I should totally be asleep, but when I have to wake up early I always have the most trouble sleeping.  I've slept in and been late to enough things in my life where my brain's just too paranoid about it.

I didn't get home until about...4 hours ago.  I had work.  Also, between the worry about having to be up, a few "comfort snacks," and trying to wind down from the adrenaline rush of work (doing what I can tonight to make tomorrow a smaller burden), just coming home and going straight to bed wasn't really a viable option.  The Internet is kinda relaxing, but it's also managing to keep my mind active.  Oh, and my circadian rhythms are messed up enough that I'm just not "naturally tired" enough to want to fall asleep right away to begin with.  Usually I get to sleep in, and I've been taking full advantage of that.

 

Also, yes.  Paranoid that I'll be late.  Even if I had fallen asleep at a nice hour, I'd still likely wake up several times in the night, hours before I "need" to be up.  I've done it before.  The times I've slept in I was just too exhausted.  Also, either my alarm somehow wasn't set, was set incorrectly, or I was so tired from before that I mindlessly shut it off and went back to sleep.

I can understand that.  My old job had me getting home at 1 AM just so that I could wake up at 5 AM.  Hope you can find a way to relax.  Maybe tea.

Well, while my brains still mostly awake, I decided that I would take care of something long overdue.  I shut of my PC, grabbed one of those "dirt trapping" dust cloths, and proceeded to unclog my machine of dust.  I kinda wish I has some compressed air to use, but oh well.  The cloth and my breath were enough.  It's been a little while since I last did it, so I consider the whole thing overdue.  My poor PC is old enough the way it is.  I don't need it to have crappy airflow.

Did I mention that I work essentially all day tomorrow, minus a few hours I'll be off between two shifts?  So I can't just be coherent enough to survive the early part of the day, and then come home and conk out.
