The toxic colors ream in. It seeps though the underground as her eyes lays over her court. Her domain. She owns this land when the moon towers over the mountain of Canterlot. To do what she has done it was not of her want, but of need. Her blue eyes stare with regret. 

 

"Twilight Sparkle, what have you done?" She had said to herself. Only to see what everything that's gone forth. The murders, the chaos in Canterlot. Ponies all frantic. Not to mention, Twilight Sparkle to be forced into Princesshood with still no whereabouts of our dear sister. Twilight, though strong as she might portray herself to the public. Still cries under the sheets like she was a foal. 

 

What could have done? Even bringing in the detective and his group that was able to save the elements only made things much worst. From what she has heard from guards and Twilight Sparkle, it just caused more deaths. She has not been able to mourn her dear sister. Too much to do, so little time. It won't be long before-

 

The sound of wings flapping in the moonlight. As the hooves land on the balcony. A exhausted sigh comes from her lips, as she steps out of the balcony. The months have not been kind on her. Her all-encompassing mane has lost it's luster, lying on the floor. bags under her eyes. Even an alicorn needs beauty sleep. The princess of the night, sees one of her Nighthunters. "Quickly Point" you could hear voice being slightly raspy. "Do you have any news of your work with the Detective?"

 

He sighs, "It is slow, brutal mess. We know that whoever is behind the killings is using a magical weapon. For my own observations, I do not think it was there own, but Carrick has not yet rule out the possibility. Furthermore, we have acquired two new members, both of which are magical anomalies. One is a which specializing with earth magics, the other is more difficult to describe. We were recently attacked in an alleyway. The assassin was prepared to die for what they believed in, to the point of suicide. Your highness, what troubles me most is the moon. As beautiful as it is, it is troubling to say the least." He was visibly relieved that she was the same, regular Luna.

"Rebels are rather annoying sometimes." He commented. "I'd be surprised if the Sparkle girl had done it by herself for such a reason. However if someone was controlling her or helping her, that wouldn't be so absurd. Though that's just my take on it." He finished as he put away his flask. "Anything else I've missed in my absence? Whatever happened to Ice Star and his friends? Including Snow." He asked.

As Carrick spoke about Twilight sparkle, Phee could only think about the future she came from. This past is so colorful, and full of energy and life. The complete opposite of the land I come from. Could this be the pivotal point in history where Twilight takes over and erases all main stream history of Celestia and Luna? If I remember correctly, it will be expressly forbidden to even so much as mention Celestia's name. This may be the deciding moment... If that's the case... if that's the case, then I have to stop it and save my mother's life, and save my father from going down this dark road. Phee thought

Phee needed to disclose her secret to Carrick, Carrick was one of the only ponies that she trusted. And hopefully, he would understand.

Carrick turned over to Phee, from the look on her face she seemed serious about something, "Okay." He wonder what she wanted to talk about. This pony is still a big mystery and part of him knows that she's hiding something big.

Phee wanted some time to think about how to word her secret to Carrick. He seemed like a pretty understanding pony, and as a leader, the group couldn't have asked for a better one. But Phee was still having anxiety about the whole thing. After all, if Phee tells Carrick about her origins, then she will also have to tell him about the time keeper pony who came to exterminate her because of the time anomaly her presence causes. What if Carrick wanted thought the same way and decided to turn her in to the time keepers? Would he do that? 

All of this ran through her mind as she tried to process her next response, 

"Meet me on the rooftop in 5 minutes, I need a bit of time to figure out how to say what I need to say." Phee said quietly so only Carrick could hear 

"Also, please, to everyone here with super hearing, please be courteous of my privacy, I only wish to talk to Carrick. Which means only he should here what I wish to say." Phee said as she trotted out of the house and flew to the roof.

Carrick nodded at her request, he readjusted his fedora as he saw her trot away, as he got some time for himself to think about what she was going to talk about. Her suddenly inclusion of a talk did seem...too suddenly. Just as they were talking about the princesses and the revolution itself. There must be some type of correlation. He assumed, he saw the time move by as he got himself to the rooftop. The large moon still piercing above the skies as the stars give it a pleasant feeling. 

 

He looked over to Phee, "Well then, what is it that you want to say?" He asked.

Hypno watched the two leave with a curious look. "Something is odd about that mare... however I'm sure well all find out sooner or later." He thought as he put his hooves over his ears to plug them after hearing Phee's last words before leaving the house. He still would grant her wish, even if he did want to hear the conversation.

"I don't know if there is any easy way to say this, but I will try to explain this as thoroughly as possible..." Phee took a deep breath and exhaled. Some steam from her breath escaped. After the moon blocked the sun it started to get a bit chilly, she didn't even realize how much the temperature had dropped until then. 

"I am from the future. A dictatorial future. Where ponies are not allowed the basic freedoms you have now. Where Princess Luna isn't a princess anymore, only the guardian of the night. And where Twilight Sparkle reigns supreme over all of Equestria. I was born in Celestial Era 1004, and it is currently Celestial era 1003. I came back from Twilight Era 20. Twilight Era is the new era instated in after the final year of the celestial era 1004. The year that Twilight seizes the throne by fighting Luna and stripping her of her of her princess title..." Phoenix stopped to give Carrick some time to process.

He nodded; it made sense. The early moonlight would mean Twilight's duties would end and she could go to bed. As long as they both agree, there was no real problem. Minus the fire for any pony rebellions, that is. He saluted and asked, "Permission to return to work, your highness?"

Took all of what she said, he looked away from her as he contemplated what she had just said. A time traveler? A pony who actually seen something of the past? Out of the things I've dealt with, this really isn't out of the realm of possibility anymore. He could tell she sounded genuine about it. He stared at the stars as the twinkle about, "Alright, so what if I do believe you? What are you doing here in the past?" He asked Phoenix.

 

Luna nods at him, "You can return to your duties." staring at the moon.

Quickly ended his salute and took off. Even with the new information, he needed some alone time. Flying high, he wrote a note to Carrick detailing what was going on. He dove over Starbolt's house, dropping the note in front of Carrick, and wrung to the nearest portion of Everfree.

 

"Carrick,

The early night is to allow a rest period for the Royal Highness Twilight Sparkle. I'm going to rest in the forest a bit-the city is wearing on me.

"Alright, so what if I do believe you? What are you doing here in the past?" 

Phoenix paused a moment to try to summon a reply from the depths of her memories...

"Well, I am here because my father went insane. My father was a great mage, and a scholar. He became obsessed with solving the equation for time travel soon after my mother passed away. He wanted to go back in time and stop my mother from being murdered. He eventually lost himself in his work, but soon after he was consumed by darkness. But... I don't think he snapped alone... I think somepony manipulated him. Because, he had just finished his spell for time travel. The perfect runic equation, but then something happened. Somepony knew he was weak and did something to him that made him lose all control. Soon after, he began to raze the city of canterlot to ashes, meanwhile the rebels of Equestria joined in and a giant war commenced to topple the world power, Twilight Sparkle. No matter what side would win, nothing would change. The rebels were led by an evil pony named Shadow Eclipse, he was only interested in gaining the throne for himself, nothing would have changed even if he did win. I didn't stay long enough to witness all of what happened. As soon as I saw my father begin to rain flames down onto Canterlot, I knew I had to try and go back in time to stop my mother from dying. If she had not died, my father would have been sane and he might have been able to have stopped Shadow Eclipse. My father was a part of a separate rebellion group, one that was attempting to bring back a princess of pure heart like Celestia to guide the people of Equestria, instead of just putting another corrupt tyrant in the throne like Twilight or Eclipse. But my father wasn't able to commit his efforts to the true rebellion because soon after he joined, my mother passed away. That was when he became consumed with darkness and spent all his time trying to change the past." Phee stopped and took a deep breath. 

Phee reached into her saddlebag and pulled out a book, her father's Ice Star case ledger. 

"I am pretty sure you know who my father is. He had nothing but good words to write about you and this group, My father is Blaze Phoenixtear, my mother, Daeva." She passed the ledger over to Carrick. The ledger was just a handwritten Black hardcover book with a large number 1 emblazoned with gold.

"These are the case notes from the Ice Star case. My father has yet to compile them like this in this time, am I correct? But if you don't believe me, I also have three other ledgers of my father's, none of them are case notes other than this one. The other's are just a log of current events and research notes compiled. After the Ice Star case, the only time my father had any interaction with you and The Other Ponies was during the assembling of the true rebellion. You were one of the leaders, along with him, of the true rebellion. One of these ledgers contains the notes taken about the rebellion's plans to instate a new princess. You are more than welcome to look at any of these." Phee finished, setting the 3 other ledgers on the flat rooftop in front of her.

Carrick glances up seeing Quickly drop a note, opening it up and reading this new information. Nothing too important, though judging from this constant reading. Twilight might be going too deep. Carrick then listen to the mare in front of her tell all of this information.

 

A master rune, a love that he would die for, something that a familiar friend would....

 

The rebels creating a giant war, a master  an evil pony that want to reign over once more. Then a ledger is given, the notes....

 

Nopony know about the situation, only the princesses and The Other Ponies. To have this ledger as he read slowly on each note, each file. This writing style, these notes on everypony from the case.This makes it clear, Phoenix is Blaze's daughter to be.

 

He closes the ledger and get another one, So, does that mean this Shadow Eclipse be the one who is starting this rebellion? Though if that was the case, why murder ponies? Why murder these specific ponies as well? Maybe he comes later in the game. Carrick looks up at Phoenix, 

 

 

A death of a friends and their mental instability. The detective leading a army, something that he would've never thought he'd do. He wasn't one of patriotism of the care of the princesses power. As long as he got his case...what could of instated this? Was it this bad? Or was there more to it? Either way, knowing THIS information, we can stop some Twilight's reign. If she is just reading books and trying to take over, then maybe we can stop it. We just need something.

 

 

"Alright then, I believe you," there wasn't more to it, a pony was able to go back in time and trying to stop one of his friend's from going crazy and ultimately killing himself in the process. "In either case then, if what you're saying is true. Then we have a bit of digging before we can stop Twilight or even this Shadow Eclipse. If Twilight really is trying to take over, we need actual proof. Even if I believe you, I'm not sure Princess Luna would be so trustworthy from word only from a detective and a 'time traveler' Even if all of these ledgers is correct, this just circumstantial evidence. Not enough to ban or stop a powerful alicorn like Twilight Sparkle." Carrick continues reading the ledger.

"Thank you, for believing me... Though, to tell the truth, I didn't mean to end up here. Actually I only meant to go back two years, to stop my mother's death. Somehow I ended up twenty-two years in the past. And also, to tell the truth, I don't know how to get back. Blaze never made a spell for return, he only made the one rune for backwards travel, and I don't have that rune anymore. It's still back in the future that I left. Another thing, I don't know if you are thinking that Shadow is behind this. But if you are, you would be wrong. Shadow isn't alive right now. Shadow is around the same age that I am, 21. I came back from T.E. 20. Which means he isn't born until next year, like me. I doubt he is the one causing the trouble now in 1003 C.E. " Phoenix said. 

Phoenix raised her right hoof and pointed it at Carrick. The rune on her hoof was still slightly glowing orange from the reaction it had back at Donut Joe's. 

"This rune was given to me at birth by my father. He said it was to protect me from harm, but mostly all it does is protect me from intense heat, like fire."

Carrick gives a nod to her, and stares at her hoof.  Another runic circle, he's started those more and more since the Ice Star incident. He wasn't so sure why the increase amount of the runic circles started growing compare to traditional magic, a few cases in his few months where he notice circles just like those. He tapped his forehead as he trotted to the door, "Alright, well one thing is for sure. I need to read those files from Donut Joe. I need to do a lot more reading." He hears soft sounds of noise from the outside. You can hear some residents talking about, confused about what is going on.

 

"Better get some coffee, Phoenix. I'm going to staying up the night." He opens the door and walks out. This new information from Phoenix....she's actually Blaze's daughter from the future. Such a surreal idea that only this world can conjure up. Twilight taking over Equestria. It isn't such a foreign idea. One must consider how much she really does care for the princess, even when he talk to Twilight after the incident she seemed, different. Though still a bookworm, but shattered. As if her own mother has died. She really must of cared for Celestia. Was this all because of her? A lost of her teacher? The one she try the most to impress? Maybe a conversation with Princess Luna would help abide his fear of it. She has been the one talking to her the most. One can only concede that she might know something.

 

Not to mention these murders. The same murder weapon used in every attempt and a suicide. To even fathom a suicide must mean that whatever information that pony had was important enough to kill themselves worth. Maybe the royals or someone underground can actual have that type of power but, who would be willing to murder and why? Was this all connected with the murders? What do all these victims have in common? Hopefully, he can find some sort of clue, some opening that can help him find a pattern. Until then, he walks over to the desk. Looking over at the files laid on the table.

 

He starts opening them up, as he takes out his handy notepad, his pencil right underneath the spiral, he takes it out and starts reading on Donut Joe. He knew that even though it isn't night time, some or at least most must be tired from dealing with all of this. He knew that even he felt some fatigue. "Everyone, best you all take a rest. There isn't much we can do without some pattern within the notes. I'll be up for a while so if anything happens, so I'll call for help if needed. We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow, best you all take a break." He said to them.

 

He turns over to Starbolt, "I hope this isn't going to be a problem, Starbolt. I don't really trust anyone from the outside, I don't know if I can trust anypony, but you or the group right now." He turns his head back to the folder. Reading every detail and taking down small notes...
