Tournament style "best pony" competition [preliminary round]

The elimination round is over, with some of the results being no surprise.

But now it's time for the preliminary round, where things start to get interesting.  Here are the victors of the last round:

Princess Twilight Sparkle

 

Not surprisingly, Twilight beat Trixie again by an insanely wide margin.  The easy part is over now, and she has to go up against...

 

Princess Mi Amore Cadenza

 

 

Princess Cadence proved to be Shining Armor's better half, getting more than twice as many votes as him.

 

Rarity

 

Also not particularly surprising was Rarity's victory over her little sister.  But can she contend with...

 

Fluttershy

 

This one was particularly close.  Fluttershy only managed to beat Scootaloo by 3 votes.  But how will she fare against her best friend?

 

Rainbow Dash

 

Once again, no surprises here.  She was up against Big Mac and is 20% cooler.

 

Applejack

 

Like Rarity, AJ managed to win out against her sister in popularity.  But competing with Rainbow Dash is a completely different story...

 

Pinkie Pie

 

Pinkimina Diane Pie won by the widest margin.  But she was against Cheeralee.  This round is a completely different league.

 

Princess Luna

 

Considering how little we see of her, Luna's popularity is impressive.  She easily beat out her sister, but can she beat out Pinkie?

 

My votes are as such: Twilight, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie.

I went with Twily, Fluttershy, Rainbow, and Luna. It was hard to choose between RD and AJ because I like them both but in the end I have a soft spot for everyone's favorite flyer.

Twilight is beating Cadence? Really? I'm not saying that in a mean way, I'm just surprised that as a Princess, Twilight is beating her. I am going off the assumption that it is Twilight vs Cadence as rulers and not characters. If it is the other way around, I can see that making more sense.

 

Voted for Cadence, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Luna.

Pinkie is my favorite pony and I'm not surprised Luna has more votes than her.  She's got an insanely huge fanbase.
