Sole was still keeping in the shadows, just out of the gaurd's sight. "Alright tempest, after we talk to these guys, what are you gonna do about nibiru?" He asked curiously, as he hid quietly. He really didn't want to be seen by anyone, especially these gaurds.

Tempest glanced at Sole and sighed. "I honestly have no idea." He said. "I want my race to live on, but what if we aren't supposed to live on?"  The cyan pegesus then continued trotting towards the city.

 

After a few hours, the group entered the city and Ivy was astounded by it's beauty. The streets were lined with shops and ponies trotted about, while foals played and chased each other.

 

The guard from before glanced at the group and smiled at Tempest. "I told you." He said. "Come on. The king probably wants to talk to you." He then glanced at the others. "As for the rest of you, you're free to go, as long as you don't cause any trouble."

 

Tempest smiled and followed the guard, after Ivy got off of his back. "This should be interesting." He thought.

 

Ivy watched as Tempest left, and sighed. She then trotted through the market.

Frost roled his eyes as Tempest walked off "Great now what? What are we gonna do, just wait till he gets out I mean for all we know he could be getting executed." he said at the peak of his frustration."Also seems he won't give up on this whole Nibiru bull crap." he thought

Sole smiled and nodded "alright... dude." He said slowly, as he pretended to walk away down the street. But as he went out of sight, he flew to a nearby building and masked his magical presence and energy to match the locals. When he was done comoflauging, he began to follow tempest from the shadows, making sure not to be seen or heard.

Ivy smiled as she bought a dress and a few pieces of jewelry. "I wonder what Tempy will think of this." She thought. The silver unicorn then smiled and continued shopping.

 

Tempest soon arrived at the palace and trotted inside. He noticed a stallion that looked about his age. He wore a black amulet, similar to Celestia's. He also had a black mane and tail, along with red fur. After looking him over for a few seconds, the king smiled. "I honestly never expected to see somepony with so much power, especially in their aura." He said. "Who are you?"

 

The cyan pegesus recognized the language of the ancient civilization of the aura and smiled. "My name is Tempest Sol. I actually came here from the future to see this great city."

Frost decided to hang with Ivy while she did her shopping and sight seeing, he decided to ask his question again "So how exactly is killing Nibiru going to save your race." he asked as he browsed through some pocket watches. "There has to be away to stop your races destruction without killing him." he said

Ivy glanced at Frost and sighed. "I might as well tell you, since Tempest will probably give you some riddle or something." She said,before making sure nopony would hear them. "Nibiru basically killed the current ruler, who is basically Tempest's ancestor, and took over. After that, you can basically compare him to King Sombra. He was a tyrant who ruled with an iron hoof. Eventually, the princesses and Discord used the elements of harmony and chaos magic to seal him away. It was prophesied that a pony who was able to control their aura would aid in his escape, so Celestia had her guards hunt down any aura pony. The species as a whole was hunted to near extinction. A few members of Tempest's family, along with mine, were able to survive. That's why Tempest loathes Celestia the most out of the three."

Sole watched tempest and the other aura ponies interact and talk "this is... very interesting." He mumbled to himself, as he spied on tempest and the aura ponies. *I'll need to get closer to hear what they're saying...* he thought, as he snuck closer quietly to the ponies.

Frost nodded "Yeah, but hopefully you can shed some light on this: there was a story passed down through my family that before Celestia trapped a ledgendary figure named Nibiru he split his soul into two parts, his justful side and his wrathful side. In my family they passed down this..." Frost pulled an amulet out of his saddlebag "...they say that whoever holds it has the half soul of Nibiru, and if Tempest kills Nibiru my blood line will disappear. Mabey you can tell me if this is true.

The king simply laughed and nodded. "That honestly doesn't surprised me." He said. "We've made numerours advancements in terms of both magic and technology. Anyway, I hope you and you're friends enjoy your stay. If you need anything, all you have to do is ask. It's the least I could do for family."

 

Tempest smiled and nodded, before trotting towards the door. He noticed Sole and sensed something was off. "That must be the Sole from this time period." He thought. "I had better just act normal."

 

Ivy glanced at the amulet and was surprised. "I honestly haven't heard that part of the history. It does seem possible though." She said. "I think that even if Tempest does kill Nibiru, then the amulet should still be there." The silver unicorn then shrugged.

Frost nodded "Well I guess we'll just have to see what happens when it comes down to it." he said with a sigh in his voice, he let out a small twitch the other half of his soul was itching to come out since it had been sleeping for years, but Frost was unaware. "Thanks Ivy, and for the record....that necklace would look better in blue." he said with a chuckle

Ivy blushed slightly and smiled. She then bought the blue necklace and put it on. "Thanks for the advice." She said. "So, what do you think?"

 

Tempest sighed as he trotted through the streets. He could smell pastries and other sweets cooling in window sills. He decided to buy some and was surprised that he liked them. "I guess that comes with being a aura pony." He thought.

Frost grinned widely "Tempest will love it, just a thought but I heard there is this great pasta place down the street and since this only our last day here I think you should treat him to a nice dinner." Frost said giggling under his breath as he twitched again "Ow! That one hurt." he thought

lightning left the group as soon as he was aloud and looked around in awe I've never seen a place as beautiful as this. he thought as he went down a street, he bought a dress for his sister, a dozen book and stopped for lunch, then he saw tempest "hey tempest have you ever seen something as beautiful as this city." he said as happy as can be.

Ivy nodded. "It would make for a great anniversary gift. I might as well." She said. The silver unicorn then noticed Frost twitch and tilted her head. "What's wrong."

 

Tempest then remembered that tonight was technically his and Ivy's anniversary and decided to go big. "I might as well see what I can buy." He thought. After a few hours of looking, Tempest bought a piece of jewelry and smiled. He put it inside it's case and carefully put it in his saddlebag. "This is going to be the best night of Ivy's life." He thought. The cyan pegesus then noticed lightning and shook his head. "I honestly haven't." He said.

Frost looked at Ivy "I don't know ever since we got here I've been having pains all over my body followed by twitches, but it's most likely nothing to worry about." he said with a blush as he walked out of the store "See yah later Ivy!" he yelled back as he noticed lighting sitting down for lunch and decided to join him "Isn't this place great: the sights, the smells, the food!" he said

Rut-Light was just in awe, "This place is amazing!  Why would anyone want to destroy this place?"  But then a thought crossed his mind, 'Wouldn't this create a paradox?  Saving a place that in time got destroyed?  Hmm...starting to have second thoughts about this.'  Then he remembered what they originally traveled for in the first place; Changelings.  "Why aren't we looking for them?  Is Tempest that desperate to save this place that he completely forgot our original objective?"

Tempest and Ivy enentually met up and smiled. "You look beautiful in that necklace." Tempest said.

 

Ivy smiled slightly and blushed. "Thank you. Anyway, do you want to get something to eat? There's a pasta restaurant that isn't to far from here." She said.

 

The cyan pegesus nodded and the two trotted towards the restaurant. He thought about the box, in his saddlebag, and it's contents. "What could be more romantic?" He thought to himself.

After a few minutes, Tempest and Ivy arrived at the Italian resturant. They had changed their outfits on the way. Ivy was wearing the dress she bought earlier and Tempest was wearing a tuxedo made out of his aura. The two were seated and decided to order spaghetti with tomato sauce. "I hope this goes as planned." Tempest thought, as he ate.

When the two finished the meal, Tempest took the box out of his saddlebag and glanced at his date. "Ivy, we've known each other for most of our lives. You're the most beautiful pony I know, and I would do anything for you." He said, getting up and getting on one knee. ""Would you marry me?" the cyan pegesus then got the box out and opened it. Inside, was a ring with a ruby in the center.

 

Ivy smiled and nodded. "I would love to." She said.

 

After Tempest paid the bill, he and Ivy met up with Frost,Lightning, and Rut. "Well, that was interesting." He said. "We should probably find somewhere to sleep." Thankfully, Tempest's ancestor had allowed the group to sleep in the palace, if they wanted to.

Frost walked into the royal suite, his jaw almost hit the floor "Whoa cooooool!, this place is huge, look at the size of that bed, the fireplace, whooaa they have real food in here too." he said with the delightmint of a school filly. "Your ancestors sure are cool Tempest." he said with another twitch "What the heck! These twitching fits are starting to grow annoying." he hissed under his breath.

Tempest glanced at Frost and smiled. "Thanks." He said. The cyan pegesus then smirked. "This was honestly a good night. I actually just proposed to Ivy." Tempest then put a wing over the silver unicorn. Tempest then noticed Frost twitch, but decided not to ask about it.

 

Ivy blushed and nuzzled Tempest. "It was definatly worth it." She said. The silver unicorn then trotted into one of the rooms and laid down on the bed.

Rut-Light was usually one to dislike any fancy stuff, but when he saw the design of everything in the suite; his jaw metaphorically hit the floor.  Everything looked fantastic and just glowed with brilliance it almost made him want to faint; but his monocle just popped out instead.  "Tempest, any idea on how long this city has been standing?"

Tempest glanced at Rut and thought for a few seconds. "From what I've read, this city was founded before Equestria was even formed." He said. " So, judging from the current date, the city was founded about five hundred years ago." The cyan pegesus then sighed. "The best part is that aura ponies aren't just limited to one certain species. They are actually spread out through the three main races. Unicorns, pegasi, and earth ponies are those races. Nibiru was the first alicorn to be a aura pony, but we all know how that turned out."

"congratulations tempest and ivy, i'm very happy for you." lightning said happily after hearing tempest proposed, "now i'm going to bed and read." he said as he walked into one of the rooms, laid down on the bed and started reading this place is wonderful, how could anyone destroy it. he thought.

Tempest sighed and trotted out onto a balcony. "I wish there was a way for all of this to remain." He thought, smiling. The cyan pegesus then gazed at the stars and sighed. "Nopony should have to suffer like my race did."

 

In the shadows of Tempest's hotel room, a dark presence stood. "So, these are the time travelers that I've heard so much about." He thought. The alicorn then stepped out of the shadows, only to be revealed as Nibiru, and gazed over the sleeping form of Ivy. "We'll see how strong this new Sol really is." Nibiru then made his aura surround Ivy, and the two teleported away, making sure to leave a note.

 

"I have your precious little marefriend. Are you strong enough to come and get her, and to stop me from destroying everything you hold dear?You know where to find us. Come alone, or Ivy dies."

Frost had been laying in his bed for a good two hours thinking about the amulet, the twitching, and what his family lore was. "Mabey....I never was a true pony.....no, only half my soul is missing because of this stupid amulet." he said as a tear rolled down his cheek. He figured it was time to share this with Tempest and see what he has to say, he thought as he opened the door to tempests room. "Hey tempest I need to talk to you and....wait, where's Ivy Tempest." he asked as he walked onto the balcony.
