  1. Character Name: Vivid Clover Personality: Intelligent, Cunning, Competitive, Carefree, Gambling. Reference: https://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/vivid-clover-r9188 Thanks in advance.
  2. Right after finally hitting the end of a rather lengthy staircase, Vivid Clover slammed the door shut behind her, promptly barricading it with any and every material she could find nearby. Panting heavily, she sat down while pressing a hoof against her chest, perhaps being able to regain her breath at last. She scanned the area around, and found herself at the rooftops of Canterlot. The beige mare had arrived at the city a few minutes earlier. She was planning to move to the main central portion of it, where the royal castle was located. However, she wasn’t quite expecting to be surrounded by what seemed to be a dozen of Undead ponies. Desperately scurrying for a place to hide, she had entered the first building in sight and hurried along towards the higher ground. Feeling relatively safe once atop, Clover looked down at the streets, from where she was able to secure a good-enough view of the dreadful situation below. At that point in time, she was just doing everything in her power to stay alive: even when it meant having to kill them whenever running away wasn’t possible. After all, not much else could be done by herself alone. Once Equestria fell apart, adapting to the smell of blood and the slaughter of every day seemed to be the best - if not only - option. The war between the dark army and the harmony-loving ponies was far from over. After resting briefly, she decided to wait a few minutes longer for the enemies below to diminish in quantity. In the meanwhile, she would try and set up another small, basic bonfire with rocks and sticks she’d brought from the forest. She levitated two of the stones and struck them against each other, managing to ignite the sticks. She didn’t know how long it would last; she only hoped it would be enough. Grasping her enhancing talisman, she waited.

Trying to draw a proper picture for Vivid Clover. It's turning out... "meh", I'd say.

    3. Summer Breeze

      Summer Breeze

I'm sure it's better as "meh" people always say that of their own work when it's actually really good :3

I always thought the Ponymaker image would look way better than anything I could draw, but it shouldn't hurt to give it a try... We'll see.:P

  4. "Documenting, huh?... Well, that does sound like a great idea. As far as we know, we could be making history here." Clover said, showing a few traces of enthusiasm. "That's also just what I'd expect from you, Professor. Good thinking." Then she smiled. Not too long after that, Summer Breeze came back with a plate full of pancakes and laid them on the table. "I see..." She said, thoughtful, whilst levitating a pancake for herself. "That could be really helpful during the exploration. You know; flying around. Celestia knows what awaits us in that island, so I'm counting on you to give us the bird's-eye view of the situation." She then took a bite out of the breakfast meal and was immediately taken aback. "Mmm!..." She mumbled while still chewing, politely covering her mouth with a hoof, as to signal that she had something important to say. "Ten out of ten." She concluded after swallowing. @ "Hey Jack-o, don't you wanna try some? I'm sure there's enough for everypony." She called out to their captain. Even though Jacky had that permanent eerie aura surrounding her, Clover didn't want her to feel left out. After all, they were part of the same crew for the time being.
  5. Hello. Yesterday I went to a friend's party and I talked with a few people that I met there about learning languages - more specifically, about learning English (since it isn't our native language). They told me that, no matter how hard they studied, they could never reach a decent level of speaking. But when they asked me how I managed to learn it, it was honestly kinda hard to explain. I've never really taken any specific English classes aside from the basics they teach in schools. I've learned everything I know today basically by myself, either from watching foreign movies, from playing video-games or from spending way too much time on the internet. Because of that, I personally think that English is rather easy to learn, given that it's commonly considered the universal language and all that. However, I find that most people here in my country don't share this same opinion. It's actually pretty difficult to find someone that speaks English fluently here, and when they do, it's because they studied it a lot throughout their lives. So that kept me wondering: just how hard is it to learn a new language? Do some people have an easier time than others? As long as you're determined enough, is it possible to learn any other language if you want to? How many languages do you know, and how did you learn them?
  6. I personally find it very important to just let it all out before those negative feelings take over. I've been depressed before, and just speaking from the heart to my family and close friends helped me overcome it more than anything else ever could. Even when you don't know exactly what's bothering you so much, just being around your loved ones is the best medicine~ c:
  7. Just started playing Undertale... Am I late for the party? :v

  8. "Sounds good to me!" Clover said, giving Summer Breeze a wholehearted smile and a nod expressing gratitude. Pancakes really did sound like a delicious way to start the day - anything other than the canned tuna she had been consuming ever since setting off from Oturna would most definitely be pleasing to her stomach. Furthermore, she was also a bit curious as to how good of a cook Summer Breeze was. As for herself, fried eggs was by far the best trick she could pull off. She went over to the main cabin's dining table and patiently awaited their meal. "So, what have you guys been up to these last few days? Getting ready for our little expedition?"
  9. @, @@Summer Breeze, @@Unicorncob, When she heard their Captain speaking, Clover had just woken up from a reinvigorating, well-spent night of sleep. She rubbed her eyes, exhaled a lengthy yawn and stretched out her limbs, before arriving at the deck where Jacky was. "I guess 'magical' really is the right word... I thought we would never see land again." She said, still somewhat dozy. It had been a long trip, but it seemed like they had finally arrived at their destination. Clover walked closer towards the ship's prow from where she could get a better view of the mysterious Deverol. The first word that came to her mind upon seeing the island was 'exotic'. She wondered just how much of it had been already charted, and how much of it was yet to be explored. The feeling of adventure was quite unfamiliar to the gambling mare, given how much she was used to the life in the city. Getting appropriately excited, she couldn't help but to smile. "...I am starving." She mentioned, coming back to her senses. "Anypony else?"
  10. *potato eating intensifies* Attack on Titan is a fantastic series; definitely one of my favorites. I find it very unique the way some of the characters deal with their fears and personal dilemmas, making them extremely real and relatable, which I think is kind of rare between the majority of shounen anime out there. Not to mention the jaw-dropping animation. I mean, the 3D Maneuver Gear has to be one of the most awesome looking things ever!
  11. Clover returned a kind smile to the young mare. For a few minutes she pondered about her question, placing down the almost empty glass of wine and lying back on her chair, stretching some limbs in the process. "Oh, where do I begin? This town of yours is just so fascinating!" She said with an unexpectedly joyful tone of voice, with which one couldn’t tell whether she was being serious or not. "I mean, I can only assume that Prince Blueblood and his lovely crew have something special planned for all of his guests, right?" She then shook her head, realizing she might’ve been getting off topic. "But well, anyway... I mostly like to play card games such as poker; that’s what my cutie mark stands for. Other than that, it’s kind of hard to say. I guess I just like fun things in general." She giggled. "Nevertheless, I’m excited about what you might have in store for us."
  12. I think that's a good idea. Maybe you could do some sort of challenge-like requests where people have to create specific types of OC's (villains, protagonists, etc.) in a limited amount of time (one/two weeks) for you to review and rate at the end. Or maybe you could even gather some people and try to create worlds/universes based around those characters like a "creation group" or something. But maybe that's derailing a little bit.
  13. Clover became mildly annoyed when Jacky left the scene without shaking hooves on the agreement. In that situation, she could only hope that their deal wouldn't be broken, and that they would be able to work together until the conclusion of their journey. She was more concerned about the latter, since up until that point, the lantern mare had shown herself to be quite difficult to deal with. Clover then proceeded to step onto the ship's deck and soon found a place to sit and relax. "The Professor is right, Jack-o. You better not think of us as your slaves or anything like that... If you want us to help you, you have to do something for us in exchange." She said, giving Jacky a cold, stern look. "Otherwise, it's either tricks, or treats." Then she giggled.
  14. If they're with you, make them proud; if they're against you, prove them wrong.

  15. Clover brought a hoof to her chin and carefully, silently considered Jacky's offer. After listening to what the other's opinions on the matter were, she felt the liberty to express her own at last - after all, at the end of the day, making business was one of her favorite things to do. The beige mare, once more, levitated her glasses off and gently wiped them with a soft piece of cloth, before putting them back on. @ "So, um... Jack-o." She began. "While we sincerely appreciate your disposal to pay us beforehand, I do believe that this specific issue was not properly addressed in the flyers that announced the expedition - the ones we had access to. Therefore, from a practical point of view, this payment you speak of might possibly bring a certain disadvantage to one side or the other, considering that our investigation may eventually not yield any sort of fortune, or our service as the Wolfhound's crew may not prove satisfactory by your standards. However, if the hidden treasures and valuable artifacts of Deverol are proven to be real and attainable by the end of our expedition, my colleagues and I will gladly accept our respective payments then. Assuming you and your, uh... lantern, can make use of the same share, I was initially considering the rights to 25% equal benefits to each of us four, that, of course, is susceptible to change. What do you say?" She ended, holding out a hoof to seal the deal. During her explanation, Clover seemed to speak more eloquently than normal, and her voice and accent noticeably changed, almost as if she had rehearsed a speech.
  16. Clover scratched her head a few times while displaying a frown. Being honest with herself, she somewhat expected to encounter such an odd, uncanny situation like that from following the flyer's instructions, considering how little information was provided. At the same time, however, she didn't quite imagine that their contact would be so difficult to deal with. She didn't want to find out what that mare who called herself - or themselves - Jacky was capable of doing had Clover pushed her further with that assertive interrogation. For the time being, she decided to just play along, and ask for the opinion of the rest of the group. "Um... Professor? Breezy?" She called out to them. "What do you guys think? Jack-o here wants to pay us..."
  17. After Cloud, Bayonetta and nearly the entire cast of Fire Emblem, I'd honestly not be impressed if a MLP character actually made into that game. But well, let's see... If Celestia was added she could maybe play a bit similar to Palutena, and that would be cool. Applejack could have some cool mechanics with a lasso, as well as Pinkie and her arsenal of party gadgets. This kinda reminds me of Fighting is Magic.
  18. After the menacing flames slowly diminished, Clover sighed silently in relief and soon regained her composure. She then tilted her head at Jacky's following issue. "Um... Paid?" She asked. She knew beforehand that the journey was most likely going to bring fortune through the artifacts found along the way, but the fact that the team was going to receive a payment in advance caught her by surprise. Nevertheless, that was only one of the countless doubts that sprouted in her mind from that abrupt encounter. "H-Hold on a second! Let me be the one asking the questions here for a minute: What do you mean you didn't send any letters? Are you saying you were not the one that put up all those flyers around Equestria? But... you're Wolfhound's Captain, aren't you? And also, what's up with that freaky lantern you're holding up? We're in broad day light!" Clover machine-gunned her questions without mercy.
  19. I think reviewing OC's is a lot of fun, not to mention it gives us a mutual understanding of how to develop a decent character for a show, a fanfic, a roleplay, and basically anything else inside the community. I'm personally trying to get into reviewing some myself, but I feel like I still need a lot more experience on the matter. A "Character Showcase" blog sounds really awesome~ (And on that note, you can totally review Vivid Clover for the blog if you ever feel like it. c:) As for the day's question... I think this may be kind of an obvious answer, but in my opinion, Queen Chrysalis has a lot of potential that is yet to be explored. Her whole kingdom of changelings and their role and backstory in Equestria still remains a mystery for the most part.
  20. As soon as the magical fireball blasted out of the lantern, Clover hastily took several steps back and assumed a defensive stance. Her horn, too, began to glow a dark red color, preparing herself against any preemptive strike the mysterious mare could launch. "Hey hey hey, woah now, Jack-o! Let's calm down a little bit, shall we? There's no need for this kind of violence." The gambling mare said, attempting to defuse the situation. "My name is Vivid Clover, and those two are my partners. We're here for the treasure of Deverol - we received your letter... If there is any sort of misunderstanding, we'll be on our way. No hard feelings." As the flames continued to surround the group, Clover grew more and more apprehensive. As much as she disapproved of Jacky's riddle-like, somewhat devious was of speaking, it didn't look like she was playing around. Clover looked up to where Summer Breeze had flown off to protect herself, and then at Professor Indus by her side. More than anything, she wished to avoid any unnecessary quarrel that would compromise the safety of those ponies around. After all, if Jacky got furious, it was most likely Clover's own fault.
  21. Recently I've been way into ASMR videos, like those "brain massaging" experiments and stuff. I wouldn't necessarily say it helps me relax, but I think it's just an overall weird, yet cool feeling every time... I just wish I had a decent headset for the better experience. :|
  22. Clover was a bit startled by the mysterious figure so suddenly appearing out of the Wolfhound. Levitating a lantern by her side, the mare of a short stature for a brief moment didn't look much different than an apparition that haunted the ship. As she began to talk after Indus introduced himself, Clover looked back at both her companions and shrugged in confusion, as the ghost-like pony appeared to be somewhat speaking in riddles. "'We', huh?" She asked, deeply intrigued, not being able to see anypony else nearby. "So, um... Wha-- Who the hell are you?"
  23. I burnt my hand while cooking... Again... How can I be so terrible at this? :v

    1. The Mint Pone

      The Mint Pone

You should see my arms. It was busy at work this weekend gone so i got like 5 oil burns on my arms. Cooking is painful!

  24. "Well, you seemed to become a little uneasy whenever the Professor mentioned his studies on magic while you two were talking." Clover explained. "I'm a poker player. After so many years of gambling, you sort of learn to understand what somepony else is thinking just by the look on their faces and their way of speaking... Don’t worry, though. I promise I won’t read your mind with my magic without your consent." She winked playfully and cracked a smile. "But really, the Professor is right. You have nothing to be scared about. We won’t bite." As much as Clover tried to comfort Summer Breeze, she had never heard of anypony with a fear of magic before. Taking into consideration the history of Equestria, magic was something that all of its inhabitants breathed like air. However, if there was a deeper meaning for the pegasus’s antipathy towards the arcane, Clover couldn’t know for sure. Thus, she decided to leave it be for the time being. She then moved back closer to the Wolfhound vessel and signaled to the others. "Shall we climb on board then? Maybe our Captain is just sleeping in there or something." She said, as she began crossing the plank that gave access to the ship.
