I missed you!

A few months back I just stopped posting to this site. I had been working in the field for a long time and didn't have the energy. My life consisted of nothing but working, eating and sleeping. (I made lots of money, so don't think I'm complaining. Just explaining.)

 

Once I got home, I was... well... not in a good frame of mind. My positive attitude deteriorated and my old paranoid, defeatist attitudes started re-asserting themselves. Incidentally, I was falling asleep each night to the FoE audiobook, which could have possibly played a role, but I digress.

 

This is my first visit to these forums since that field trip and, having read a bunch and written a little, I must say I'm feeling better about humanity than I have in months! It's actually a little scary, how much better I feel, but hey; why not? This is a wonderful community with a diverse range of perspectives and opinions and an underlying feeling of all these different people cooperating with and supporting each other.

 

I think on some level I had forgotten such things existed. Not in my mind but in my heart.

 

I know I'm sounding mushy and all, but... bi**hes, we embody the Elements of Harmony! With varying degrees of success, of course, but what counts is making an effort.

 

So I'm sorry I don't really have any content in this post -- I'm just so happy to be back and I wanted to let you know I MISSED YOU! <3

I had once put myself in a lot of work, and was shuffling that and school. I had to take power naps before work, because I didn't get enough sleep because I was working on projects for school. It was really a terrible mess, and I wasn't too happy because I had been stressed about all the work. It's good to be a hardworking person, but don't be reckless about it.

I'm kind of the new the forums, so I'm excited to make a new/old friend. Life can be hard, sometimes you wake up and don't stop until it time to sleep, but sometimes those days are what make us human.

Well, sorry to hear things weren't going well, but i'm glad to hear that these forums bring you so much joy! Personally i have to agree, because sometimes these forums feel like the only thing keeping me sane and not going into a big depression. Even if i still do on occasions, atleast I have friends here to help pull me out .

 

I miss these forums even when i just leave for vacation, much less long as you, so I can only imagine how it must've been, but regardless we're glad to have you back! Hopefully you will feel happier and better overall now that your back here .

The power a community can have on individual lives is truly fascinating Humans are an interesting bunch. There's the bitching, immaturity and cruelty, but then there's the togetherness, love and support. It's great to see you've returned, and I hope to see you become a regular much more frequently

I don't remember if we interacted before you left or not-anyhow we've shared some experiences for sure. I recently got a promotion with a bunch of new responsibility-no time for MLP forums or MLP in general-man, I started bummin' hard! The positive energy this place holds is amazing.
