to take on her usual fast and weird tone. Just breathe, Minty. Don't mess up in front of Repsol."

Repsol twitched his ear when he heared the mare say 'race'.

did she just say she want's to race?this must be a gift from celestia herself!

the mare kept talking however, and repsol just heared the other question.

"yeah i've met someone else here. i think her name was Punk Beat. but i'm not too sure."

he looked back at the mare, and shot her a sly grin.

"but you said you wanted to race huh? i'm up for a challenge"

Minty laughed.  "Okay, I need a little bit of time to prepare for this. I always need to be prepared for a race. To beat your flank!" Minty trash talked jokingly, trotting off into the direction of her and Moonshower's cabin.

 Repsol laughed at Minty's response.

"ha! you better get yourself really prepared then." he grinned at the mare, before stretching his legs a bit.

Minty trotted back with her mane tucked into a ponytail and wearing a tank top.

Minty trotted over to Repsol. "I'll give you an advantage. I won't use my wings. Okay, ready when you are."

Repsol stretched his hind legs one last time before turning back to Minty.

"allright, guess i'm ready." Repsol looked over the mare once before starting the countdown.

"okay, so first to the far end of the ship and back wins! ready...setgo!"

he took off as fast as his hooves could carry him.

"I see..." Lume had no idea that lending Rock the encyclopedia would turn out this way; with him insisting on returning the favor. She didn't even really intended doing him a favor in first place, she just wanted to show off her expensive book. But it seemed like an opportunity she couldn't miss. Perhaps during the Total Drama competition, Lume could use the gullible pegasus and gain some advantage in the competition.

 

"Once we arrive the island, we'll talk details." She wrapped her hoof around him. "But I can tell you something: from now on, I want you to consider me your new friend. Copy that, Rocky?"

Minty darted after the stallion, nearly matching their pace, slightly bumping him to make him lose track a little. She laughed jokingly, trotting as fast as she could, making sure not to let her wings to unfold. She saw the end of the ship. It was nearing.. nearing..

Repsol grinned as the mare bumped into him. she wants to play it dirty huh? i can do that 

he sped up just a little more to get next to the mare again, and carefully pushed her back, trying to not push her over.

they where very close to the turning point now and Repsol was almost trotting at full speed.

Minty struggled to keep up, and eventually caught up with Repsol again. "Almost.. there!" Minty shouted, trotting towards the end of the ship, but her karma came back for her cheating to go ahead. She merely stumbled and scraped her hoof, but still urged herself to move on.

Lume shuddered slightly upon hearing those cheesy nicknames Rock had came up with for her, and shuddered even more when he put his hoof around her. She quickly removed her arm from around him and retreated, creating a space of approximately one leg of distance between the two. "Yes, yes, I'm glad you got the idea!" She smiled awkwardly again.

 

Her attention was caught by several hasty hoofsteps coming from behind, sounding like some kind of stampede. She looked over the general direction of the noises and saw two ponies running in a crazed pace towards her. Lume immediately froze in fear, covered her face with her hooves and prepared to endure the seemingly inevitable collision.

 

"AHHH!!" She shouted in advance.

Repsol looked back at Minty. she looked to have fallen back a little.

he suddenly heared a very,very loud scream coming from in front of him. there was a mare standing right in his path

oh buck oh buck oh buck oh buck!!

Repsol put all four of his hooves straigt in the wooden deck. he skidded to a halt mere inches in front of the mare.

Minty quickly recovered, trotting around the mare that Repsol has skidded to a stop to. "Psych!" Minty said, trotting towards the end if the ship. "And.. I can make it, I can make it!" Minty said to herself, hopping to the big finish, since the scrape is getting worse and worse. She kept going and going, but fell on her muzzle. She was merely a few feet away from the finish, so she tried to crawl as fast as she could.

He sprung to action, his chivalrous trait kicking in. He left Lume and trotted over to the green mare. She was desperately crawling to the edge of the ship.

 

"Excuse ma'am, but you appear to have fallen over" Rock pointed out "Do you require assistance?"

"I'm.. fine.." Minty strained, her muzzle obviously bruised, but that didn't matter to Minty now. She needed to get to the finish to prove herself. "But thank you for asking anyway," Minty said kindly, but not looking back. "I'll need some help after the race, though."

"excuse me miss, but i am in a terrible hurry!" Repsol said to the mare, quickly trotting after minty again. Minty however, seemed to have fallen over. Repsol took advantage of this and trotted with everything he got to the finish line. when he was almost there tough, a stallion jumped in front of him., repsol had noweher to turn this time, so he simply chose to hope for the best and jump over Minty, since she was still crawling to the finish. come on, come on...

he trotted to Minty and leapt over her, pushing off with all his hooves

Lume took a peek between her hooves to see the pony that just barely caused an accident and chased after the other one. She stepped fiercely on the ground, raging.

 

"ARE YOU PONIES OUT OF YOUR STUPID MINDS?? THIS IS A LUXURY CRUISE, NOT A BUCKING RACE TRACK!!" She took a deep breath, looking back and forth at the two runners. "I could've DIED right here, damn it!"
