Chapter 11: A light between stars and apples

I wake up and realize, that Star isn't here anymore.

"Star? Are you here?"

No reply. But I smell something ... something good. I stand up from my bed, rubbing my eyes and then walking downstairs, to the kitchen.

"Morning Light. Make some pancakes for you, if it is okay."

She look to me. Few days ago, I never could dream about, to be together with any other pony then Sky Love. She changed my mind. I just have to restart my life. My old life died the last few days. No mailstallion, no Sky Love, no fear. Just me and Star and my new job in the apple farm. Changing my life to something better. Forget, but not lose, what happen in the past. Look to the future. There is still a long life ahead. Now with Star. But still ... Applejack. I still don't know, where I know her. Yeah, she IS a element of harmony, that probably know everypony. Sure I know her from that. But I mean before. Before I lived here. When I was still in ... now I remember! I meet her in Manehattan, when I was young. I didn't talk to her or something, just saw her. She didn't even had her cutie mark at this time. When I now thinking, that definitly was Applejack. And at this time, I got a crush on her ... but it was long time ago, I probably forgot her over years ...

"Light, are you okay?"

She look worried to me.

"W-What? No, everything is okay, just get lost in my thoughts. Don't worry, Sweetie."

She smile to me and use her magic to bring the plate with pancakes on the table. Then she sit down on one chair. I sit on the other chair.

"Uhm ... how should I eat it now, without cutlery?"

"Well, I didn't had anything like that, when I was evil. I used my hooves. Or my magic."

She use her magic again levitates one pancake to her and start eating it. I takes one with my hooves and start eating too. We ate for a while, before all pancakes are in our tummies. She really can cook good.

"That was delicious, Star. Can't wait to see, what you can cook too."

She blush a bit.

"T-Thanks, Light. I want, that you are happy, I giving my best."

I want, that you are happy ... She really want to give a good life, after what happened. She really like me ... no, she really love me.

"Star? Can I ask you something?"

She look surprised.

"Sure. What's up?"

"I was wondering ... why me? Why did you fall in love with me? There are probably 1000 stallions, who are more attractive, intelligent, cute or what I know. Why me?"

"You know. After what happened, most of them are still unsure to trust me. They try to avoid me."

"But not every stallion, or?"

"Well, not every stallion, but most. Same for mares. Or non-ponies. I guess, the princesses and the elements of harmony trust me. Also Sweet and Rising ... especially Rising."

"Sweet? But didn't he die?"

She gulp, then start talking again.

"Yeah, he is. I just hope, he would trust me, if he would still be alive ..."

"Sorry. About Rising. Why not him?"

"We are very good friends. But not more. I never really had feelings for him, like I have for you. I always saw him as my best friend, never thought father then that. And back to your question. I love you, because you are nice and friendly and don't fear me."

"Fear you? You are too cute to fear. You could only kill me with your cuteness."

We both laughing for a while.

"I wasn't sure yet, to be together with somepony, after I find out, what happened with Sky. But I restart my life and I'm glad, you are a part of it, Star. I wasn't there, when you was evil, I only know and see the Black Star in front of me. A cute mare, who isn't evil. I saw evil ponies already, you are not even close to them."

She blush again.

"T-Thanks, Light. I'm glad, that I'm not evil anymore."

"What exactly is happened?"

"You mean, when I was evil? I find out, that Sweet is a lucid dreamer."

"Lucid dreamer?"

"Ponies who dreaming, but have full controll of themselves."

"You mean, when he want to buy an apple in the market, he just could do that, without stopped by dream limits?"

"Exactly, he can do, whatever he wants in his dream. Asking a pony for a date, buy a apple, start killing everypony ... but lucid dreaming is dangerous, Light."

"Why?"

"Everything you lucid dreaming, no matter how silly the dream is, get's reality. As an example. If I would lucid dreaming right now and kill you with a knife, then ..."

" ... I would be dead in reality?"

"Exactly. He does that everytime he sleeped. But from generation to generation, they create an own world, so no matter, what happened, it happening there, not here. He thought, this world is real and we are just a dream, until he find out, that's it's the opposite."

"Wow."

"However, I wanted to use him, so he lucid dream something for me, to catch Celestia and Luna and giving me there power. He had no choice and did that. But later he comes back, with princess Twilight and Rising Shine, to stop me. I couldn't hurt Rising, so I make him into stone. But Twilight and Sweet wasn't interesting, managed to kill both."

"What?! But how she ..."

"Dying wish."

"Dying wish?"

"Yep. She told me, that he probably wished, to bring her back to life and stop me. She did. But she didn't kill me ... she brought my true self, the one, right in front of you, back. The darkness prisoned my true self, but she rescued me. I will forever in her debt."

"I see. Twilight is no monster. I don't think, she could kill anypony ... not like me."

"Huh? But you didn't kill anypony, Light."

"What is with Sky and Thunder?"

"The train hit them ..."

"... because I throw Lightning on the ..."

"Stop that! You did NOT killing them. You never killed anypony."

And then I got a pretty bad flashback ... something I forgot for years ... there was more happened, when I got my scarf ... way more ...

"Light?"

"I never told anypony this ... never ..."

"Light, are you okay?"

"Star ... I done a horrible thing, when I was young. When I got the scarf on my flank. I think, I told Sky, that I would be dead, if I'm not that fast. But there is more happened on that day."

"Can you tell me? I promise, I'm not going to tell anypony else, if you want. I want to help."

"It was in the past, you can't help anymore. Promise, you don't tell anypony?"

She look worried, but nod her head.

"Okay ... it happened in an usual day, when I was 7. I was blank at my flank and it was saturday ..."

She hug me tight.

"I didn't know ... that's horrible. How could anypony do this!"

"I said already, in that part of Manehattan, this is usual. I needed years to forget that, but it looks like, it was never forgotten, just pushed away from my mind ..."

"Doesn't matter ... you are here, in Ponyville now. And you have me, Light!"

"And I'm happy, that you are here. I feel reliefed now, finally told that out. I'm sorry, if I shocked you."

"You shocked me ... that's gross!"

I hug her back.

"It's past, not now. It's okay now, Star."

She start to cry, still hugging me. I stay quet and hug her back. She cried for a while, before she let go and look into my eyes.

"We shouldn't talk about that ever again."

I only nod. It was horrible and I'm glad, that it was long time ago.

"So, what now? We still have a whole day in front of us."

I think, what we could do, but ... I have nothing in mind.

"I don't know. I have to work on monday, but we have saturday now. Have you something in mind?"

She was to answer, when we hear knocking from the door.

"Who could that be?"

"I don't know, Light."

We both walk to the entrance door, then I open it. It was Applejack.

"Oh, hey Applejack. What are you doing here?"

"We make a party for ya."

For me?

"Why? I don't know anything, why I deserve a party."

"Ya working for us, I thought, a party would be nice. Pinkie helping us."

I don't know what to say. A party, for me?

"Light, are you okay?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah, I'm right, Star. Wow, that is really nice from you, Applejack. You can count me in."

"Great! See ya 8 PM, Light."

I nod and Applejack walk away ... and her flank, I ...

"Light?"

"I'm here, I'm here!"

Please, don't tell me, I get a crush on my old crush again ...

"Are you alright, Light?"

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine, Star."

I give her a kiss on her cheek. I feel it, I definitly have feelings for Star. But why is Applejack turn me on too? Can it be, that I love 2 mares at the same time?!

"Good."

"Y-Yeah, good ... uh ... you was going to say something."

"Was I? Indeed, I was. How about ... uh ... the lake? It's a really good day today."

"Sounds good. Let's go."

I put one hoof around her neck and we start walking.

"Wait, the door."

"No problem."

She use her magic to close the door. I laugh a bit.

"Magic definitly has his use."

"Yep."

She grin to me and then I fly .. but how?

"Like it? I levitate you with my magic."

"Wow, please, take me on the ground."

She put me down with her magic.

"Don't like it?"

"Not, when I have no control of my body."

"Sorry."

We continue or way to the lake. After sometime, we reach it.

"Come on, Light!"

She run and then jump into the lake. I follow her and jump in. We laughing together. For the next hours, we just swimming around, splashing us with water or diving, before we swim back and laying us down on the sand. I hadn't such a good day for long.

"That was fun, Light!"

"Yeah, didn't feel so good for long. I'm glad, that afterall, I have a pony with me, who likes and even loves me. Thank you, Star."

Without any warning, she come closer and give me a kiss on my cheek. I blush for surprise.

"No problem, Light. I'm glad, I have you. I want to be with you forever."

Then she cuddles on me, putting her head on my chest. I put one hoof around her neck. We rest here for a while, before she lift her head and look to me.

"Light, let's do something."

"Something in your mind?"

"I think, what we could do ... hmmmmm ..."

I wait , before she finally answer.
